What triggers the reverse portion of the light? Can you trigger a relay with a reverse light wire so they only come on in reverse? Or maybe both, rev and upfitter switch?

They do come on when in reverse with our plug in tail light adapter. It powers the reverse power/trigger and the red backlights with the running/tail lights. You can also get that with our long harness for switch control as well or without the reverse trigger. It’s all plug n play.
