Hannibal Soundtrack: Red Dinner (Goldberg Variations / Bloodfest)

- Soundtrack from the final ten minutes of the shocking Hannibal season 2 finale, "Mizumono". The music is a slowed down version of Bach's Goldberg Variations, composed by Brian Reitzell for the show.
One of the best endings for a season ever. the music fit it just perfect.
"Time did reverse. The teacup that I shattered dared to come together."
Xehanort10 I thought it was "the teacup that I shattered DARED to come together"?
+mrbibs350 Now that I watched the last episode of Season 2 with the subtitles on I've realized he did say that.
"A place was made for Abigail in your world. That place was made for all of us. Together."
And they just couldn't resist using it again in S0307 Digestivo. The combination of this score with the intentional juxtaposition of Digestivo's final ten minutes against Mizumono's was heartbreaking. Yes, Will, you did change him.
I'm glad that I'm not alone in noticing the subtle use of this track when Will and Hannibal connect as one. It was also played when they met in the Florentine art gallery. This show is a psychological masterpiece
Абсолютно верно. Приятно осознавать, что я не один это заметил.
god that season finale left me in the corner of my room, trying to calm myself down...
Same
You know, it's funny how realistic the ending was. Hannibal killed 3 people, had a conversation, AND even took a stroll in the fucking rain in slow mo before the cops ever showed up. Scarily accurate to how fast the police force responds to calls...
If you look closely, you can see the red and blue lights of a police car/ambulance behind Hannibal as he walks away! Great little detail that I didn't notice at all at first...
Cops don't always show up as fast as you would think. My house has an alarm system that calls the police if someone doesn't press 'enter' after putting in the code when the alarm goes off. I was sick and kinda out of it and I forgot to press 'enter,' and I got a call from my mother less than five minutes after saying the police were gonna come to the house. Nearly an hour later, they were knocking on my door.
Police ain't always that quick.
blackbriar246
Yeah, that's what I was saying
+jase276 He only killed Abigail but before that he had her push Alana out of the window, gutted Will and stabbed Jack in the neck with a shard of glass. And it was partly the fault of that evil FBI woman Kade Purnell anyway since she took Jack's badge and sent away the snipers Jack had set up near Hannibal's house as part of his and Will's sting operation to catch Hannibal forcing Jack to have to go it alone and try to kill Hannibal himself. And all because Kade cared more about the rules of the law and Hannibal's personal rights than the lives of innocent people. Hannibal is a cannibalistic serial killer who murders innocent people and eats what's left of them. He doesn't deserve and shouldn't have rights. Only innocent people should have rights whether they're human rights or otherwise.
Dumbest thing i ever read.
"I wanted to surprise you.. And you wanted to surprise me."
I find something so utterly perplexing about that line. In some deep cosmology of mind Hannibal is righteously upset and disappointed in Wills actions, that Will is the one in the wrong.
Abigail: I didn't know what else to do so I just did what he told me.
Will: Where is he?
Will realizes Hannibal is standing behind him.
Will: You were supposed to leave.
Hannibal: We couldn't leave without you.
Here's the thing that makes NBC's Hannibal Lecter, to me, so very interesting and even compelling: Contrary to what you might expect from watching portrayals of 'psychopaths' in other tv, he has such a deep and fundamental ability to love, if only a selected few around him. Obsess and manipulate, yes - but to Hannibal, those are not interchangeable with the genuine love he experiences and acts upon. In that regard, he's very much human, which I find infinitely more fascinating for a character than the demonization and restriction of the 'complete monster' character type. The ending of season 2 hurt him as deeply, if not worse, than it hurt Will... And Mads Mikkelsen portrayed that complexity marvelously :')
Man, I'm going to miss this show...
😭😭
I love this comment because he is a fucking monster, but the love he feels for Will is one of the purest, most raw depictions of love I’ve ever seen portrayed. He just loves SO MUCH, SO PASSIONATELY, SO ALL IN, I choke up just thinking about it
"Fate and circumstance have returned us to this moment. The teacup shatters."
"I forgive you, Will."
"We couldn't leave without you"
Hannibal: You delight in wickedness and then berate yourself for the delight.
Will: You delight. I tolerate.
This scene/finale... Goosebumps everywhere.
My heart breaks everytime I hear this. Hannibal
"Fate and circumstance have returned us to this moment...When the teacup shatters."
"A place was made for Abigail in your world. Do you understand? That place was made for all of us. Together."
"I wanted to surprise you. And _you_, you wanted to surprise _me_."
"I can make it all go away. Put your head back, close your eyes. Wade into the quiet of the stream."
