Theory is the Altamira of science, despite all good testing of theory we have not facts, but only really well-tested theories that behave as if these were facts.
Therefore every medication therapy or vaccination plan is based on a hopeful theory but one based on some good testing of observable outcomes. And yes, be certain that every medication disrupts the usual functioning of the body, because these cannot produce the result with out the process.

The same strategies used to determine Paternity Show very clearly that we share a common ancestor with every life form on Earth. The only way things like retroviruses that were installed millions of years ago in a germ line cell of our shared ancestor with chimpanzees would appear both in our genetic tree and in their genetic tree Is through familial relation.
Where the endogenous retrovirus inserted itself would be a completely random thing. We know this because a lot of our genes were the result of inclusions of retroviruses deep in the evolutionary past.
Mammals for instance would not exist without a specific set of proteins coded by the remnants of a long ago inserted retrovirus.
So what did Bret say about the COVID vaccines?

Encourages the debate. science is scientific debate continuously. if dissent is blocked, and gatekeeper FDA / pfizers bitch pushed it right through, and had 2 senior scientists resigned in protest. FDA is corrupt beyond any agency, so that is not a great sign. we are being experimented on.

I don’t think my dad considered himself a great teacher when he brought those lawn mowers home from the dump. His instructions to me were to get them running, then mow the grass. The 5-6 minutes discussion here, starting about 39 minutes, just bowled me over when Bret confirms “you can’t fool an engine into starting”. Words I live by! I’ve never felt so vindicated by anyone I admire so much. Mowing grass with lawnmowers from the dump is actually 3 separate lessons if you think about it. All have served me well. Thanks Dad for the tool kit!

They are remarkable people even if I may differ from them in some opinions of economics and politics, theories of evolution in absolutely everything… importantly they meant to act always in good faith.

Our faith is in our evolved intelligence & biology. Intelligent us has made possible, globalization of our instincts. Science tells us of "Flow, mob mentality", & entrainment. These mental states represent a miraculous ability state, of our brains. Bonded rhythmically, we become entangled in the joy of making music & will instigate necessary miraculous evolution. Perhaps "Mother Nature", seeing a planet full of joyous, music creating people,will Be the tipping point of unity, that manifests our salvation! These are Groovism beliefs.

With all of this said , this seems to work with people open to discussion and understanding. What We seem to be experiencing is people who have no desire to listen, debate or converse. @Jason Johnson One of my friend that is one of these kind of people blame it on religious fate, looking deeper i came to the conclusionnits not about religion, but fate, believing that politicians, scientists relions and people of power in general is using theyr knowledge to do good while instead this people of power just follow theyr own evil agenda. Its very hard to set aside from it.
People have been meddled with through media programming and a corrupt educational system. They don't know why they "know" what they think they know. They are going along with consensus. One of the best things I ever did for myself was to stop watching tell-a-vision.

Learning how to fall at a very early age, @ 8 years old, has saved me countless times in my life. My dad enrolled my oldest brother and I in a Judo class. I never pursued that form of competition, but the lifelong benefit has been major in my life. It's so automatic, it's kept me alive through falling off a cliff, when I was a teenager, to surviving a motorcycle accident at age 67. Learning how to fall, is something I rarely hear discussed, yet is one of the few bits of education that has kept me living for so long!
For a semester I took Aikido. Sensei said, "even if unconscious, body will remember how to fall." Guess I better practice my backward and forward rolls.
Its called roll w/ the punches....
Why learn how to fall when you can deny the existence of gravity? so much easier!
At 86 I can agree. I have fallen badly more than several times leading to wrist, shoulder and knee injuries. Thankfully, my head is still ok!

Heather's voice is so smooth and soothing that it's almost distracting. I find myself listening to her voice and not her words. I have to try hard to pay attention to what she is saying. This is just an observation, not an insult.

My dad broke his arm roller blading. The doctor said he had to leave the cast on for six weeks and then come back and have it assessed to see if it was ok to take the cast off. My dad wore the cast for less than a week. He took it off and just worked his arm slowly and carefully until it healed. In two weeks it was like it was never broken.
The medical business is a joke at best, and completely corrupt and destructive at worst. It's not designed to keep people healthy, it's designed to keep people dependent on it.

