THEY ARE LIARS!! Black mountain is STILL one of the best Pisgah laps

- A few years ago, black mountain trail in Pisgah got a re-work, and some people have complained that they miss the old black mountain... but to me, I still think that this is one of the premium trail options in Pisgah boasting a wide variety of flow, tech, and fun all the way down with a very worthy add on for more of everything if you continue onto Sycamore.

I'm writing this comment from WHISTLER, and I am SO EXCITED to share the next bunch of videos with you guys... stay tuned!!! 😃🤘
Almost pulled the trigger on the Whistler trip. I'll be heading to the Yukon in a bit to ride with Matt @ Wandering Wheels and another great You Tube fellow you may know 🤘😎 Perhaps we'll ride together someday. Love the content! Might be worth a tick check after that sycamore run👌LFRHGS ! 🍻⛰️🚴♂️
Sick.. group of us will be at Whistler the first week of July. Stoked for the upcoming trip
SICK!
@@cranksnplanks Keep an eye out bro, we'll likely do this trip again next year if there is enough interest by the end of the series!
Did you drive to B.C.?
Got out for a ride today! Was well worth it when I became a disney princess and a baby fawn came right up to me.
Hey it was great meeting you at the top of the trail! Thanks for the advice to go up upper Black. Cheers! (from the guy in the green shirt)
Dude hit ALL of Chestnut and asked for some Middle/Lower Black dessert? That first part is an all day (with breaks) affair for me. Andrew is a certified Beast!
Love that place. Was just ridding those trails this AM. Camped across the street at Davidson River. What a weekend.
Those canopy tunnels at speed on Sycamore are badass.
Thanks for being awesome and sharing your rides. They always pick me up when I can't go ride and motivate me when I can.
Had my first OTB experience on that trail in early 2000’s! Brings back some memories. So, now fancy bridges over what was some techy creek crossings.
Totally agree with the video title. They massively improved Black Mountain trail, they didn’t ruin it in the least
Alex, I met you in April 2023 at the Hub after having just done Buckwheat, Bennett and then this exact Black/Sycamore combo - awesome to remember why I was in such a good mood that day!
i rode middle and lower black mountain a couple weeks ago, and it was SOOOO good.
Colorado is great and I don't miss humidity, but damn do I miss not being so far away from Pisgah.
First time back to the channel for a bit, love the new camera angle, the FOV is great really captures the whole environment of the trail
Yooo thanks dude, I dig it as well!! Welcome back!
Crazy you recorded the entire downhill on the ride, and all that downhill is less than 20 min. I know that climb to middle is a grind for much longer.20 min. Of sweet downhill is awesome! Cant wait to get back out there!
Great vid! Talked to ya about a year and a half ago a Kanuga and you recommended Black, we went all the way to upper and it was awesome (although that climb kicked my Florida ass). I'm headed back and may ride it again this weekend! oh and by the way... Looks like you are about to hit 600k , congrats!!!
Man, that was a sweet ride! I forgot how lush the North Carolina forests are! I'm definitely gonna put Pisgah on my gotta go-to list! Thanks for the video!!
The colors look great on this camera. The greens are nice and green.
The OG part of Middle Black likes to steal water bottles from my hardtail🥲
As always another video full of stokeness. Enjoy everyone you put out 🤙🏼🤟🏼
Black is a must every time I’m in Brevard!
great video
I live close enough to pisgah that I can ride there from home pretty easily
Was a great trail, riding there July 23 from UK, because of your vids... Climb to upper was a killer, but upper & lower are the best bits imo. Sycamore was cool too. Trace Ridge tho was most fun trail ever... Such fast chunk... Stoke was out this world!
ironically my first mtb trip to pisgah my cousin took me to black mtn, full pull. and iv planned to hit sycamore on my next trip in the area. needed this video for intel hahaha 👍🤙🤘✊️
Freaking awesome ride!
Last time I was there I climbed up to lower black and sycamore both it was freaking awesome
great way to spend (view) a sitback sunday aftanoon
New subscriber here! I found your channel because i live close to Pisgah Forest and was looking at vids. Ironically my wife is Peruvian so your recent trip there was especially intriguing!
I am also just beginning to get into mountain biking and love it so far! Ive currently got a Kent Mountain bike from walmart and following the idea to (grab a bike and get out and ride!) However I dont know much about mountain biking and would like to upgrade to something a little better. I really dont have a big budget (like at all😅) but was wondering what type of bike you or anyone reading this comment would recommend? Thanks!
Love your videos so far by the way!
Come ride Bacon Ridge near Annapolis while in you're DC!
hey, im doing well coming from 9th place at Rock Creek go nuts enduro
Sweet trail! About how long is that trail?
Video looks really good. I’m curious have you tweaked the settings since your first video using it. Looks better but maybe it’s just because of the different lighting.
Looks fricken awesome. How long did the climb take you versus the decent?
Great share again, BTW, your link for the microphone you're using isn't working, shows a missing page on Amazon. Also, what camera are you using? Action 4 ?
please go to blankets creek in georgia 🙏🙏🙏 it's my home trails and would love to see you experience it
We road lower black and I recorded it on my channel on Easter. Upper Black is pretty well ridden. How would you rate the climb between Lower and Middle Black? I hike and bikes thrift cove a good portion of the way.
Stop in Cache Creek, hmu, u gotta see some fun stuff
Hey Alex, don’t you have a better bike you can use there to help with all that pump of that section? Looking forward for the videos from BC. 🤙
Going to ride black mountain for the first time next weekend. Just wondering how the climb is. Should I start at the ranger station?
Dooooode..... I think you could treat the turn at 7:33 like a quarter pipe 180*. Straight at it, then a little lift and turn. That would be bitchin. Glad to see you getting shreddy this summer.
Fern surfing mock chicken style!!!!!
"Fern Surfin" That would make a good STS t-shirt. Hello Cognitive...
My only real issue with this camera is everything looks too dark
Pretty accurate view of that trail though. Even in full midday summer sun its DARK under that canopy.
That initial ride down the asphalt road is my least favorite part of that loop! Black mountain rocks!
could always park at the horse stables and do that part at the very end... though I feel like it's way worse if it is at the end lol
@@The_Sampler Me too dude. I like to get it out of the way early!
Does anyone else just hit the like button before watching the video because you know you will?
I am editing a video today
What’s the adress to this place??
I’ve never experienced arm pump. Arthritis….sure.
Random bike 20:44
Duh
I still need to check out the re-route! Still looks fun!
