I've been using the free version for years and the limitations are holding my ideas back. Your info helped me to decide that I am going to go to the Pro version of Canva!!! Thanks Jerry!
This was very helpful! I do everything for my UA-cam channel from shooting videos, to editing videos, to creating all of my assets for it.. from my phone. I’ve been curious about canva, I use the equivalent of it called Over - which is an app on the iPhone. This makes me wonder if I should switch to canva and their app
Spent an hour reading the license agreement, ended up more confused. I want to try Print on Demand business. As for resale, I need extended license but I don't see the option since I'm using Canva pro. Someone help me out here. Does Pro come with extended license for resale?
I know a lot of writers who have this problem. Reading the agreement doesn't tell you if you can actually use a certain image for book covers. Some say the free images are okay to use, but whats the point of pro then? Does anyone know the answer, without pointing us to the licensing link? Does canva pro allow us to use all images for book covers?
We are not going with Canva. Why? Because there are so many better AI based creators out there. Canva was good in it's day but it didn't evolve and now it's just taking up space on our workstations.
I love Canva Pro, Jerry. It is such a useful tool and used it often for my IG, FB, email, etc. Thanks for covering the differences between the two! Cheers.
Having a LOT of difficulty figuring out whether Pro comes with the licensing agreements, or if I still need to acquire licensing. I can't find this anywhere! I've had Pro for a while, and I'm just now venturing out to use it for my business as commercial use. Considering it might take them a minute to get back with me, was hoping you might have the answer. Thanks for your help!
Thank you! Great video!! I upgraded to pro but for some reason the pro images are still coming through with lines through them. Is that because I’m in the free trial period? Thank you!
Many UA-cam videos about that subject on UA-cam. But none of the youtubers actually tell us if we can or not use the icons/font/illustrations legally for POD, they just redirect us to the licence agreement page which I assume we've tried to understand before asking the question... do anyone know about it ? can we use everything and sell on POD with a Pro account ?
Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, Jerry Potter can’t get to all of them, but if you still need an answer feel free to post it in our free Facebook Community: facebook.com/groups/fiveminutesocialmedia/
In the licence agreement it says that All free images can be used for commercial.. So I believe that even if you have Canva Pro then only the free images and graphics can be used for commercial purpose such as pod etc. And it's better to modify them a little I mean like choosing a different color for that free item or something. The main reason that I like Canva Pro is that I can download as a transparent png which is best for POD because if you would download as a jpeg with canva free than you will have to remove the background somehow and as far as I know there is not an app or a website that makes this without losing the original quality (maybe only in photoshop you'll be able to remove the background and keep the same quality). That's just my opinion.
DOn't use a graphic elements "as is".. To legally use elements from your Canva pro, you need to modify and make few tweaks on your design work .. For example, you can smash 5 different graphic elements into 1 design - this make it into your own design work - so this is acceptable.
Does Canva charge the customer an extra fee when they download and use a Canva file that I created in Canva (with a Pro account) when they buy a digital download in Etsy?

So I use Minta I went with them for the videos at first it was great now not so much they just aren't delivering what they promised. 39.00 vs 12.00 is a pretty big jump and a jump I'm thinking of taking MY QUESTION does Canva do Video and auto post What is Canva vs Minta?
Great video thank you. Not just yet but I'll likely go to pro soon. Totally worth it. Was thinking as I watched if it was $20/month tht would be ok, but much it's much better than that. Thanks for the infro. I do websites and Internet marketing and recently learned of the virtual business card utilizing QR code, so Canva pro will work good for me. Very powerful and simple. Thank you.
I don't use templates very often, I usually build from scratch. If you are creating for a 16x9 video (standard widescreen), start with a 1920 x 1080 design and go from there.

The Pro version sounds great for use in creating my video tours but your license agreement is chasing me away from complexity, do you have a lawyer that speaks english? The license agreement is confusing in demonstrating the difference between pro and free. What would be a better explanation would be to just tell me the upsells in the pro version, what cost money?

Is there any knid of work around? My items to list are in the form of a pdf that has a link that opens to a png editable file and takes them to Canva to edit. Excellent video. Very informative. I've always wondered whether it was worth the upgrade. You're a wizard Jerry! Sorry..........
Ha, no worries at all.
Canva just this week announced that their ENTIRE image library is now included as part of Pro as well!
Thank you! Great video!! I upgraded to pro but for some reason the pro images are still coming through with lines through them. Is that because I’m in the free trial period? Thank you!
Hmmmm, possibly. If it doesn't go away definitely reach out to Canva support.
Please tell us, how about prem pictures. Is there a way to get them included or we have to pay for them each time
The graphics and the animation could be way better AND my animations never save as a PGN so I can't use them on my videos which is very annoying
