- Here’s an updated look at my shoe collection. These are the shoes that I either wear regularly OR that I keep for special occasions. Like, my dress shoes aren’t getting much wear now, but they’re crucial for wedding season and, not to be morbid but, the occasional funeral.
And quick disclaimer: you’ll notice that lots of my shoes are pretty, how do you say: conditioned. I don’t baby my shoes. I like to wear them in and prefer to let some patina show. I do clean my dress shoes before wearing them out to important events, and I wipe my leather sneakers down with baby wipes on occasion, but other than that, I just let them get scuffed up. I realize you may treat your shoes differently, and of course that’s okay too!

Brother I appreciate all of your content. Your presentation is always precise, insightful, thoughtful and most of all relaxed. There’s so many other channels on UA-cam where the hosts are yelling at the top of their lungs as if I’m hard hard of hearing. Not sure why that is or what it’s supposed to prove??? With your vids it’s like we are sitting at a table enjoying a beer and just talking like friends. You’re the best. I don’t know your name but “modest man” keep it up.

I agree, wear sandals! They’re comfy and I like having an outdoorsy aesthetic - my Chacos get lots of use in the summer just like my fleece jacket does in the fall/winter!

Living in Phoenix sandals are just kind of mandatory, at least in the summer. Definitely at least for the hiking/climbing/rafting/desert life in the southwest. Tevas rock, especially since they were born in the Canyon.
Very nice, diverse shoe collection Brock. Thanks for sharing. These days my favorite Brand is Allen Edmond’s with upwards of 20 pair, including Strand, Fifth Avenue, HIggins Mill, etc. models. Having said that, my all time favorite shoes are Church’s Shoes out of the U.K. I have one of Church’s hand stitched medium tan Cap Toe Oxfords which I really love. Even though they are more than 25 years old, they are in tremendous condition and tend to be my go to shoes for weddings and other special events. Love the "low key" look of your shoe collection. I have a very similar collection minus the monks. Totally agree about not babying shoes. Dress shoes of course need to look pristine: that's the point of them. But all the others look better when they DON'T look like you just bought them. Leather boots, boat shoes, and other casual leather shoes just look so much better when they have developed a wear pattern and the leather becomes seasoned and patinaed. That being said, I consider my shoes dirty and never wear or even store them inside the house. They have ventilated storage bags and shelves in the garage.
I've been recently wearing my Allen Edmonds Long Branch in brown the most... no break in time and extremely comfortable plus I like the wingtip broguing. I can wear them in the snow also.

Here in India, we almost exclusively wear sandals. The heat and dirt makes it difficult to maintain and wear sneakers all the time.

I'm really into minimalist footwear. The genre has matured immensely the last years. Now there is starting to be a fairly decent amount of choice, even when looking from different styles point of view. My absolute favorite pick up for this F/W is the Liverpool boot from the brand Groundies.!
check out nobull.. they last forever.. The minimalistic look ones only come out 1 or 2 times a year & do well. Also now that Nike owns converse. Some hidden gems 💎 with no logos are avaliable.
My shoutout for those would be the Lems Summit boots those are fantastic.

Loafers are my favorites. I stopped wearing oxfords and derbies, sometimes sneakers but I prefer alpargatas. My most worn are TLB Mallorca loafers. I’ve got 2 and I’m unsure which one I like more.
My go to shoes during this time of year are my redwing blacksmiths. During the rest of the year my favorite shoe is my vans

Great collection that is versatile and practical. I have 2 pairs of Captain's and like the look of Thursday's Chelseas. Maybe I'll add a pair to my wish list lol.
My most worn shoes at the moment are probably my huckberry outdoor slipper boots. They're very cozy for staying in the house and have a bit of a rubber sole so I can go outside and check the mail or whatever without worrying about the soles. For real shoes, my go-tos at the moment are dark brown suede chelsea boots. I love chelsea boots
Right now it is my Grant Stone Diesel boots in crimson CXL. Great for everything, from hiking to motorcycling to date night.

My most worn pair of shoes is probably the beeswax brown Clark's desert boots. Nice shoe collection!
I wear my Clarks Hinman (rough) suede chelsea in fall and spring. And just got Timberland Redwood Falls Moc Toe for wet and snowy days.
I just got some Jodhpur Boots last week that I am waiting for in the mail which I think you should try a pair because it very minimalism in it look also it has a very clean look and no one is wearing them so you will stand out from most

You have nice variety in your collection. I'm not a sandal guy personally, but nothing wrong with them whatsoever. I just don't like having my feet exposed, unless i'm at the beach or pool. My collection is definitely sneaker top-heavy, and that stems from being a former sneakerhead, as well as working in an office that has casual dress every day. My favorite would probably be my Ultraboosts. I highly recommend those for running/casual errands. I'm also a big fan of Vans authentics and old school's.
I purchased a pair of Thursday Boots right before Covid hit, so i've only been able to wear them once but they are extremely comfortable and rugged. I also have several pairs of Chelsea boots, I'd say 4-5 pairs in various colors. I own LLBean boots for snow that i've had since college and they still look great. I do own a pair of walnut Allen Edmond Strands, which are usually my go-to for formal wear. And I have pair of black Cole Haan double Monk. This lockdown and working remotely has made me realize that maybe I have too many shoes... Oh well. Not the worst problem to have in the world. Cheers and Happy Holidays!