"I let you know me, see me. I gave you a rare gift, but you didn't want it." Thats what he says!!! He never said now see me or anything like that.
uughh, getting heartaches all over again when I hear this song. this show abused me, but I'm still rewatching it cause it's the best show I've ever watched!! I miss hannibal SO much.. come one, Fannibal! 121 days left. we are going to save Hannibal. we need to! #SAVEHANNIBAL
Hannibal: I let you know me, see me. I gave you a rare gift but you didn't want it.
Will: Didn't I?
Hannibal: You would deny me my life.
Will: No. Not your life.
Hannibal: My freedom then. You would take that from me? Confine me to a prison cell.
AND THEN HE GAVE UP HIS FREEDOM FOR WILL 😭😭😭😭
I’ll be honest, I’ve never watched Hannibal before but I heard part of this in another video and thought this sounded so amazing and it made me happy knowing that there was a longer version of it. This is powerful music that gives me the feeling for whenever something terrible and unexpected happens that causes me to have flashbacks or the feeling of karma. But honestly, this mostly gives me the feeling knowing that everybody in the world has their own problems and that we all can change, repent, and move forward knowing that we’ll still continue to have our good days and bad days.
Such a haunting piece, perfect for that haunting ending.
saral123456789 I shall be haunted for a long time since i have seen that incredible terrific scene ... A Must of Beauty ... pure and definitive ... we can say " beauty " at this high level of emotion and sadness ... it's as a suicide ... an end of the life ...
And Hannibal ...under the rain with that extraordinary music ... the tears are very near ...
saral123456789 Other Thoughts about Hannibal under the rain : Libération ... Redemption ... perhaps he could be died at this instant because all will be performed ?
i really do understand the situation hannibal is in, i mean i know he is a psychopath and a serial killer who eats people but lets not think about that, the thing that makes me a litlle sad for him is that even tho he is so cruel he was all alone all this time, there was no one he could trully trully relate to, there was no one who could really understand him, and then Will came in his life and even tho they had their bad momments, in the end i think hannibal actually thought about Will as his friend, maybe Hannibal was kinda getting happy maybe just a litlle bit, like when he still had his litlle sister with him, alive and with a pure smile, Mysha, maybe he thought he could be not so alone anymore, and then when he stabed Will he realised that it was just small, tiny happy dream, that could never come true, and that he will always be alone, no one else, just him... that made me deppressed for days to be honest...
He said he sees Will as a friend and he incriminated him, I mean wtf? Maybe that's how it's real friendship... OK, he's a psycho
Esteban Gabriel Puga
well i have heard that psychopaths feel friendships differentlly i guess this was his way.
😭😭😭
He was really in love with Will
Most romantic stabbing EVER.
lol
I stopped watching during the middle of season 3 so many years ago but damnnnn I miss this show in it’s prime and I NEED to rewatch it all again so I can finish it once and for all🙌
You should! Season 3 is essentially two seasons in one, and I much prefer the second half.
came back to this after watching the season 3 finale and i'm so upset. hannibal was a masterpiece, i feel like i've lost something beautiful. don't know what will fill this hannibal sized hole in my heart :(
+Emily Farrow oh my god here i am just after having watched the s3 finale, i had a sudden urge to listen to this song again and i feel exactly the same : (
same feeling here this series got deep inside me I keep listening to the soundtracks I guess a part of me is still attached to it.
Am I the only one that gets really sad when I hear this?
Definitely not.
Yes
nope i get a feeling of sadness and idk i cant explain the other emotions
Nope.
Yes i saw the last episode and it was so sad; (
one of the best soundtrack, but only feels nice when you live with the moment
I've spent days looking for this, thanks for uploading! I love this soundtrack!
Thank you for uploading! :)
The best epsiode and music. I didn't realize how much this show sucked me in, until this season 2 ending, and I cried big fat ass tears. Hannable makes you soooo mad yet captivate you at same time. I'll never be sane again lol.
"You wanted to know me .... NoW see me !" I offered you a gift s but you didn't want it ...Hannibal
I personally felt such hurt and longing in those words hannibal spoke ... He truly let Will in and felt hurt and he didn't know how to deal with that pain because I truly feel in that moment Hannibal realized he was human ... Bryan Fuller has done an amazing job breaking hannibals character down dare I say better than Thomas Harris ever did ! Just my imo
I doubt this version of Hannibal has any humanity in him whatsoever. He's just a monster. He slit Abigail's throat in front of Will just to hurt him because in his mind Will had "betrayed" him. Still a great version of the character though and Mads Mikkelsen plays him brilliantly. The fact that Hannibal claimed to be Will's friend but hid his encephalitis from him, framed him for his copycat murders, induced seizures in him, slept with Alana both as an alibi and to get at Will, faked Abigail's death, brainwashed her,cut her ear off and forced it down Will's throat and also slitting her throat in the exact same way her father Garrett Jacob Hobbs did are a testament to how evil he is. Not to mention keeping Miriam Lass captive for 2 years and brainwashing her into believing that Chilton was the Chesapeake Ripper.
