Hector, I think the issue with the bank feeds has been fixed. I have the latest version of Quickbooks Enterprise and just entered a receipt following your tutorial and when looked for the transaction in the bank feeds QBE had matched it.
Hi Hector, really enjoyed the insightfulness of this video. I recently just upgraded to QBd 2022 and I am looking to clean up and improve upon previous bookkeeping methods. The receipt and bill management is just one way I hope to accomplish this. You demonstrated attaching the receipt to a CC transaction...I have never utilized the Credit Card management feature previously and I would be REALLY interested in a tutorial video on how to utilize the CC management in QBd and how it transitions into paying the CC bill. I find your videos very insightful and useful, especially to a newbie. Thanks again and keep up the great content.
@@HectorGarciaCPA hi hector I was referencing how you used the receipt upload function and it attached to the credit card in quickbooks. Not entering a Bill as a CC charge.
What I mean by CC bill is at the end of the month, paying of the statement balance. Previously I have just written a check. I have never used the CC management tool so curious as to how that ties in when it is time to pay the balance due if that makes more sense…thank you!
I love that I can attach receipts in QB, but is there a way to also download the receipt if you wanted to file in a job's google drive folder for example?
No "Move To Bills option in "action" drop-down on main screen (see your 5:12 mark). After opening receipt to review, no "Move to Bills" option in lower left corner...just Delete. No drop-down arrow like your video at the 8:03 mark. Scoured internet for answer. Looked in Preferences for possible settings. Saved file. Closed down. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance.
Hector, your QB instruction videos are most helpful. I am currently assisting a QBDT client with receipt management and this seems like a really good option for him. I have also introduced him to the Epson rapid receipt scanner that integrates with QB. We are trying to decide the best option of the two. He currently does not use bank feeds. I have been matching receipts to credit card statements and then entering all the transactions manually. This was a clean-up for previous years and now going forward, I would like to see him take advantage of the digital features that are available. I am apprehensive of going to mobile receipt capture that is in the QB app, because I have not had any success with it. I don't know it the problem lies with my mobile device or with the QB app. Let me know if the receipt management/bank feed issue has been updated and also if you have encountered issues with the receipt capture on the mobile app. Thank you for your insight.
I have on issue after downloading vender receipts then you will make it as a bill (with positive number is no problem) but with negative number like credit doesn't work gives error massage (example -20.35) this is important because when I go to Pay my bills the receipt need to show as Negative to math my statement payment
@@HectorGarciaCPA ok, then the receipt/bills kind of useless when you paying statement total it will not match because of credits, is there a work around? I can enter vender credit but its in different sections from receipts so it can't be match with statement payment.
Seems like a lot of steps for a one line item bill. By the time I get done with all that I could have typed it and made sure it was in the right place. For larger bills we separate out the sales tax paid to vendors, assign service vs install, add customer name etc. Again, I think I can type it in quicker had to wait 15 minutes for the bill to "process". Also worried about all the attachments as I was told the more I put into QB the more it will bog it down. When I went into doc center it would not let me remove the attached document!
Hi we own a couple of grape fields it’s under same company but is there a way to separate expenses like we bought this for the 30 acres and this for the 20 acres is that possible? Thanks
Thanks for your videos! Please, if I download all the transactions directly from the bank, and scan with ScanSnap, is there a way for quickbooks to automatically select the receipt that corresponds to it (for example, by finding the exact match of date, provider, and value), or do I have to do I selected it manually/ Thank you!
I'm not sure if I missed something, is there a way to split the transactions of a receipt? Can you do it when you review it for example different class codes? Just wondering. Thanks.
Hola Hector .Quiero felicitarlo a usted y su equipo por el trabajo que hacen me han ayudado a entender QuickBooks.Puede compartirme el video de solucionar las transacciones duplicada Gracias y Bendiciones
What implications will all the pdf or jpef files have on file size and QB performance as the file grows larger and larger? I read somewhere that files sizes over 250mb start having issues. Thank you.
Hi Hector, Your videos are invaluable, btw! Two questions: (1) Has Intuit made any improvements to this feature (i.e. the problem with bankfeed duplications, etc. since you filmed this video seven months ago? (2) I have construction contractors who then want those vendor bills/receipts job-costed to a client's job to be attached to the customer invoice as backup. Can we do that as well?
I have spent 20+ hours working with QB on this issue. My accounting assistant is unfortunately getting this error. They had me add her as a user with her personal email and it wiped out all receipts she uploaded since we began using the app (four months worth). I recommend putting them on your computer and then uploading to QB. We still have the paper copies but they are no longer attached in QB to the receipt entry.
What a horrible feature compared to scan manager. Who is going to take pictures of invoices to send to file. Used to be send as many pages through the scanner, then attach. Horrible!
The scan feature does NOT exist in qb desk top 2022. It was removed. Horrible decision. I just upgraded yesterday an am absolutly livid! Some lame excuse about internal changes. I suspect they could not come to a roylty agreement with the scan program vendor. Penny wise and pound foolish

Never use a bill to enter CC charges

Thank you for doing desktop version videos
You welcome; i have 100+ videos on Desktop
Has this feature been updated and work better yet? Thanks for your help!
Nope. Same thing
That’s disappointing.
I love that I can attach receipts in QB, but is there a way to also download the receipt if you wanted to file in a job's google drive folder for example?
Yes, in the attachments window you can download it once it has been processed. But you wont be able to go from the qb receipt app to google drive
I love your lessons. Super helpful for my work
Great!

You might need to update your QB to the latest version
Hi Hector. Nice feature. Again not available in the Canadian version. Maybe I should move to Florida ! Thanks for all the great videos. Regards.
Yeah LOL post hurricane, come move here :)

Can it only be use locally without using the cloud/internet? If you used this software on a computer that is not connected to the internet.
No.. it uses the web
I have desktop 2021 but I don`t have that on our program receipt management
is it US version with USD as the only currency?
Us Version California
wow... that's weird then @@charliewilcutt7862

Not sure i follow
Do you have a video for construction contractors as well
Yes.. online or Desktop?
Can you access these receipts should you change your accounting from Quick Books to another program?
They are stored in your computer
I have desktop and did not know I even had this ability. thx
Do you gave 2021 or 2020 with the annual subscription?
Which one you like best? TaxDome or Financial Cents?
I use TaxDome.. never seen Financial Cents
Can this be done by scanning multiple invoices at once ?
Also are there any options for older Desktop versions?
One at the time

Not yet
@@HectorGarciaCPA That's crazy they don't have options to split one receipt into more than 1 expense account!

Sounds about right

Hello Hector, If i buy a computer over $500 for my business how do i categorize this when entering it. What expense should i choose?
Probably office supplies but if that is a test question, the answer is probably “Fixed Assets”
How do I invite them is they are saying their email already used.
Not sure what to do when that happens
