This vessel concept have container capacity limits, and I am thinking, I mean it is my personal thinking, that this ship also it is not cost efficient due its limited capacity due the cranes in each hold.

A pretty inspiring look at the future. Is there a way to feed the hydrogen fuel cells with green hydrogen, using stored electricity, instead of liquefied natural gas? Then it could have 100% carbon reduction, not just 70%. Maybe if there was, we could go straight to a fully electric container vessel, assisted by solar and wind.

What is the point of using electricity to feed hydrogen into fuel cell? Fuel cell make electricity in the first place.
Apart from hydrocarbons, the only way to make hydrogen is by water splitting which is nowhere near cost and energy efficient as hydrocarbons.

@@RR-us2kp Solar panels produce energy that is ridiculously cheap, almost free. You just make hydrogen from water when the sun is shining, no batteries needed.
So despite the inefficiency of the process it would be totally worth it if you'd factor in the true costs of fossil fuel.
"Costs" is also an abstract concept since money is a figment of our collective imagination. It just requires investment. Once more engineering is done and economies of scale kick in you can well imagine fuel cells becoming much cheaper.
Sorry but I'm so sick and tired of hearing these stupid comments that basically say "sorry we all have to die because it costs too much not to kill the entire planet".

@@RR-us2kp Many were saying in the 90's that Battery driven cars were impractical, slow, had low range and generally unsexy. But even at that time there were people who could see the marvelous potential. Let's not underestimate the potential of green hydrogen because in-effect the vision is not about getting hydrogen from port but making it cleanly onboard the vessel from the very ocean the ship is sailing on. ua-cam.com/video/2xdXqNGqBag/v-deo.html

The splitting up of the hulls is undesirable.

Hmm. I'm fascinated by it though. I wonder what mechanisms they imagine could keep this vessel bound together through high seas. lol. the ocean is no joke and if those mechanisms require some form of electric power source to maintain its grip then I imagine it would be a huge drain on the overall power supply. Which goes to your point TP Lo

Extremely expensive collection of ideas put into one ship that no shipping company will be able to afford.

Carrying too many overhead travelling cranes.
