Ship rescue 15.09.2021

The RACQ CapRescue crew performed a hot unload (rotors still turning) on the deck of the ship Grebe Arrow just before midday today. The vessel was situated off the Gladstone coastline when the rescue took place.
CapRescue airlifted a man who had suffered a significant injury to his arm when a metal object fell - resulting in multiple suspected fractures. He was treated and prepared for flight by our onboard flight Paramedic and Doctor and remained in a stable condition throughout the journey.
