I was seeing ken since he started demonstrating basic Orion telescopes years ago and he's still there. Although little sad seeing him age a little. But he grew wiser..

can you recommend a decent cam for online live telescope YT podcasts (not perfect photos)?
I'm OK taking pics for up to 15 sec to get some sort of "live" image
I don't think I need to spend a ton of money considering the nature of the views, but I have no idea what my choices are right now

As far as cameras, we don't currently have an imager that specializes in live streaming but if you're looking to just capture video and save it locally to your computer for editing later, our USB Eyepiece might be a good choice: bit.ly/2RyL7Z7

Great info Ken. Would you be able to see any of the objects you've shown visually? I know they wouldn't be like the pictures you shown, but would we be able to see at least a very faint smudge through an 8" DOB?
not sure on ngc 1514(planetary nebule can be pain the eye in real time) but thegalaxys will be a easy spot. you can even see this in 80mm refractor. keep in mind both light from city and bad clods can impact this.
Their customer service is atrocious. Will never do business with them again. Very arrogant employees.
