I love this mask. One thing I've learned over the many many years of being a horror fanatic, collector, and creator is any Jason mask is a cool Jason mask. I have so many of them,some purchased some I created myself and I love them all. I think most real horror fans would be stoked to own this one.One thing about the color of this mask because I own it myself is, yes it looks very banana in person but I noticed on this video that it looks a lot better on camera. If someone wanted to they could always stain or repaint the mask it's not hard. Also the side stripes are backwards.

You can probably find a better replica on eBay for around the same price, however they don’t really have the collectibility of NECA

@@alfiemitchell3026 you can make your own with a 5 dollar plastic mask. Check out big hush videos on here for ideas. I made one myself and came out way better than necas. You can make them screen accurate if you have the paint skills

Props to neca on those straps though, most other replica masks use fairly cheap elastic straps - so for a company that mass produces an item such a high quality strap is a good move!

Just purchased this the other day. As soon as I picked it up I seen some differences. But it's not that disappointing plus I support Neca so Im satisfied. But I did hear they break easily so in stuck on rather I should unbox or not

I got this for my 7 year old who randomly became obsessed with Friday the 13th this year. I think Neca made an updated one now, we haven’t opened it yet but I know the paint job is much better.
He hasn’t watched the movies btw just knows Jason via youtube videos lol

I got one a while back it looks worlds different from yours but after since then I've picked up a few JDF studio's masks the problem with the neca masks is that they are more display than a wearable mask so inaccurate aside its small heavy and brittle don't drop it or it might shatter the JDF mask kits are very nice prices as well but you paint it yourself I'd like to see spot do one its fun

Personally, I don’t like NECA masks, the paint doesn’t look like wear and tear, it just looks ugly, if you’re gonna collect masks I’d recommend 13x Studios on Etsy or on their website 13x Studios.com I believe. Also the holes on the mask look uneven by the top chevron. NECA does it sloppy and inaccurate, if you want movie accurate masks, check out 13x Studios, they are pretty cheap too, got mine for $38.

I just looked at this mask yesterday at FYE, and it most certainly IS NOT anywhere near as long as the real one. Given that my head is around 10 1/2 to 11" long, this probably wouldn't be large enough to serve as a mask for me.
I'm not saying it's horrible and people shouldn't buy it, but know what it is, and know that if you have a Fiberglass Masks, Crash Creations, Crazydog500, Elmo's Cave, Creepy Kentuckian, Auzorann, or even Jason Creation Station mask, it won't come close to that sort of accuracy.
But honestly, if you're going to specifically make an officially licensed 1:1 mask, why would it not be the right size and shape? Why did they make this mask instead of the actual mask in terms of the actual proportions and shape?
I mean if you and someone else were going to take a fedora and weather it to look like Freddy Krueger's, regardless of how much or how little effort you put into the weathering, if the other guy was in charge of bringing the fedora, and he walked in with one of those tiny ones with a quarter-inch brim, you'd tell him he got the wrong hat. You wouldn't begin with the wrong base if the point was to make a replica of something that ACTUALLY EXISTS, and has ACTUALLY ESTABLISHED SIZE AND PROPORTIONS.

While I'm not a fan of the resin they used, or the paint detail, this mask is absolutely a 1:1 scale replica. I have quite a few Jason hocks, only one from NECA, and it's not smaller than the others. Not even a little bit.

It may be difficult to accept given what I expressed in my previous comments, but I absolutely do not want to cause anyone to feel dejected about this mask being the one that they have and that they like. There's a case that still makes me tremendously sad from around fifteen years ago on a message board in which someone, probably fairly young, was beaming about his or her new console that he or she was so glad to have gotten, and liked so much, and then these cruel fucking asshole bastards just ripped into he or she about the console being outdated, etc., and needless to say, I do not in any way want my comments about this mask to make anyone feel the way that person must have.
There's nothing wrong with the mask. It may be based on what people have in their minds as what a Jason Voorhees hockey mask looks like from the endless pop culture references to it, so maybe that explains the shape of it. Maybe it combines features from the masks throughout the series.
If my comments did cause any such shitty feelings for anyone, then I am as sorry as I can be.

Don't worry I don't think anyone took your comments in a cruel way, The NECA masks are perfectly fine for any Friday the 13th fan out there, sure there's always going to be replicas with more exact detail to scenes in the movies and those appeal to the collectors that want exactly the same thing, NECA here gave collectors a mask that represents Jason and his mask, its not perfect but its also an affordable means to get something in their collection that speaks to them as fans of the franchise, anyone who would go out of their way to bash someone who can't afford the higher end pieces by saying oh well you're no a true fan then, well they're just jerks that need to be important on the internet, believe me your comments weren't that

Forget going in goals for hockey with this on. lol 😀 Paid £30 for a neca Jason masks in 2007 and it fell from its display and shattered, I'm not taking the chance again with another neca Jason mask.

George Thomson I won't take any chance with props made by NECA whether it's Jason mask or Freddy glove, except action figures. I can make Jason mask and Freddy glove and i also collecting gloves from another glove makers as well. so I don't need those mass produced item. Handmade is the way to go
