    Thankyou verymuch Sir for very informative videos. Sir in this video you mentioned that hydraulic jack piston would slip out once we cross above Max. Lift.
    But in MAN main engine jacks, if the max.lift is exceeded, there is an oil passage cut through the piston bottom which will be uncovered and pressure chamber oil will be relieved into the space between the stud and the spacer ring.
    And if this happens, lowermost seal ring will in most cases be damaged, so have to replace it.

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  3 роки тому

      Great observation. I might have frozen in Timewrap , basing on my observation many years ago when I was working on these. Anyway,the learning remains that the Jack shud be compressed before a new operation, to prevent a disruption to the work and damage to seal etc.

Do not shut the pressure release valve very tight an damage.Purge the oil hoses completely before you connect top hyd tool. Release pressure gradually when done with

    This video is very helpful sir. Thanks to you. But still I have one doubt, while pulling up the bolt by hydraulic jack will the threads also got elongated and will their pitch be increased during that time.

    • @rmetcvideos
      @rmetcvideos  3 роки тому +1

      that part of the stud after the cylhead to the point of hyd jack nut will elongate .if there are any threads in this part..they will elongate slightly