I worked carpentry for 2 years with a broken bone in my wrist. Painful AF.
Docs couldn't find it in the xrays and after MANY MANY visits sent me to a young specialist who found it IMMEDIATELY & had me fixed in weeks.
Swelling was holding the bone together so it wasn't obvious.
I agree that around minute 21:00, they start by talking about language and learning each other's precise language and implied or concrete definitions. I've found that THIS key concept has been a problem in my own life. This is how it has played out. I've pushed myself to become as epistemologically informed as I can on a few key areas that I see as crucial for creating a fair and sustainable life for ALL of humanity. It is because I've have many of my own setbacks that were not my fault.
But... my ex-wife and my entire adult family, I believe have NOT had much reason to "DIG" into details of human systems. So, they still think that the wonderful people on "TV" tell the truth and tell it like "it is". So, despite my utmost efforts, I simply have not been able to "awaken" adults around me, in my life. I've tried mostly logic, so far. But, it just isn't very effective for people that can't see very far outside of their immediate areas of life. And if their lives seem to be basically fine, they DENY any systemic problems.

Delightful because I feel very validated (as someone a bit crazy about language and good communication) when I hear other people spend mental effort to get to the root of communication problems in such a detailed manner. In Jiu Jitsu they teach you how to break fall. It's a valuable life skill. I learned it skiing as a kid.

I treated my children as cognitively capable of understanding most things as long as I communicated with them within the extent of their experience. I also held conversations with them slightly above their level in order to stretch that understanding.
I also taught my children how to fall, to be aware, to defend and the tools to stay fit. Now I have three wonderful adulting parents who do well in their chosen vocations. Two were military, and proudly informed me that boot camp was one of the easiest things they'd ever done.

