Most of you are missing the point, the other European leagues make certain accommodations when their teams advance to the later stages of these tournaments, the PL does not. That is the only point being made here, it has nothing to do with squad size/depth.
And why should the PL make changes? It’s the main competition teams are taking part in. Playing on weekends generates the match day revenue from where the clubs get paid. No premier league club complains about the money they get as they are able to generate the match day revenue. Meanwhile in the La Liga Barcelona and Real Madrid are complaining that they aren’t getting enough revenue and want to take part in a super league. This is what La Liga gets in return for bending over backwards to the needs of their clubs.

In the 1976/77 season, Liverpool played 67 games. Also bare in mind that back then you could only use 1 substitute, and they weren't playing on pitches as smooth as a bowling green. In 77/78 they played 70, and 65 the following season. Today we're expected to believe that they are playing far too many even with fewer games and 5 substitutes. Liverpool played 67 in 21/22 which saw them play in every single game possible. Not saying it's not likely to be a factor, but it begs the question, why can't they manage now when they could do it back then, and with a tiny squad by comparison

@@slipslider9048 we’ve won the league 13 times, football did not start in 1992/93. Also saying we have history and also that you want to leave the FA Cup at the same time is crazy, the top cup competition which has been running since before the leagues began.
