Hey just wanted to comment as someone with "dissociative personality disorder" or more properly called Dissociative Identity Disorder or D.I.D Though some DID people can be apathetic or less emotions, it's not something associated with DID proper. And the disorder is generally something quite different! As this system would recommend ya to do a bit more research on it all as there's enough misinformation spread around DID, especially because only in recent years systems properly have been able to talk about their experiences rather than singlets (non-systems ; non-DID people) speaking over us
@@Nuxleon hopefully I didn’t offend you. The reason I brought it up was because of the fact that it was the first thing that an internet search brought up when I mentioned her traits. All mental illnesses have a spectrum and everyone experiences the symptoms differently. Is it ok if I pin your comment so that people can see the information you have shared? I do not want to spread false information.

What she wanted is: "If everyone turns into flour there will be no evil, pain or suffering." in other words, if everyone dies we will find Peace. Despite being an extreme solution to everything that makes the world sick, it is still a narcissistic thought, in addition to being something terrible on a scale never seen before. Then the *Resolution* is found... (Dark Cacao Cookie)There is not just one solution for everything in the world, but rather *Resolutions* for each thing in the world. And that's what I believe she fails to understand... She is the definition of "Desperate problems require desperate solutions." *Return the flour...*
I found Mystic Flour Cookie’s whole mindset of apathy to be really interesting and honestly found myself almost falling into her trap. Sometimes with how hard life can get it can be tempting to just wanna escape it all. But the story also highlights why just surrendering to apathy isn’t a good thing either as you can lose your sense of self and the good things in life along with the bad. This was a super interesting story to me and I think Mystic Flour is my favorite beast cookie so far.
You've perfectly summed up why Mystic Flour is my favorite villain in the entire franchise more than I ever did! Waaaaay back when her design was first leak, I had this gut feeling in me that somehow, this cookie would capture my heart in a way I can't describe. It's even crazier that I wasn't much of a villain person when it came to choosing faves, so her being so well-written definitely took the bullet. MF may arguably be the best Beast Cookie for me. Everything from her design to her voice and personality is just... AAAAAAAAAAHHH, mother is mothering ONE HUNDRED PERCENT!! With the lack of analysis videos like these in the CR youtube sphere, I can definitely see a lot of potential in your content. This is just a suggestion of mine and you don't have to necessarily roll it with, but by any chance, would you do White Lily next? She's my absolute precious ball of soggy sunshine and literally everything about her is worth delving into.
@@ElysianArchives I LOVE white lilly cookie and I really want to do her at some point I’ll be making a poll at some point with all of the suggestions I have gotten and will do the one with the most votes
FINALLY A CHARACTER ANALYSIS OF HER OMGG SHE IS MY FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER IM SO HAPPY THANK YOU FOR DOING THIS VIDEO!!! 6:38 Not only that, but her purpose as a goddess is guide cookies to (what she thinks it is) paradise!! She did everything she did because that is her function in Earthbread. Imagine a robot programmed to preserve nature, and as a solution to deforestation, it decides to annihilate all humans. Even though this is a terrible solution, it’s simply the robot’s purpose, and in a way, it is solving the problem and preserving nature. Mystic Flour Cookie follows the same logic; her goal is to guide the cookies to paradise, and as a solution, she decides to “unalive” everyone. 13:05 I think we forget that she is an immortal being; she has a different perspective from ours not only because she has existed since the dawn of Earthbread but also because she cannot understand the concept of death as we do. She thinks that we have an extremely short and painful life, so when Dark Cacao denies her proposal to end our life's suffering through the Pale Ailment, she attributes this to selfishness and ignorance. (There is a channel on Yt called Schnee, he analyzes Arcane's Characters and has a really a good take about trauma and immotality in his video about Heimerdinger, I REALLY recommend watching it!!!) 16:30 Yes, she totally believes she is right and that everyone else is wrong. In one of Cloud Haetae's dialogues in the game, he says that when Mystic Flour confined herself in the cocoon, she only wished for everyone to live free from pain. Perhaps she had good intentions at the beginning, and this desire now reflects in present days 17:00 YOUR VOICE IS AMAZING AND YOUR CHARACTER ANALYSIS IS PERFECT!!!! THANK YOU SM FOR DOING THIS VIDEO AND TALKING ABOUT HOW MUCH OF A GOOD VILLAIN SHE IS IN A FREAKING COOKIE GAME