Heather's discussion of managing risk and children, was a relief for me to hear. My daughter is parenting in the manner that is over emphasizing safety. This has been really frustrating for me because I parented in a way that encouraged them to exercise their judgement and to be comfortable in their own bodies. I was not the mom that over bundled their kid to the point the child looks like an over stuffed saussage! After hearing Heather's viewpoint I think I'll feel more comfortable telling my daughter that it's okay to let her daughter explore a little, whether that is on a playground or a library or a tree. I can't wait now to get the book! Thank You!.
Oh... I have one question, in American Indian Studies many scholars assert that American Indians came over in three waves, contingent upon the conditions of the ice-ages. The first being approximately 40,000 and the last about 10,000 years ago. There is an incredible amount of correlations between the Navajo and Tibetans. I don't know enough about evolutionary anthropology to account for this evolutionarily. My focus was from a socio-cultural anthropological perspective. Can you recommend any books on these subjects.
Look up Dennis Stanford and his Solutrean hypothesis. There were 2 entrances to North America during the last glacial advance. The Clovis technology was Solutrean in design and has never been found in the Orient. They used antler bone tools.
@darkmaitri - I agree with your style of parenting. I think that sometimes the best way to teach someone something, particularly children, is to let them have their way. Of course, not if what they want to do will kill them, but in choosing which battles to fight and allowing for natural consequences. For instance, when my daughter was four years old she wanted to go out to play in our front yard while it was snowing. I suggested she put on a coat and mittens. I told her she'd be more comfortable and able to stay out longer. She ended up not listening to me and going outside with no coat (I knew it wouldn't kill her) but returned within five minutes for her parka and gloves. She learned that my advice was wise but felt the decision was hers by experiencing the natural consequences of her own actions. By the way, I never said, "I toldya so" - not necessary. I also cringe when I hear parents saying "Be careful!" constantly. I think it can cause kids to internalize that their parents have little to no confidence in them.
As a clinical.psychologist I see increasing cases of anxiety in young adults and in teens from exactly this..parents who have increasingly taught the world is a dangerous place, retreat from it, protect yourself from it instead of reach out for new experiences, open your mind open your life. I follow Heather & Bret's podcast and just received my preordered copy of their "A Hunter Gather,s Guide to the 21st Century" two days ago. Listening to them, and reading their book leaves me feeling that there may be hope for mankind after all! That said I found Heather's explanation of Chesterton's "first tell me what the fence's function is." fascinating. And I can't help but recognize that my generation's (Baby Boomer 1960s) most costly error was in destroying fences without first asking why they were there. Part of the reason for this is that many of the social mores we were supposed to adhere to were based upon "Because I said so!" responses from parents and others rather than an explanation for why the fence was there. Whatever the cause it now appears that many of those fences should have been left in place, or at least fully understood before being torn down.
These people are pure evil, selling the same sh*t as the WEF and NWO Bill Gates & Soros tyrants. We need depopulation, the world is coming apart, socialism for all.
Maybe, Congress and the FCC should've controlled, Regulated and Reformed* more of the pathetic Low-end, Violent crime and Sxual content type Programming (always deteriorating) + more on Home TVs, over the Decades... and even more so at the Theaters and the x-$$$Trillion, 50 Year, Home Vid. I previously appreciated the value of the Mayan public works, to take their example, as a triumphant thing which the population can be proud of, co-operate in the evolution of and generally have their lives enhanced by, but it hadn't struck me that they also function as a tamper, as Bret put it, aka a buffer zone of societal capability which insulates the population against otherwise potentially disastrous shortfalls in production of food and other necessities. Yes, that's the direction we should be going in.
It reminds me of the way in which 50 years ago, in the traditional family arrangement, the husband worked and could support the family on that income while the wife took care of the children, maintained a home, managed the nutrition for the family, and generally made the husband's life outside work worth living.
This acted as a buffer zone too, if the husband fell ill or the income he generated fell or he lost his job, the wife could take on work to fill the gap and top up the family income, she was the emergency resource that could be deployed in hard times.
When it became necessary for two parents to work to support a household, that buffer zone disappeared, so that the 'normal' family was now one disaster away from penury.
While I'm totally up for the rights of women to pursue their ambitions and all that, whether the man or woman does the bulk of the earning, the fact remains that a family continuously running at 100% of it's earning capacity out of sheer necessity leaves it existing in a constantly precarious position.
Similarly, now businesses can take out loans to buy, a new premises, say, and expand the business in a flash, they put themselves in the same position. When you consider that the vast majority of people operate with this model nowadays, and add in the ease of getting credit on things you can't afford, this creates a society peopled by folk constantly standing on a cliff-edge, with all the resulting stress, crime and other ill effects that go with that.
A retailer who starts with a small shop, gradually expands into 2 shops after a few years, then a few years later buys a third though re-investing profits has an inbuilt stability. If business drops, they sell off the third shop and survive happily with 2, maybe even fall back to 1, but it's a gradual decline and can be managed and planned for.
A retailer that raises millions from venture capital and opens 20 shops within a year, not an uncommon occurrence, has no such stability. It's entirely common to hear of a business failing and all 37 outlets closing tomorrow.
The availability of consumer and business loans should be phased out entirely, the people that really benefit from this system are the rich folk who lend the money out (aka the banks that invent the fiat currency that gets created by the lending process), not the people who borrow it, they're doing that to compete with others whether in business or just personal one-upmanship, and if the others borrow, then they must follow suit in order to keep up.
Make usury illegal, society in general will benefit greatly from it.
In general, we need lots of small businesses, not a few massive ones.

I think Howard Hughes was. In his way. Even after the head injuries. A lot of them seem huge risk takers too. Over time many have lost their fortune/s.
The way he describes language and how it takes so much time just to begin to understand the paradigm that your talking partner is even coming from... I did exactly what he's saying..where I got creative and redefined words to be more clear about my words, and the part where 2 people sit down and actually co-create something between them.. that's not happening. At least it's not just me!
I've tried to tease a lot of disagreements apart in my life because I have so many problems with people in dialogue. And ultimately it usually is down to the meaning of certain words. It takes so much time to figure this out by the time this conclusion is reached we're both exhausted and are done with putting energy into that conversation whatever it was
I have long thought that we are circling the drain culturally, politically, and economically. Many of us have little if any capacity for even simple critical reasoning. Many of us appear to prefer being told what to think, and even how to feel.

