    STudying for the GMAT (business school entrance exam) and this is very helpful, I have a question though, how would I go about solving for "L" when sum of consecutive integers is given, A is given and is given

    • @ExamSolutions_Maths
      @ExamSolutions_Maths  9 років тому

      Powaup You will know how many terms you are summing (n) so let L = n and use the nth term formula where d=1 so last term =A+(L-1)(1)

    Question : how do you find the differene if you are given a1 and a3

    • @ExamSolutions_Maths
      @ExamSolutions_Maths  5 років тому

      Easy, a2 = the mean of a1 and a3 so a2 = (a1 + a3) / 2. Then the difference will be a2-a1 or a3-a2

    how would you do 10.5x90 WITHOUT a calculator in the exam?

    • @MA4Xtreme
      @MA4Xtreme 6 років тому

      Ruth E. Lol a bit late but... just multiply 90 by 10 to start with, which gives 900, then multiply 0.5 by 90, so this is 45 as 0.5 is basically halving the value. Add 900 and 45 and you get 945 :)
