What a simple but wonderful video. This is a great tip. Subtle but powerful. There are so many pearls that I still have not mastered in TK panels.

You're a very clever man Mr Kuyper. I recently got my head around masks and layers and can now see a whole new world of possibilities ahead. Thank you for your dedication to this cause :)

Thank you Tony. Another great technique and action. It is so subtle and versatile. Great for printing deeper colours and yet avoiding oversaturation. Very well presented and illustrated!

I am continually surprised at how many goodies are buried in the TK panel. Thanks for the excellent tutorial on how to use this one! After several years of using the panel, I find myself using it for about 80% of my photoshop actions and adjustments.

super effect ! i am discovering all buttons of the panel at same time :-) I would be interested to see make it glow on a black and white image with glo on highlights but also some glow on shadows. I have seen that in some tutorials from Jim Welninski. results are gorgeous.

Tony, excellent information. Like others have said the TKActions are amazing. I use them almost exclusively for processing images. Please consider creating a video on using TKA to selectively apply noise reduction like for astronomy. I have been experimenting with this and have had some success when combining with the NIK Noise Reduction. I run NIK then using the color picker select only the dark pixels and then apply it to my NIK layer. I have also done this using a darks mask and then applying it to NIK as a mask. It appears to work. I have also tried it using Topaz noise reduction. This can also work when shooting wildlife in low lighting and you are forced to use a higher ISO (more noise) to maintain a specific shutter speed. If you have already covered this subject please direct me to it. Thanks, Tony

      John--I have a blog on this: tonykuyper.wordpress.com/2018/10/30/tk-actions-quick-tip-developing-a-quality-night-sky/
Basically, it's just going over Sean's video on this subject: ua-cam.com/video/ARlwXNeXxbg/v-deo.html
There might be some tips in there on noise reduction that you can apply with your NIK masks.

Great info. Glad it doesn't make a difference when you use this technique. Lots to experiment with. Thanks for sharing.

Using TK8, Make it Glow does not bring up the blur dialog or affect the image in any way. It just adds a layer.

Donald--This is discussed in this blog post: tonykuyper.wordpress.com/2021/05/19/photoshop-v-22-4-0-how-it-affects-the-tk-panel/. I updated TK8-beta to fix this problem and you can use your download link to get the latest version. Running the installer installs new modules where this and other problems are corrected. Or contact me if you need help finding your download link.
