I started brushing my hair with a tangle teezer and it changed my detangling game completely. I don’t feel any breakage, it’s very fast and defines my curls, you might wanna try it
I wouldn’t necessarysay the comb was pulling more hair but I’d say finger detangling doesn’t get all the shed hairs out completely because combing you’re able to get your root hairs better

You could, but it's not recommended. Detangle during wash days and wear protective hairstyles after words. To prevent more tangles when wash day comes around again.

Protective hairstyles are hairstyles that protect your hair from being damaged while also allowing it to grow. My personal favorites are two strand twists and French braids. You can refresh the hairstyles by watch a tutorial on one that you picked until wash day comes around.