I think Hannibal must have got the idea to frame Chilton as the Ripper 2 years before the start of the series. He probably heard about Chilton claiming that Abel Gideon was the Chesapeake Ripper and decided to make everyone think that the reason Chilton was claiming Gideon was the Ripper was because Chilton himself was the Ripper. Then after Miriam found Hannibal's Wound Man diagram and realized Hannibal was the Ripper when she noticed that Jeremy Olmstead's body was posed similar to the diagram. Then Hannibal choked her into unconsciousness then spent the next 2 years brainwashing Miriam with light flashing therapy and imitating Chilton's voice so she would think Chilton was the Ripper. Then he cut her arm off and sent a recording of Miriam to taunt Jack then everything else happened.
@Rick Drake Hannibal actually said "I let you know me,see me. I gave you a rare gift but you didn't want it." And it's hypocritical for Hannibal to feel betrayed by Will after what he did to him,Alana,Abigail,Jack,Miriam,Chilton,Georgia and all those others. Hannibal isn't human. He's a monster plain and simple.
Xehanort10 Hannibal is totally human. He's just unlike any other human. He feels emotions, just not the way normal people do. Brian and Mads both have talked about this in different interviews and stuff. It is hypocritical of Hannibal to feel betrayed by Will, but Hanni doesn't see it that way. Nothing is more important to Hannibal than himself. So in his eyes, what he did to Alana, Jack, and Georgia was necessary (self-preservation). He hates Chilton, so he doesn't regret framing him. He had to get rid of Miriam anyways, so he figured he'd have some fun with her. Totally evil, but this is his reasoning. He saw something beautiful in Will, and he believed that Will would be better as a killer. So everything he did to push Will over the edge, he thought was for Will's benefit. He saved Abigail for Will, and when his whole plan fell through, he had to get rid of Abigail too. He did it in front of Will to spite him.
Hannibal feels betrayed by Will because he thought that they had a mutual understanding and respect for each other. Which they did. But he didn't expect Will to hold on so tightly to his morality, and he didn't expect Will to totally play him and try to get him caught by the FBI. He truly thought he and Will were going to go have an awesome life together and then he realized it was all an act, in a situation that required him to kill/incapitate several people he likes and admires (Alana, Jack, Will) in order to escape. So he was pretty hurt. Justifiable? Maybe not. But that's the way he felt.
blackbriar246 Yah I have to say many of the DARKEST things that Hannibal does in our eyes is in result of people either catching on to him or getting to close. He wouldn't hurt people like Jack, Alana, Will, or Abigail for his normal purposes which are made pretty clear. Chilton was an alibi, Miriam got to close and was his distraction for Jack. And the point you made about how he saw Will is spot on. Will's transformation through the second season he wasn't so scattered and broken always on the verge of falling apart. He could use his techniques etc much quicker and even in the presence of others. He had to take Will all the way down the rabbit hole so that he could transform into his true self and so that he could truly understand Hannibal. Hannibal in my opinion loved Will and that's why he's so hurt by what he see's as the betrayal. I think of most people and review you and I would agree most briar, our interpretation is very similar. I also want to point out that even in that beautiful performance by Mads my favorite line is when Will says "I already did." And Hannibal reflects on how true it is. Hannibal before will would never have gotten so close to someone, or played such a dangerous game. Or put everything on the line and give it all up for someone. That's what all of the face morphing scenes etc in my mind were about. I feel like they were both meeting in the middle.. and rubbing off on each other so much that they were almost trading sides, or becoming one. Which is what I think Hannibal subconsciously wanted.
Season 2 was my favourite of the 3 seasons and this ending was part of the reason why.
This Score gives me such chills, man!
Yes ikr
Thanks for posting this.
Pure beauty...I'm in heaven
Hannibal: Did you believe you could change me? The way I've changed you.
Will: I already did.
This serie is amazing , exelent soundtrack.
