I havn't tried my tt02 outdoors jet, but I have achieved 35-36 cm u-turn diameter. Hope that weather here in Latvia soon will be fine to test it outdoors.
8:15 - this rear carbon shock tower looks like an XV-01 long damper stay 👌 10:04 - i think they're the same on the outside, i dont see the difference, it looks like youre holding 1 of them the wrong way round 🧐🤔
Hi! Yes that's a shock tower from XV-01 Long Damper, but the idea of the video is to "give the freedom" to adapt what you have around in order to obtain this result. Thanks for pointing it out, my mistake while filming. The outer part has been trimmed a bit too by my friend, thought was important to share this detail too
hello. 4WD front damper hard, soft on the rear. Try a few times and you'll find the run you want. After 2WD drive, the rear shock absorber is hard, and the front shock absorber is soft. The front drive is hard on the front shock absorber. I hope it was helpful
Thank you for explaining it. It is very good. In another video they show the turning radius that the xv-01 wheels. And a this model, how much turning radius it has? To compare between models. Very thank's
Picked up a 2nd TT01 SRX and want to make it a fun rally car. What shock towers did he use in this build and what sre the length of the shocks? Thank you.
OK, I'm not following why you need to create both the differential steering angles for a rally car, and why the extreme turning radius for the spindles. I understand the reasons why you would want to do that for a drift car as they need that in order to counter-steer while drifting. But why do that on a rally car unless drifting in the dirt is what you have in mind?
Because in Rc Rally we race on tight courses with narrow corners, so for a good Rally setup you need a big steering angle. For bashing around it's just necessary to increase the ground clearance. Take a look at this video ua-cam.com/video/3gln8IqqyVA/v-deo.htmlsi=6Ct-CWD1NSdm2e2y
@@dariorcgarage I'm referring to the lower chassis. I have upgraded mine to the Hop Up Options hard chassis. Do you think an upper brace is still needed if you use the hard chassis option?
0er quanto apprezzi l'inventiva la macchina non performerà mai come la xv01, bella idea ma io a sto punto lascerei la tt02 al touring e comprerei una xv01.
The regular TT02 has a big problem. Even the width is 190mm same as type s, but actually the arms of TT02 is shorter only the wheel offset to reach 190mm. Check the TRF arms that come with type S, are much longer than the regular TT02 arm. The consequence is unstable as the actual wheel base is narrow
I have a very bad experience using the TT-02 Rally. Low quality and reliability. There are a lot of breakdowns, a lot of wear and tear, and it requires a lot of spare parts and tuning. Fragile plastic in the cold. Now I only use HSP FF.
i love that you are covering all these different rally chassis thank you Dario
Welcome! More to come in the future
Hi Dario. I'm glad your back to Tamiya.
I'll keep making video related to Tamiya cars, they are amazing!
What do think about Tamiya's new XM01 chassis?@@dariorcgarage
Do you have the stl or dxf files for the upper deck?
Hey Dario I've just buy a tt02 to complete my RC builds with the xv01. What a perfect timing. Thanks for the video Dario!
Nice to know! Enjoy your TT-02
Hallo Darius,
vielen vielen Dank für die ausführlichen Vorstellung mit den dazugehörigen Maßen. Mega gut. 😊❤

Congratulations! Happy to know that this video helped you
36 likes! That is a very cool RC ride! I enjoyed the video! New sub here!
Welcome! Enjoy my UA-cam Channel 🙂
Thank you dario! The video i was waiting for!! 🎉
Welcome! Happy to know that
Great overview of TT-02 rally conversion. Thanks.
Great built, great video! Thank you for the detail explantation. Can you please give an estimate for the length of the steering rods?
Thank you! I'll try let you know, but of course are a bit longer than the stock ones. If I remember correctly 3cm
Great video Dario 👍🏻
Thanks!

Thank you for the advices
where can i get the top deck print files
Do you have a link for the upper deck printing
Where can I get this upper deck with all the steering parts?
I am realy intertested in.
Than you for a link or a contacr
Currently the upper deck and the other parts related to the steering system are self made, if there will be something available I'll let you know
@@dariorcgarage thank you, that would be great

46cm for Tamiya XV-01
Love your videos! Quick question, what radio do you use? I’m new to the hobby and want to use all the same stuff as you
Happy to know that you enjoy my videos! I used a Sanwa MX6, now I'm using a Sanwa MT-5

The rear one it's from Tamiya XV-01 (hopup) the damper's should be 5-6cm if I remember correctly
What is the front damper stay? the rear looks like from an xv01?
The rear is from XV-01, the front one I don't know since this chassis it's not mine. But you can try to adapt whatever you have

Thanks Dario for the informative video. Do you think you need the top chassis brace if you use the Tamiya Hop-up hard chassis?
Hi, can you be more precise please? To which item are you referring:)
@@dariorcgarage I'm referring to the lower chassis. I have upgraded mine to the Hop Up Options hard chassis. Do you think an upper brace is still needed if you use the hard chassis option?
Hi Dario! Whats is the diff setup on this tt02 chassis?
Hello! No diff oil, just grease

Good point! Some offset could also help
@dariorcgarage meaningless to tune camber, it just makes the steering only worse
xv02 pro chassis is a muchbetter designed chassis for a rally car otb
Agree but if you want to go on budget tt02 it's the answer

Sounds like a personal problem not the chassis.
