Great Video :D i really liked the battle Part of Andromeda also because it had the peaceful Gene Roddenberry/ Star Trek mission but was still supposed to be a Warship first. Would love to se a remake/ reboot of the show. The Andromeda was majestic and still feels advanced with its nano probes and AI support. Also it combined for me the practicality like ladders with advanced technology i always missed in StarTrek. Also the ship design is almost organic and again still feels advanced even to todays standards. I would love to see a new Glorius Heritage Class rendered with modern CGI. Also the Bridge display's with the schematically breakdowns of the battles is something i really liked and would still be cool even in modern shows and probably way cheaper that to animate all that pew pew boom stuff. Which they still could show just like in Andromeda far less.
I'm not sure if it was the most technologically advanced. In certain areas it was, such as propulsion. Slipstream drive is far in advance of warp drive, akin to the Borg's Transwarp technology, allowing them intergalactic travel. However, I don't think any of the races ships in Andromeda had shields, relying rather on point defense lasers and defensive missles. In all a good series, with a very good storyline. I was a little disapointed with the ending though.
Wasn't a big part of this show the idea that the light had mostly driven back the darkness like the commonwealth and that is 1 of the reasons it conspired to destroy it and the other was that it was pretty much the only organized power that could repel it ?.
are alot of these clips from the later series? because i remember the first few recycled a lot of their space footage and was hard to make out what was going on often! lol
there isn't any .AVI or .MPEG version. there was a similarly bad .mov version on my computer but I deleted it months ago. sorry, but you must settle for this one..
