This would be at the top of my list except that it doesn't have the auto-empty dust bin. I went with the Roborock Q Revo. This one lifts the mops higher, 12 instead of Roborocks 7, and the object avoidance seems better on Eufy too. Close competition and great to see these full-featured options in a step down from the premium models.
Yes the mop lift and the obstacle avoidance is the best I've seen yet. Shame about the auto empty dustbin and lack of water tank within the robot vac itself. Hopefully the next model will include that.
I have exact same concerns. I wish they had provided auto empty dustbin. Still debating if it is fine to go without it. I have Ecovac with mopping but no auto-lift. I see the use of auto-lifting. How 7 inch auto lift working for the carpets?
I hope the Eufy cleaners are more reliable than the one I bought about 4 years ago. I had to have it replaced after about 7 months then the replacement stopped working after about 6 months but Eufy wouldn't replace it as it was passed the original one year warranty :(
So the Base Station only cleans the mops, it doesn't empty the dust bin?

Hi, I might do but it's an incredible amount of work vac comparison videos. The Eufy has the better obstacle avoidance, the style of mop on the Roborock seems to clean a little better in the first pass for general floor cleaning. Eufys mop lift is also higher than the Roborock. Both are very good and I think the Eufy has the edge with the mop lift hight of 12mm. Both are quite poor at lifting hair's off carpets. I'm looking for a new older style main brush for the efuy with bristles to fix that.

The X9 Pro doesn't empty the bin at the docking station but only cleans & dry the mop?
Can u test the cleaning performance by looking at the % of dirt picked up from the floor/carpet before & vacuuming?

Correct it doesn't empty dust bin only clean this mops and reset them. Q Revo well if they send it to me sure i can cover it. Tha ks for watching!!!

thanks for the review. You mentioned the cleaning station re-wets the mops. Does the unit not put down water for the mops while it's cleaning?
No it doesn't have a tank within the X90 Pro so it has to go back every 5,10 or 15 minutes you set it in the app.
@@Techtablets does it remember it's path so it's not putting the mops down over an area already cleaned for the day?
Yes it does and keep them up when returning back, seen it do it. So that was good as I also had my doubts.

Though not mentioned, I do see the Con list includes no auto empty of the dust bin. Is it common for a high end robovac to not have this feature?
Hi yes you're right it should also be listed there. A dust bin would be great then we wouldn't have to empty it so often.
Can I control it, and use onboard camera? Would be useful to check on place while away.
Hi, you can control it manually but there is still no way to login and view the camera. It's just for the obstacle avoidance. Not sure they will change that.
Can you change the main rubber brush with a normal one?
I'm sure there will be an option for this, I'll ask.
Can you use cleaning solution in the clean water tank?
Not sure unless there is one specific for robot mop vacuums.
Is the q revo any good? I was going to order the x pro but the lack of dust bin and water bin is a deal breaker for me. Any other models you recommend?
Seems like a trade-off to me as the Q Revo has pretty terrible obstacle avoidance. So you don't have to empty the bin, but you do have to tidy up your floors before each vacuum. Personally I'd rather just empty the bin with the eufy.

So, I went ahead and purchased the X9 Pro when it was released here in the states. I have it downstairs where I only have hardwoods and some area rugs. It works absolutely wonderfully. It has the best navigation I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It rarely bumps into anything, which is great at keeping my white baseboards mark free (I have a newly built home). It replaced my Bravva M6 and J7+. I moved them upstairs and gave my mom my Roomba 960.
I like the X9 Pro so much I've been debating to get another one for the upstairs. But, since my bedrooms upstairs have carpet and media room and bathrooms have hardwood/tile, I decided to go with the Dreame L10s Ultra. I have a cat and his box is upstairs and I figured the auto empty dustbin would be beneficial. If it hadn't been for that, I would have went with another X9. Now my mom will get the Bravva and J7+.
I also considered the Roborock Revo, but it's navigation is garbage.
I agree and personally use the X9 Pro myself the obstacle avoidance alone makes it worth it and its navigation is as you say so good. Mops well the only downside is hairs and fine pet hair since the brush is rubber only. I hope they release a combo bristles and rubber brush. I would also love to see this model with an auto empty station as well as auto clean. Maybe the X10 Pro will have this. Sure to!
How is the battery? People are complaining about it? And also does it make a difference thst it doesn’t have a water tank in the vacuum itself?
I have this, and it is good. However the battery drops by 50% after 290 Sq ft cleaning of two rooms. Is this the consensus
for this robot?
Have here the same problem 50% after 13min and 12 sqmeters - I hope it's only a defect with the battery otherwise it would be a show stopper and I'll send it back. Waiting atm for answer from the support. Apart from that it's really a great robot. Fast Navigation, quiet cleaning and good vac and mopping results.
I'm not experiencing this with mine. Eufy did send me a replacement because mine kept turning itself off and on. Their support was really good too!

