Decidueye is the Grass starter from Alola, a region based on Hawaii. It is based on the extinct Stilt-Owl native to Hawaii, that‘s where it gets the Ghost type. Another inspiration is Robin Hood for obvious reasons.

Cris, you created this "Bully the owl" meme and now I can't even exist without having the entire enemy team gank my lane, chase through flux zone, abandon objectives and team fights just to chase me.
I'm used to the pain but my friend tried playing Decidueye yesterday and kept screaming "Why aren't they attacking the Urshifu stacking in their face? They followed me from top to mid, jungle to flux zone. LEAVE ME ALONE!"
THIS! The bright side is they launch at me mindlessly, so I or some mindful teammate can kill them.
Unless it's a zeraora with THAT attack... or a charizard with ulti :c

I’m a decidueye main. My average games are 100k+. This build is the right build to use to get the highest physical attack damage needed for them spirit shackles.
With a good tank and healer decidueye is a terrible nuisance to deal with at range.
When owl wants revenge, It doesn't kill cris, it makes cris play it. No.1 solo que player truly is the GOAT at every mon
If they give shadow sneak a dash and give Decideuye a way to get cooldown reduction like cinderace and Greninja get in their moves then decidueye will most definitely be a meta pick
Or if shadow sneak grants you a shield like Charizard flare blitz 🤔🤔
@@Mayankyadav4262 The shield wouldn't be too useful while Glaceon, Urshifu, Zacian and Ttar destroy that instantly and every single other Pokémon can just breathe on Decidueye and break his shield.

also the teammates have to know how to play WITH decidueye, they have to defend him when enemies are approacing in team fights or he's dead 90% of the times
I main goodra so I always lane with long range attackers so that I can tank for them 🥰
that's why positioning is key. it's a huge drawback for snipers to reveal their location

I've said since day 1, Shadow Sneak should have a movement speed buff. It's meant to be your scouting and escqping move but you can't escape if you're moving in slow motion and everything has dash moves.
If deci had mobility it’d be busted

@@IFeelWeak I mean, I play in soloq most of the time so I mean as a solo carry it's frustrating when Shadow Sneak goes into a bush and I start to back up and aim only to have an Urshifu hop out and lunge at me. Tbh, maybe the issue is the range of Shadow Sneak.
It would be broken with too much movement speed, that is true but it has like an 11 second timer and you can only use it to scout or retreat so once its on cooldown you're still a target. Especially since "Kill the owl." is a meme in the Unite community.
@@themarimo3324 I never said to be a speedster, that's a *SERIOUS* exaggeration. I said a movement speed buff when it uses Shadow Sneak, meaning that every 11 seconds it gets to move slightly faster. I don't mean Greedent, Dodrio or Play Rough Azumarill speed.

Thoughts on running muscle scope razer claw instead of going for stacks?
Especially for games you're losing, since if you get to stack at all you're probably already winning.
scope increases crit which is better when running razor leaf build. you don't really have to fully stack decideueye because their dmg is still insane even if you only have 2 stacks. if you want to keep the muscle band, go for razor claw and float stone because float stone gives you some mobility and higher atk stat

Deci is crazy good, but I wouldn’t say broken. It’s pretty team reliant since it’s mobility isn’t that good and it’s squishy. Deci with frontline covering him is very amazing. I use deci for solo but most of the time I get targeted because they see me pop off early game which without me, my team dies. But spirit shackle is a crazy good secure, I’ve secured ray so many times with it!
also deci kinda flies when he uses unite. he flies and rotate in one place
deci is strong and good if u know how to play as one.
razor leaf is also good, it deals tons of damage.

I started playing decidueye recently when psyshock espeons were everywhere, I was better than expected and really satisfying

Decidueye is a niche pick, so fun when you’re able to get a good deci game going
Decidueye is a menace when with good teammates. When I play with friends, one of us usually takes Decidueye because that pokemon will destroy despite not fully stacking atk weight haha

Spirit Shackle has done too much damage for months, considering how big the arrow is its so easy to hit too
Every Pokémon can be one of the best if you play it good enough. That’s why people who are using a character with a gold star usually does better than a person who doesent main that character.