(If you have not done this one yet) I would like to see you analize Black Pearl Cooke! I like how you researched mental illness that correlate with Mystic Flour Cooke. This was a fun watch! :)
DUDE I WANTED TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS FOR A WHILE. First and foremost, I love what you're saying (and I agree so much about how Mystic Flour is SO messed up to use Dark Cacao's own SON against him. And that actually made me scream and I was expecting her to do something like this, BUT NOT THIS AWFUL. You do NOT just show a vision of a father supposedly DYING and never getting to reconcile to his own kid he wasn't an emotionally present father to and his own son missing him daily--) Mystic Flour is one of my favourite characters and villains in this game and you hit the nail on the head of why I like her so much. Her psychology is so interesting. And this isn't even touching on her ideologies being tied to a religion (Buddhism) in a heavy sense, the ideals of being born and reincarnated is also executed VERY well. I will point out that her inspiration (Guanyin) is not just appearance. Guanyin is a being of mercy, only coming in when others are in desperate need. In stories of Guanyin, others have sought her out and such and it also links to how cookies come to Mystic Flour for wishes. Sorry for the religious ramble but it's a fun context to look at, and I'm born into a Buddhist family. Also, when she was called out, I do see her being defensive but this also means that she KNOWS he's right. She wouldn't be so defensive if he was wrong at all and her pointing fingers out of anger shows that she is aware he's right, but won't change in the slightest. The thing I love the most is she is STUCK in the past, where others hurt her, she looks so much at the bigger picture that she stopped caring. It doesn't mean she's truly apathetic, her lines in arena shows she remembers those who hurt her like it was yesterday. Her narcissistic tendencies and such are from the ones who hurt her and GOD, I love this video and you did such a good job with this. Also, for a suggestion, I would like to see the dynamic for Mystic Flour and Dark Cacao, Golden Cheese and Burning Spice's dynamic (after the next chapter of course) or an analysis of White Lily Cookie!
her beliefs seem to be a form of projecting her pain. she was hurt and now her pain is turned into her uninformed beliefs that are hurting others I dont know about her being a narcissist, someone like shadow milk shows much more obvious signs of being one with the plays, to me it seems like mystic flour is just looking to regain her power by torturing dark cacao. also, her apparent signs of narcissism, and everything else, stem back from her being hurt on a fundamental level that changed her entirely. i dont know if that can cause narcissism, but even after everything, she does seem to be doing everything she does for the better of everyone (as you stated, shes not inherently evil shes just doing the wrong things, i agree with this very much). this doesnt sound like self-centeredness, even if her beliefs are based on a very subjective experience that doesnt define everyone also, the first thing you said, mystic flour being analytical and calculated, youre absolutely correct. she has a plan on how to do what she wants, ascending everyone. shes had however many centuries or millennia to figure out a perfect plan, and she definitely became closed off after her cocoon was opened up so she plans not to fail, no matter what - she doesnt want to be hurt again not all villains are villains because they know that they are one, what makes a villain a villain is their goal, to do something destructive. mystic flour is a tragic villain, she doesnt believe shes one because shes trying to do something she believes is good and right, as you stated. a villain can be oblivious, a villain can be well meaning, a villain can be anything as long as they do consistent bad things with a purpose. with the stuff dark cacao states, i suppose it could also line up. she was hurt and she would probably want to hurt everyone back for it, but shes always seemed like the type to want to still be doing something good. she kept her wise look, with the colour white representing her goodness and purity. maybe she does want to hurt everyone, and is covering it up as a way to ascend, in turn making many go and hurting them, thinking they followed the right cookie. this, actually, would definitely make her a narcissist, as shes not only projecting, shes also taking actions to those projections that are deliberate and specifically to cause pain that is based on her own experiences. the robe thing could also be related to the second fear dark cacao mentions so i could be wrong. i could be wrong on anything. very good video, will be watching more (i love psychoanalyses)