Quite a few people have asked me this and if I got the Q Revo from Roborock then yes I would compared them or be able to tell you which is best.

Hi, it's inside the vac like other older models you have to empty it. Only 410ml but does use for 2 days. We just have to remember to empty it, sadly the station is mop cleaning and drying only!
@@Techtablets but they should add dustbin also just like other ROMBA and other vacuum companies did. Cleaning dustbin, mapping, map cleaning and Auto filling as well.
They should, and I'm sure later we will see a model with that option.

Too bad it doesn’t have auto empty bin and water tank. I will go with roborock this time, hope eufy can catch up when I need to buy the next robot.

On hard floors yes, on carpets I might not get all of it first pass.
so it doesnt have a water tank in the mop ? you keep saying it goes back to the base station to wet the mop?
It doesn't have a tank within the vac so it has to go back to rewet the mops at the interval you select, 5, 10, 15 mins.

Still after a certain time the mops get dirty and would need a clean so it's not that much of dealbreaker unless you have a very large place (I don't)
@@Matt-ob3ek I don't think it's a big deal. The mops need to be cleaned at the base station anyways, and I've read that water tanks in robot vacuums tend to have issues, getting clogged etc. Plus this leaves more room on the unit for battery, dust bin etc.

They are, the X8 Pro was the one before this and now they are back with a mopping unit and no dual motor tech this time.

Hi, I see no way to but Eufy say it never records anything. I passed this common question onto them. It's only for the AI.see function.
You could always put piece of masking tape over the camera?

I thought it wasn't mentioned but only at the even of the video. Poor effort by Chris but at least it's something. I have this same style rubber roller in our Roborock S7 and it's fricken useless, wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Anything but these useless rubber brushes.

Not just cleans the mops the station. Dustbin is via the robot vacuum.
You need to do more clean tests like steel balls, pet hair, and fake dog pooh to see if it touches it.

We have the Roborock S7 with this style of brush that is rubber. I want to warn people against it as on carpets it doesn't collect or scoop up any long hairs from our two bearded collies, our cat, and myself. Huge disappointment as it was advertised as the best of the best but it falls flat with hair collection! This brush style... it's USELESS, sure it doesn't dangle up with hairs BECAUSE it cannot even suck them up or lift them!!! On hard flooring, it's going to be great and the mapping is good, but if I knew about the pet hair issue I wouldn't have bought the damn thing! Does the camera offer a sentry mode or live images you cut out of this video which seems odd of you Chris?
Just to add $719 after discount is a big ask. Should be $499 as it has no base station dust bin.
Hi Dan, there is no live view feature for the front RGB camera as far as I know it's only used for the AI function to avoid objects. Nothing recorded or viewed. As for the main brush yes, I can confirm with all of the rubber style brushes on carpet it can be harder for them to lift up the hairs. Rubber + bristles seems to be the way to go for that.
Price wise with the mop cleaning, mop lift features and all its other features like AI objects avoidance it's about the same as the competition.

Well for mopping they are here one of the best. But for hair on carpet...
This robot sucks ....it is totally rubbish ...i had three roborocks before i buy this useless piece ....The MAJOR flaw i MAPPING..First you can t magnify the map as much as you wish ,second you can t mark a certain point on the map to send it for spot cleaning ,third if you rearrange anything in the room it won't clean where there were furniture or something else ...it just use the stored map and wont cover new areas ...TOTAL DISSAPOINTMENT .Won t reccomend as it is.
It's quite expensive, but if it works, it pays off... one thing less left to do. Grown-ups will love it. 🫡
