Greetings from a new American subscriber. I have a shop full of projects, older UJMs, a new Yamaha MT07/FZ07 (my first NEW bike since the '78 GS1000!!!), early 2000's Italian sport bikes, a K1200S BMW, and now a '78 Gold Wing. My hope is that I can add this channel to the list of work avoidance tools....
It looks good now it will be blinding when finished the tank is brilliant as it is. Good luck hope it goes smoothly no hidden gremlins fingers crossed .
Seems like his is a bit of a trend! I subscribe to Andy's motorcycle obsession and he said to check you out. Unfortunately I'm not from down under I'm from down south in Surrey. I like what I've seen so far You've got my sub! Keep it up. Dan
Hey guys Ive currently got a 1200 bandit with a gsxr back end my mate put on on the weekend.. really interested if you could go through how stevo got the gsxr swingarm to fit?? Would be super appreciated.. love what you are doing keep at it
I'll get Steve O to cover it, but basically he had the frame machined done where the swing arm mounts to it and a couple of top hat spacers turned up to fill the gap. Front sprocket also had to have an offset to it to line the chain up and the rim of the sprocket carrier had to ba machined down slightly for clearance reasons 👍
Hehehe... It ended up a bit of a mash up its fair to say with a few issues to sort out. Steve O just lost his way with it 😂 Thanks for joining us, I hope you like it 👍
Been looking for new content and this is perfect. Saw you guys over at OYB. Great workshop btw.Keep up the good work. Got to ask where did you get your lift? Been after one just like that.
Hi Rob and thanks for joining us, we hope you like it. The lift was an eBay special which I can't find any more. I'm not sure but it may have been an end of line model. If I can find the details, I'll let you know 👍
13:30 we were just taking the rear subframe off the bike. This was a mod that Steve O did previously. Just welded some tabs on the Bandit frame so he could bolt on the GSXR subframe comple with seat, bodywork, lights etc... Hope that helps matey 👍
I'm struggling to get some heat resistant spray paint to match my k6 1200 engine. It's not black and it's darker than dark anthracite, have you any idea m8? Cheers Martin
HI, nice project. I just stated watching your videos and they are great. Sorry my ignorance , how does it works for the DVLA and MOT ? can you modify the rear sub frame without having to do any paperwork or modify the V5 ?? I'll carry on watching more episodes. Thanks a lot . Gus from Wales
Hi Gus. Yes you can without any issues. The headstock of the frame carries the frame number etc and the identity of the bike. As long as that's intact, you don't really have any problems. When you tell the insurance company everything that you've done, they may request an engineers report, but I've yet to be asked for one 👍
Not sure without hearing the noise etc but if it's coming from the crank I'd probably start pulling the engine apart and checking bearings etc. Noises from deep in the engine rarely tend to get better on their own and something is obviously wrong. Have you seen Matt's channel "The Workshop"? He's got 1000's of video covering all kinds of things to do with engines and tends to be my go to channel for stuff like this. You might consider having a rummage through his videos to see if it helps - ua-cam.com/channels/hYdD3BgfawTdKlnUJBeOMA.html
Sorry be be vague, but I'm not a mechanic so not really qualified to answer you straight. The above is what I would do, but Matt knows his onions and could better help you.
@@QuickBikes no worrys at all ! If yous have any other bits up for sale Message me on Instagram @dean_talbot_ (the diabetic biker ) ive a 2001 bandit that needs a new lease of life !!!
@@deantalbot4934 I will have a natter with Steve O and see what he's got as I'm not really sure any more... You could always take an angle grinder to it... Just saying ;-)
I would rock that all day long. But it does need a few minor changes
as a previous mk2 600 bandit owner it's going to to be interesting how this unfolds. Andy sent me to come and check out the mayhem 🤘
Craig from On Yer Bike gave your channel a shoutout. Subbed, started watching, like what I see. Greetings from Suriname - South America.
Hi and thanks for joining us, I hope you enjoy it 👍

Nice paint work brother
Cheers, that was back in the day when I'd just started airbrushing. May end up getting the kit out again for a future build 👍

Hi Rob, it's a Switzer 1000lb bike lift. I just found one on eBay exactly the same under item No 202284305673
@@QuickBikes How strange! Found it today as well. Thank you for checking and letting me know. Loving the build by the way. Got as far as Ep 8 now.

I've no idea mate, sorry... have you tried phoning Suzuki themselves? They tend.to be really helpful with stuff like that

is any one know how to take care of bandit engine noise. if the idle id high, no noise. but if idle about 1000rpm you can hear noise like from crank

It runs and passed MOT... let's take it all apart and make it into a cafe racer.... Why not :-)!
Why not indeed 😁
To be fair I did find quite a lot that needs fixing or doing properly. Doesn't say much for the mot really does it?
Hehe hehehe....
