This was originally part of Expo 67 when the World's Fair came to Montreal, Canada.
I believe the colours represent Pride Month in Montreal.

I went to EXPO 67, it was by far the most spectacular event ever held in Montreal !!! The 1976 Montreal Summer Olympic Games certainly could also be described as a "spectacular" event. EXPO 67 was much larger, 1000 acres, and lasted 6 months versus 2 weeks for the Summer Olympics. Having walked around Olympic Stadium during a hot and humid summer afternoon in August I must admit the EXPO 67 site felt like a much more comfortable place to be way back during the summer of 1967. You could board the yellow or blue miirail and take in the site while giving your feet a rest or hop on the EXPO Express to travel from point A to point B. There were also an abundance of "Rickshaw" bicycle framed, university student peddle powered taxis available to use by visitors. Yes Patrick you missed out on something very special because you weren't born yet. 🙂

The casino was the French pavilion in 67. The American was the dome which is still there on parc Jean Drapeau.
