True, i think so too. His punches were fast and came through. At any second Dustin could have been ko'd. But in the end Dustin was the winnen, he had good strategy and good defence, just both great fighters.
@@keaponlaffin6737 Now that Conor knows Dustin is going for the calf kicks, he needs to ditch his boxing stance and go back to his old karate/taekwondo stance so those calf kicks won’t land and take him out in the trilogy. @@MrOnetedify With the traditonal boxing stance you lean on your front foot to get more power in your punches. With the Karate stance you lean slightly more on your back foot. Makes it easier to pull your front leg kick up to check.
LMAO, his record would prove otherwise. He was a "champ" when the division was full of clowns... He gives up when things get hard. Nate Diaz is a better fighter....
Conor looked like he came for a boxing match. Don’t understand why he’s abandoned the karate stance. Maybe it’s for stamina preservation but he needs to be flowing to be effective
I just think he did it to prove something. He didn’t want to be known as a one-dimensional guy and wanted to prove his right hand, and other things. He was getting too creative. I love Conor, but he sometimes thinks he can do everything, which he can’t. Want his bounce back fight. I was disappointed.
Just delusion really loves his left hand way too much and keeps the Floyd fight in his memory for no reason he should forget boxing and focus on mma only but meh Dustin is just a better fighter and it showed
Really? He fought Dustin because he thought he was a soft touch, and that's the only reason. Your man got blasted taking what he thought was an easy fight.
I am mind blown they didn't expect calf kicks. Dustin's team practically said there gameplan (kicks/clinches).. Disappointing especially because his endurance looked improved.
Conor never really had to fight calf kickers when he fought orthodox stance fighters. But when he fights another southpaw stance fighter that calf kick becomes really problem as they can now use stronger leg on lateral calf where the peroneal nerve are. Conor's leg was completely toasted in second round.
What endurance he fought 1 round and didnt Connor say he was in his best ever shape, just sounding like bum ass losers making excuses for him again 😂😟😂
You cant expect mcgregor to win every fight Ali lost to a guy with only 8 fights. Mcgregor needs to be active Period great fight to dustin and i think conor heavy boxing style now affected he footwork. Made his legs heavy
Fair play to Conor. He needs to go back to what brought him to the dance. Unorthodox movement, bouncing back and forth and not being the aggressor but countering. His MMA style isn't boxing its boxing/karate or taekwondo and I feel time in the octagon will bring that back
there just isn't a big reward for him to be as hungry as he used to be; he literally fought for us(fans) tonight; where as before the rewards were Aldo's & Alvarez's belt
I think that old bouncy Conor with springs for feet is gone.. too much time off too much training boxing and not MMA. Conor used to always say his opponents are to flat footed now he’s the flat footed one shame
Looked helpless in there when even Dustin admitted Conor hurt him in the first round?😂 Conor let too many calf kicks connect and that was his downfall. He was stronger in the clinch connecting with the better shots in the first round but just wasn’t checking them kicks. Fair play to Dustin though came in with a plan and worked for him brilliantly
It is indeed. He just went into the fight without a flame. He shot precise and handled the bout calmly, he did not deliver/fight with the fuel he usually sparks.
Everybody makes fun of Conor for saying his foot/leg was like a balloon/football but I don’t think these were excuses just descriptive ways he talks about his injuries 🤣

Even with the boxing stance, in the 1st rd conor outstruck and wobbled dustin twice but eventually the toll of the calf kicks caught up.

I am mind blown they didn't expect calf kicks. Dustin's team practically said there gameplan (kicks/clinches).. Disappointing especially because his endurance looked improved.
You would've thought that his corner would've told him to check those kicks better after the first round
