A long time ago, when I was a child, I was being taught violin at Georgetown University when my mentor died. I was so heartbroken I quit. I would not do that today & am envious. I intend to go back to trying to re-learn music reading & play the piano again soon. I also played the trumpet.
Go for it man, its never too late to learn. We are always learning while we are alive.

BUBBLE POWER my first violin cost £20, so they're not expensive if you want to try. i have a much better Gliga violin now.
They say the violin is on par in regards to difficulty with brain surgery. As soon as I found out my girlfriend of a year could play the violin I got really interested in the instrument. kKnowing it's considered the most complex, difficult to master makes these videos that much better.
It's not hard to learn, but to master is a whole different thing.

love this so much. so talented. im a violinist (12) and and playinga solo for my school orchestra with piano back up of course. Any advice would be great :)
make sure you breathe at regular intervals to keep your bow level, and have the correct posture prior to playing. make sure you have the correct bow grip and make sure to use the whole bow and not just a tiny proportion of it.

Matters how much u want to practice. If you haven't learned any other instruments, probably 2-3 years. This isn't a complicated violin piece.
By asking this question, I can already see that you don't want to put much efforts in and want to see the results, this is not how things works, maybe porn. But as the person above me said, it takes around 2-3 years, because this pretty slow, not much technical stuff, but it's the matter of how you produce the sound.
