Planting Chestnut Trees at Patriot's Landing - October 2017

Part of our Habitat Improvement Plan for the farm involves adding different species of Nut and Fruit Trees. This Fall, we planted 11 Hybrid, Blight Resistant, Chestnut Trees from Mossy Oak Nativ Nurseries along the edge of two new food plots.
Planting them with my wife, our oldest son, and our two grandsons, was a fun event for all. The memories made on this day will be recalled when they grow up and hunt close by, and when the tell their children about planting trees with grandpa & grandma.
It warms the heart and will always be a reminder of how blessed we are. Perhaps you'll be inspired to go plant a tree or two with your kids or grandchildren!
