That's incorrect. Female Seekers of the Sun are still usually leaders of a tribe (source: official naming conventions and a quote made by M'rahz Nunh, one of the few Nunh that are also a so-called "alpha"), and even after becoming Nunh, said Nunh still has to actively work hard to keep his women entertained and ready to lay down with him (source: quotes made by female Seekers of the Sun in the Sagolii and, once again, M'rahz Nunh). This race is simply generally ruled by women, although Square Enix is partially at fault for this common misconception as both of the tribes with which you can interact ingame are ruled by a Nunh instead of something else (even though M'rahz makes an effort to mention how irregular this is).
Tbh, the main reason I chose miqo'te is because I liked how they looked. I chose the masculine miqo'te model and have 0 regrets. I have tried the other races (mostly viera and aura) but eh, I always return to cat. I just sorta like em' and how they sit or wiggle their ears or that running animation. Oh, especially how expressive their tail is! As an artist I love showing those tail expressions. I chose a voice for my catboy that makes his laugh sound almost feral

When I first made a character about a year and a half/2 years ago, I went with male catboi, shortest height, fluffy tail, etc and thought "...was making this as a joke and planned to go Hyur or Elezen but holy shit, no... this is perfection!" Logged in, ended up joining an FC 20min later, one asked me to /joy when I visited FC house an hr after that and when I saw the ear wiggle? Yep, sold. Still a male miqo'te. Zero plans on changing from it as ear wiggles are my life now. Also, the FC has dubbed me the FC's house cat (i catboi crouch sit on shelves/tables and have been given a tree house outside of FC house... i've accepted my place in the FC and embraced it). Life is good XD

Lana Cakes original adventure plate has been a running meme in my group since we first saw her on our server. Anytime we see her we talk about it, so seeing her in this video absolutely shocked me and caused me to yell it out to everyone in my discord.

I feel called out. When I started the game back when ARR released, I made a catgirl because catgirls = cute. However, after I encountered tons of catgirls, like, you couldn't go anywhere and see no catgirls. I hated it. So I fanta'd into a femroe and stayed as such since. Never touched a fanta again. She is perfect.
I remember a time back in Heavensward when I was 1 of 15 or so female highlanders on my server. There were actually more fem roes than us. Then Stormblood came out, and more thighlanders appeared. I was all for it as I think thighlanders have some of the cutest animations in the game, but it did make me strive to stand out more.
Started playing this game like, Half a year ago now. And one thing i enjoy about MMOs is all the races i can look through and pick. I gave everyone a fair shot, And it was between A female miqote, A Male miqote, Or a cute bunny boy. I ultimately went with the female miqo'te, And after about 1-2 hours in the character creator. Eirlys evergarden was born. It wasn't till after a realm reborn the person that was walking me throughout the game told me that i picked the most common race in the game. And I'll admit that still doesn't bother me too much, I think i made an exceptionally cute and badass Miqo'te. Side note, I cant wait for the graphics update, She looks even better!

I picked it because I’m insanely neurodivergent and a flashy character reflects my personality best. They can wear helmets, they have nicely defined emotes and have better models than highlanders. They don’t wear perma high heals, are average pleasant size and don’t look alien while having some exotic features. They are simply one of the best modeled and animated race with a ton of advantages and a wide variety of customizations afterwards. That’s the reason people often pick it as a main. Relatable and flexible.

Female Miqo'te here. I style my cat in mostly grunge/emo aesthetics, and most of her glamours have barely any skin showing. I just picked a race that I think represented me the most: Lazy, Playful, and Stupid. It helps that they're adorable too. My main character did start as a male Miqo'te back in ARR but then I switched to male Au Ra for a good long while after that. Granted, it was a character based off of one I had played in D&D a long while ago so I eventually turned into a male Elezen afterwards. But yeah, you see Miqo'tes everywhere and while I prefer the female Au Ra to the female Miqo'te (I like the more demure, lady-like look of their emotes), there's never a lack of furry-eared people in towns and dungeons.
Spent 2 hours in the character creation trying to recreate my dnd character but after a few hours i decided i hate how thoes giraffe Eezen look, switched to Miqo'te, coudnt v happier and couldn't care less what other people say, i love my cat and i wouldnt have him any other way

I always end up going back to cat because all the other races feel so stiff and stoic in the cut scenes.

I made an alt Miqote male as i played through the story again....only to fall more in love with my alt than my own years worked main...ended up switching my main and alt because of it...and I gotta say...very accurate about the quiet stuff XD but more than anything...of all things that made me love the miqote...the FUCKING EAR WIGGLES!!!

Miqo wasn't my first choice.
I went through the entire game first as a male raen aura.
Then switched to a male miqo for a second playthrough.

My main character did start as a male Miqo'te back in ARR but then I switched to male Au Ra for a good long while after that. Granted, it was a character based off of one I had played in D&D a long while ago so I eventually turned into a male Elezen afterwards. But yeah, you see Miqo'tes everywhere and while I prefer the female Au Ra to the female Miqo'te (I like the more demure, lady-like look of their emotes), there's never a lack of furry-eared people in towns and dungeons.

Spent 2 hours in the character creation trying to recreate my dnd character but after a few hours i decided i hate how thoes giraffe Eezen look, switched to Miqo'te, coudnt v happier and couldn't care less what other people say, i love my cat and i wouldnt have him any other way
I was happy when Female Viera and Hrothgar came to the game. I tried Viera in ShB, ended up returning to Miqote. I tried Hrothgar in Dawntrail, ended up returning to Miqote.

I started as a Male Roegadyn.. and after clearing through Shadowbringers I decided I was tired of my Summoner and White Mage making me look like The Rock’s Toothfairy. Soo, I swapped to Female Miqo, and everything looks good now I’m kinda mad 😂
Can't even spend 30 minutes as a male catboi alone in my room, decorating my housing unit, without some person I have never meet in the game randomly /tell messaging me "Cute Kitty".