Right now I wear my Baudoin and Lange Sagan loafers more than anything. They are really comfortable and look great!
My most worn pair of shoes this season is Salomon winter running boots, which i use as everyday boots all the time.
In the past I just always wear sneakers but Man I gotta say that boots have really become my new style
20 years ago I would have loved this collection (and I still do today). It’s so much easier to find shoes In bigger sizes now. 15 year old me is jealous, though.

My most worn are the Vancouver boot by Allen Edmonds right now. Made from chromexel leather they are stylish and great for snow due to the properties of the leather.
It's hot in Brazil and we do walk in the city wearing flip flops, no big deal, in work environments we don't

Most worn Viberg Crust service boots, most loved, Grant Stone bourbon suede loafers. I have several pairs of GS and they just get better with time.

I’m really into my shoes & trainers. I have probably have about sixty pairs( including sandals and thongs ( Aussie for flip flops). I love colour and texture. I pretty much have trainers / sneakers in every colour(suede and leather for street wear) but pure synthetic for exercise. I have eight pairs of different Birkenstocks. Seven pairs of dress shoes. Ten pairs plimsolls/deck shoes/ minimal sneakers in leather, suede & canvas. I have four pairs of Chelsea boots, taupe suede, black, brown & tan leather. Four pairs of Chuck Taylor 70’s high tops. In white, baby blue, orange & white which I dyed with tea. Three pairs of Wellington boots. A pair of Hunter side adjustable olive green, a pair of Hoggs of Fife in forest green & pair of Barbour in leaf green( l do a lot of gardening) 2 pairs of Pharrell Williams Hu slides( one in orange & one black pair, a pair DKNY leather thongs, plus a pair of their cycling shoes. A pair of Pharrell Williams/Adidas white tennis shoes. Three pair is Puma speedcats( one Ferrari silver and navy, one Ferrari yellow & a white and grey pair for BMW) four pairs of Puma Mostro ( white/black perforated leather, 10years & going strong & a pair in black & one beige leather & a pair in khaki seude all over ten years old) a pair of Diesel quilted khaki high tops in a technical fabric. Love your content as always.
Year round: I wear sneakers. Chuck Taylors hi tops for street and causal wear. For exercise, I usually wear Adidas's and Reeboks.
Fall/winter: Chelsea boots, I own four pairs, my black Chelsea boots are my most worn on a regular basis. I wear brown Chelsea boots, that are H&M brand. I occasionally wear my tan suede chelseas.
Spring/summer:
I wear boat shoes and loafers. I own at up to 6 different kinds of sperrys and up to five different kinds of loafers. I usually wear boat shoes and loafers in warmer months.
Also, I outgrew being afraid to wear sandals in public. However, the only sandal I wear are flip flops, I own several leather flip flops and the reasonable priced plastic Havaianas. Like those brands in flip flops.
But those are all the shoes I've worn regularly.

My most worn shoes have to be my:
1-Nike Joyride CC in Green Sequoia Black - For everyday casual
2-Belleville Hot Weather steel toe Combat Boots - For work
3-Uniqlo Green Plaid Slippers - For around the house
-I'll buy a nice pair of double monk dress shoes for my next formal event... but right now I have some H&M navy suede shoes and some brown oxfords to get me by.
What are your go-to no-show socks for loaders/boat shoes? I have some Sperry ones that are alright, but they still show some with Loafers and tend to slide down my heel.

I’ve tried them on but they were a bit long and narrow for my feet, so I haven’t owned a pair long term. I’m sure they live up to the hype, though!
Question about the Oliver Cabells, is the Suede weather proof like the other two chelseas mentioned?
I agree with the idea of not treating shoes like some sacred entity and just wear them, however I do take a bit extra care of mine, like investing in shoe trees and giving them a good clean every once in a while
I 100% agree with nicer shoes "with character". My Allen Edmonds were my everyday shoe until Covid. They broke in beautifully, feel amazing, and look super-comfortable and have that sort of casual yet "expensive" character. I do nothing to them except a little leather conditioner once in a while since Ohio winters and salted sidewalks can be cruel. That said, if I was going to wedding and wanted to really step up the shoe game, I WOULD wear something more cared for and polished up.

Chucks for everyday casual wear, but try to find reasons to throw on the Greats Royale or moc toe work boots

I have 10 pairs of koios . Definitely gonna be the Capri Nero .
I believe the thing about sandals, thongs(what we call flip flops in Australia, look up what thong & thonging definition in a dictionary, before laughing at us!) is that most men I notice wearing this type of footwear don’t practice proper footcare or maintenance. I usually start my major foot care regimen in latter winter time so they are ready for spring. Most guys feet are quite horrendous.

I have Thursday Chelsea boots and happy with the quality. There is one new Brand Lethato seen on different portals and I saw their boots are attractive and reasonably priced. Any feedback from you on this brand.

Tie between my BS tan Hoyt double monks and brown penny loafers. Boots on weekends. Also a Chelsea addict. Sandstone suede and black leather Thursday Chelsea’s and tan tonal New Republic Chelsea’s. My most worn pair of shoes is probably my Allen Edmonds 5th Ave in the coffee color. Super versatile but I mostly wear them with a navy suit or grey flannel trousers (I’m an attorney and can’t work from home).

Brock what would you recommend for invisible loafer socks that arent expensive and are available on Amazon? I tried some but they gave me really terrible heel blisters hopefully they heal on their own as I really prefer not to see any doctor right now I need ones with better heel comfort and protection from blisters.