Snapped my radius, the ER doc tractioned my arm by letting it hang by my fingers, then reset the bone. Though I was prepped for surgery, he sent me home because the surgeon was having dinner and couldn't be bothered. My fingers were working normally so I didn't go back to have pins placed. A few weeks later I went in for a consult. The surgeon chastised me then soon agreed he'd have made the same choice for himself. I saved thousands and had fast and strong bone recovery. I guess I learned early to recognize incentives and follow the money when assessing situations and never assume those in authority have my best interests as their priority.

Apparently omitted from the discussion of arguments, positions, and "sides" is the fundamental distinction of personal outlook -- yes, change is necessary, but is it I or others who must adapt? So much depends on an honest assessment of this initial impetus. If my inclinations are to find ways to engineer social groups and individuals, one type of result is possible. But if I'm convinced of the need to change myself -- and inevitably see the need of help from others who are like-minded -- another kind of progress comes into view. Whether or not we ought to be optimistic about the future depends directly on the genesis of our individual motivations.

What has happened for me, is that what started out as a tool for information, has progressed into some of you with the most clear ability to communicate and instruct and argue and to carry on a dialogue over many controversies, that for the most part, politicians, media, even the educational system, are no longer able to convey because of their politics, financial, or other reason prohibiting them from seeking and discussion of truths. For this reason only, do I return to You Tube, and lacking that reason, would I never return to You Tube. Bret, Heather, yourself, I thank you fir your videos.

Thank you for this amazing conversation, i love the part on cocooning our children, i call the opposite of that helping our children build their relational immune system. If we always bulldoze away the risk and the obstacles and the true consequences of their behaviors we are making them weak and sick emotionally but also relationally. I think a big part of the cancel culture phenomena is this inability to withstand conflict, healthy strife and other people in their innate differences and the discomfort of that.

I've been a huge fan of both Tom and BlackHorse, THIS EPISODE IS THUS FAR MY FAVORITE from either. You have articulated sooooo well, in a few short minutes (🤗) so many intimidating and broad-based critical topics of today which are timeless in nature. You helped articulate what I needed for so many aspects I've been trying to find the words for (I may have a tendency to jump a few steps to the very complex conclusion without such detail...from time to time).
One really important thing this episode is perfect for is introducing people who are of the "fixed v@×× mindset" to think about the narratives they've been hearing. it's a gentle, nondirect way of saying "does what you're hearing match what you would expect in order to justify what you're being told to do?" are "they" showing the WHY for what they're telling you works... or is there something to make you at least pause?"

I really enjoy listening to Bret & Heather's podcasts, That said I always find myself kinda laughing to myself every time I listen to them because I can't help but think of the SNL spoof skits of NPR radio, I think their demeanor, tone, and cadence is similar, so I sit there listening to them, but in the back of my head I am replaying things like Scheaty Ball skits.
the concepts of carrying capacity and sustained yield have been discussed and described by ecologists foresters and conservationists for many many years yet the unlimited desires of so many people who are clueless about those ideas continue to drive the train over the cliff...

I love these 2 but I’m not that alarmist. There’s a ton of open space in the USA and we hardly are using de-salinización for our drinking water.
Desalinization is cost prohibitive. Space is not necessarily the limiting factor here, it’s arable farmland, energy, and rare minerals for electronics and such
As a person who lives in a region where there is an abundance of fresh water, miles and miles of productive farmland which is generally underutilized, and tends to suffer from a loss of population to warmer states, I agree. Anyone who thinks the USA, or North America in general, is overpopulated, is likely looking at this from the viewpoint of a large city dweller.

Re Rite of Passage. Never forgot Sobonfu Somé at Masterpeace conference (Stanford campus, 2001) when a young man asked her, what would you say to young people in our Culture that we don't have rites of passage. She said, ahh, but you DO have rites of passage; you can't be human and not have rites of passage. Just that in your Culture you take yourselves through rites of passage.. and when there's no formal acknowledgment that you just came through something big and transformative the danger is that, over time, YOU start to undermine and diminish the significance of what you went through, start to discount something that was deeply meaningful.