It's not just Bach's Goldberg Variations, it is actually a specific piece from the Goldberg Variations, known as Aria Da Capo.
best finale ever
This makes me sooo emotional omg
reading the deep comments while listening
:(
Same, like what i do now
You described the mood perfectly
amazing
love DAT music
I am so pissed off with NBC. This show was an amazing and a must see. But what I have noticed with NBC is that they produse the same show but with a different story and characters like The Player, Blindspot and The Blacklist (im not hating on The Blacklist I actualy love that show but the others are shit) Most of the shows on NBC are TV crime dramas with unknown actors that play in a seanon or two and the show is cancled. Same thing happned a few months ago with a show called Alligance they canceled it a few episodes into the season and didnt even finish it. THIS SHOW IS SO BEAUTIFUL. I've seen every episode live and have cried so much during the season finales and again am so pisses off they had to cancel a show which had an amazing fanbase and support and will be replaced for some C rated TV show you will forget about in five minutes. I think I have ranted enough. This lamb is done screaming.
"The tea cup is broken."
tragic scene + music ❤
I said you can be blind, not brave
There should have been at least two more seasons. I wouldn't mind it ending after that but seriously.
+VideogameGuitarist If they had gotten the rights to Silence of the Lambs they could have finally brought Clarice Starling and Buffalo Bill in and have Hannibal kill Chilton.
when you realize that you are alone forever. god bless the walls.
Psychic Healing
man sometimes i feel like i wanna be him when hearing this.i mean it just brings out the tears from our eyes because of HIM only.we are feeling sorry for a KILLER.and it feels good tho....
*I gave you a rare gift - but you didn't want it*
Didn't I?
Am i the only one around who feels with hannibal and feels sad for him ? The only one who understood him? Accepted his personaity and aggreed with his actions? and would befriend him befriend him ?
I wouldn't say the only one, but I do not sympathise. I would kill him on the spot after such pain and suffering he has caused countless others. Don't get me wrong he is an interesting character and I respect and frankly am at awe with his whit, but that wouldn't stop me going for his jugular.
Tugrul Irmak Hard cut to you laughing while having dinner with him. You saying:
"I can't even remember what I was doing here!:P"
***** The original book was released in 1981.
Corvus Clamor Brain Fuller, the creator, was saying that he cried multiple times while writing this. It had upset /the writer/ that Will had betrayed Hannibal, so you're definitely not the only one who feels for him.
Wicker _ I agree, but apparently Hannibal thought he was. :(
I would like you to upload the "Hannibal black devil-deer theme" wich sounds when Will Graham sees that monster.
It's heard in this video here:
Hannibal Soundtrack: 2x10 Wendigo Quintet
There's an official soundtrack released now, and a better version of it is heard in the track ''Savoureux''. :) You might be able to find it online somewhere.
oh shit! sorry my french, thats the sound!
ay harikaaaaaaaaağğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğğ
and here i thought the red wedding was bad.
Please upload more Hannibal music
i second the motion.
I could do that! As long as there's not too much background noise... Any scene in particular you want me to look at?
not that I can think of right now. I just meant in general. Anything from the television show, please.
i wanna offer a piece of myself to this guy :P
Does anyone know if the OST is available to by?
Bu Müziği Dinledinmi İnsan Başka dünyaya geçiyor.👏
So is this the music that's playing when Hannibal stabs Will and kills Abigail? I've been looking for this track since I watched the finale... Please tell me this is it.
This is it!
FringeMusic107 Fantastic! Thank you so much for uploading this.
No its when abigail throws alana outta the window.alana dies, and in slow motion as the rain drops fall, the music plays....
Tasin Al-Hassan Actually it plays during the whole final scene, not just that part. If you listen closely, you can hear Hannibal stabbing Will.
Robert Hoyt i mean it starts playing from that part and so on
God is in the rain.
Don't really like season 3, but the first two are awesome.
Any chance to get this piece without background sounds from the scene in which it played?
+Joeygm download the OST , it's the last one from season 2. cheers
what's the song called and who's the artist ? Thanks
is someone in background
I noticed that too O.o
Kinda looks like it could be the shape of Hannibal/Wendigo looking in at himself from the outside, at what just happened
what instrument is this?
It's Bach's Goldberg Variations played on piano, but slowed down about six times. Here's what it would've sounded like originally:
ua-cam.com/video/PV8Ddqt4670/v-deo.html Hannibal plays the tune himself after he kills Tobias in season 1, and it's played a few more times throughout the show (the very first scene Hannibal appears in, during the credits of episode 2x13, before the Red Dragon attacks Will and Hannibal in the series finale...)
oh my god this series is brilliant, they managed to get the most emotional song yet (or the one we assosciate the most with hannibal) and use it in the final of season 2 to create emotion and a whole new kind of song. I love it.
I eat women, the fear inside
of course they had to ruin this series with lgbt bs just like everything else
