Having the screwheads on the same side actually requires an extra manipulation during machining vs on diagonal sides. That is a nifty detail, Oris.

@The dhgate 1:1 Replica reviews you're definitely missing the point of purchasing authentic. sure, if you're buying the watch to be able to tell time, go get yourself a Casio. there is a reason people call it an "investment." it's one of the few articles of fashion one can buy that will hold it's value and not depreciate. this is how wealthy people stay wealthy. and cheap people stay at the bottom. if you buy shit that doesn't retain its value, you are throwing away your money.

Establishing a new brand costs a lot of money and time. Faking other watch brands makes sense to these factories because it saves them marketing and don't need customer service or even after sale service dept. That all translates to $$ in the pocket of the ring leaders.

@The dhgate 1:1 Replica reviews WTF you want people to buy fake? Dude, those chinese factories work illegal, paying less than the minimum to their workers, i don't care if they offer the same quality for less price, it is still a fake, a copy, something done illegally, but i can't convince you to stop buying fake, so continue supporting thiefs.

However, the Y screws in an original ORIS AQUIS, can be facing both sides. I mean that, if you unscrew them and put the Y Head from the other side, it works perfectly nice. So, maybe, the Y-screw criteria is not absolute.

Mountain Standard Time Good morning from Athens Greece. I totally agree with you... and, funny thing, I received my ORIS CLIPPERTON with the one screw placed like you showed on the fake watch...!!! But, this was because I asked from the retailer to change the rubber strap and put the bracelet on the watch before sending it to me... they probably placed the screw upside down.
Fortunately, I registered my watch to the ORIS site (MyOris) and it was perfectly accepted and warrantied for 3 years, which means that the Serial Number was REAL..!!!
Wonderful video, though,... I would never see any difference...!!! It is quite admirable, the job these fellows are doing..!!!

I am still not 100% convinced its a fake. I used to be very involved in the high end replica collecting caper and I never once saw a rep Aquis. Have a look through forums such as RWI and RWG, you will not see one having been offered for sale, ever. The bracelet screw being backwards....an easy mistake to make, and the watch showing up on the Oris site with a rubber strap....this could so easily been changed over, which is probably when the screw was inserted backwards! As others have rightly said, the time and effort to make a "super rep" or a relatively cheap watch just doesnt make sense. This is common place for APs, Pateks and Rolex but an Oris? I just cant see it.

I’ve got a brand new Aquis Date purchased from a reputable authorized dealer and the crown on mine (sandblasted finish with polished “oris” logo) definitely has some bite / sharpness around the outer edge if you drag your finger across is with a little pressure. Not saying your video is wrong necessarily, but that alone isn’t an indication as I can confirm mine is a little “sharp” too. But also what’s sharp to me and sharp to you might be different :). @@h0tdish If you bought it from an AD I wouldn't worry about a thing. It's clear at this point that the crown logo feeling a little "sharp" isn't uncommon. Doesn't indicate a fake watch at all. But as long as you're buying from an authorized dealer and not grey market or ebay you can rest assured it's genuine. Authorized dealers who want to stay in business longer than a week or two don't sell fake watches. That's the whole point of them being authorized by the brand to carry their product.

All Oris Aquis that are considered in the old category start at the year 2017 and back, only have two Mercedes style pins to hold down the crown. And 4 flat head screw down pins for strap either bracelet type or rubber watch strap. But all Oris Aquis 2018 and up, have 4 Mercedes style pins on Crown side and 2 flat head screw down pins on opposite side for strap. Sir this is a kind correction please do the research I have.

I like to buy from companies based in Sweden where i know the laws and i can comunicate whit them easy via phone or face to face if somthing goes wrong! • @edu.yoursolution

Hey guys. Am not saying those are real ones. Just the evidence for fake is rubbish. It is not new, right? Tri-head screw probably was the product of strap change (probably watch originaly comes with rubber or leather band). And the box? OK, again - its not new, right? Perhaps seller didn't have original box and uses box from different model (my wife has Artelier Skeleton Diamonds from AD with the very same box). I have feeling, that "watch guys" tend to see fake everywhere. There is a space for minor differences between watches (those two might have few years gap from each other). And yep - even though I am Oris fan, I don't think that making such a perfect fake is profitable and therefore i would bet it`s legit.

Thanks for this “follow up” video to Cubex68’s. He had been getting a ton of flak in the video with people saying it was real.... I think your video helps dispel that and further prove that there’s a serial fake Oris maker out there. Also looking recently into Bruce Williams videos, he had gotten a Green Oris (where the date window was VERY OFF). And reading into the comments on that one, it was brought up that he returned it to his seller cause he wasn’t sure it was real...
As for your video, since I don’t own an Oris yet so I can’t test it, on the screw heads for the bracelet, would there be a chance that the one flipped screw went in the wrong way from a strap change? I’m thinking not, as I’m sure the threads only work one way. And as for the boxes I’m with you on it being fake. Usually I don’t like to use boxes as a test of validity cause you can buy people’s real boxes online for a reasonable price... but in this case the box helps to the fact that it’s a fake watch!
Again, thanks for your video and redive into these items. The fact that 3 UA-camrs have all “found” these suspicious looking watches.. it really dispels any idea that a funky reservice was done by a rogue watchmaker. Cheers!

Thanks for the video. It’s very informative and eye opening. I wonder how many people commenting that this is a real watch have actually ever owned or even seen a genuine Oris Aquis. As the owner of a genuine Aquis, I can see that there are enough anomalies here to ring alarm bells. Along with the other fake Aquis videos on here, it’s clear that there is a serious problem here. Those asking why would anyone bother faking an Oris when they could be faking Rolex, just think how many people would not question being able to buy an Aquis for £800, but would be suspicious of a Rolex for that sort of money. It makes sense to me. Also, the user ‘Sunny’ seems so desperate to disprove these are fake with his comments on this video and the others, I wonder if he has an anterior motive. Hmmm.

Looks like the watchuseek posting got removed.
Anyways, I got my watch in the mail. eBay kicked the user off of their platform already. To my disbelief, this watch is most likely fake. The box is made form this awful cardboard, doesn't fit together very well. The glue is inconsistently applied. Inside the actual presentation box, the watch slot is misaligned, there's a pull tab that doesn't reveal anything either. This all screams fake box. I just can't find anyone who is faking these. They are coming from a CA address, so I'm wondering if it's the same people who used to fake subs and went on to make Ginaults. Very bizarre and be careful! Sorry for doubting you.

I recently fell into this trap, buying a fake ProPilot from eBay. When I realized it was a fake, I initiated the return claim. However, Oris HQ would not provide me with anything saying that the watch was fake and neither would my nearest authorized dealer who initially clued in that the watch might be fake. The best thing I could give eBay was a screenshot of an email from Oris HQ saying that the watch's serial number did not register in their system. However, this was not enough for eBay and they sided with the seller. I am super disappointed and out $850. Does anyone know a way to appeal eBay's decision or convince Oris to send me something more official. I know I am late to this video, but I'd appreciate any advice.
