Just cuz he was frustrated because someone parked in his driveway doesn’t mean the guy can attack him for it. Yeah the kid was apologetic, but you don’t have a right to start beating someone for toeing your car, no matter how sorry you are.
A detail that i noticed and appreciated- the friend of the victim was scared, panicked and in shock while trying to save his friend and talk to the operator and the whole time he kept saying "ma'am" in his responses. He stayed polite and kept manners the whole time.
What an awful comment. I wouldn't care if he cursed her out. It was an emergency situation. Good on you that you're pleased that he behaved himself. Totally gross.
I'm really questioning why he wouldn't let the guy leave. I mean the whole problem was that he was parked there well okay was trying to move the parked car...
Because it probably happens a lot and he wanted someone to finally get held accountable. There's no ignorance to spots like that being private parking and there are almost always signs. They ignore them because they get tired of looking for spots on the street and they'll take advantage cause they're 'just running in for a minute'. It's a line I heard way too many times when I lived in the cities and confronted violators. But a minute is often 20, an hour, overnight. Tenants come back, aren't authorized to call the tow truck so they typically are out of luck unless you have someone on site like I was to deal with it. A tow gives a victim in this situation satisfaction and a monetary consequence to the offender.
This kid trespassed, parked in this guy's driveway without permission, and then acted rude af. The guy wasn't stopping him from leaving, the kid could've just walked away. The guy just wanted the car towed to make a statement, because he was tired of this happening. And he DESERVED to get his car towed. He could've paid fines and retrieved his vehicle from the tow yard later. But no, he decides to insult the guy and start a fight.
Yes so much for protect and serve. They are taught first aid. Good thing his “response” was recorded. If that was my son that would be a point of control for me. Why didn’t the cop render aid? Why did he make his friends stop helping him and stand aside.
I don't understand why that guy didn't just let him get his car and leave. Put up a fence if it's that big a deal. I also don't get why the police made everyone leave the victim and didn't start to administer care right away. There was no reason for this young man to lose his life that night. This is so sad.
So I should have to spend thousands of dollars to prevent asshats from going on my property? He was wanting it towed to make a point. it doesn't matter who got violent first. Once you trespass and give the owner a reasonable expectation of danger,he is allowed to defend himself with equivalent force, i believe the only reason he got any conviction at all a was because he used a improvised weapon and used a slur.Neither of these people are great, but he was legally in the right when it came to self defense.@@shutemdwn
@@mikeespinoza5733 I swear peoples reading comprehension skills are garbage these days. I'm agreeing with the property owner. The black guy hit the white guy FIRST, so yeah he's allowed to defend himself.
They need to retrain these 911 operators. Say help is on the way, repeatedly if necessary. THEN ask all the questions you want. Not the other way around.
No, the questions they ask determine the priority level and assist in sending the appropriate care. There are a lot of important questions and if we don''t have the answers we send minimal resources because we aren't sure. Someone screaming for help at our dispatcher and never answering a question so we send minimal units because there are true confirmed emergencies going on elsewhere. Answer the questions. Most of the time the people screaming and freaking out calls turn out to be nothing about 90% of the time in my career. If we sent 5 cops, an ambulance, and a fire truck, to every call where someone was screaming for help, we would not have enough resources to be used. Additionally, that dispatcher is an EMD and MUST follow a STRICT scipt on what to say and when. Not following it can result in a reprimand and leave them liable as well
He would still be alive if he hadn’t attacked the guy. All the guy did was defend himself. Granted he should’ve let the kid get his car but from his point of view this is a long standing problem and he wanted the kid sighted for trespassing. Even if the kid parked his car there it doesn’t give him the right to trespass to get it back. It’s not his property and he shouldn’t have parked there in the first place.
And died due to blood loss. Ridiculous. Sometimes I feel cops do more harm than good in these situations. Wonder if he could’ve been saved had they immediately put him in car and drove to hospital. Often dying from a stabbing is a slow process. Stop the blood. Get to hospital. Feel so awful for his friends and family who tried so desperately to help.
You forgot to finish the story. So then, he proceeded to attack and repeatedly punch the old man in the face on his property, shortly after leaving the first time. He came back… and it is at this point where he was stabbed. You did not want to hear that.
But then he turned a verbal disagreement into a physical attack soo there's that big detail you seem to forget. This seems like a clear case of self defense.
I must be the calmest person. I would’ve taken a picture of car and license plate and let him leave right away. While stating he is trespassing and it is illegal to park here. That easy.
I would've let him go too. But he does say this stuff happens all the time, presumably from the same people. And then he was beaten. So, not ideal on either party, but the property owner did not attack first.
@@DeanDewnuffunIt's a one-sided story, we don't know what happened at the car. You can hear the victim saying why are you so close to my car, back off, etc. Tough guy homeowner had a weapon and decided to stab the "trespasser" rather than let him leave. What a punk.

But my question is…. Why did he have the tire deflated on him in the first place ? Was he planning on puncturing the tires before the tow truck took it ? Is that why he was so mad the victim got there to move the car ? He clearly had bad intentions..
You would be surprised at what citizens call 911 for. They have called to check and make sure the Tornado sirens are just a test, they test them the first Wednesday every month.

Why don’t LEO’s (who are trained and are always first on scene) render any kind of aid nowadays? They always make the citizens on scene stop “back away from him” when they’re trying to help/apply pressure which likely kept him from bleeding out right there and stand and wait on EMS. I’ve seen it happen 100x it’s so frustrating…
Most do now. The problem is, many cops get sued for rendering aid if their department doesn't train them or provide supplies. Officers have been sued for breaking someone's ribs doing CPR. The person will survive SOLELY because of the chest compressions, but still sue.
As someone who lives in minnesota, especially having lived in Minneapolis too recently, the cops take way too long to respond. And don’t do much when they show up. No rush even though someone’s been stabbed. Also in Minnesota the judges love to keep letting you out even after you come back multiple times with multiple felonies. Not wishing jail on anyone but most of the violent or bad crimes happen by people have have multiple felonies already and have been in an out 5 plus times for serious charges. Something’s gotta change this isn’t gonna go anywhere good in the next 10 years for the rest of the states like minnesota as well

It’s disingenuous to blame the police or the homeowner. It is also untruthful to say “he apologized and only wanted to get his car back”. That is not what happened. We both watched the same video, right? Did you miss the part where the guy who was trespassing was not only the first one to get an attitude and be confrontational, he also physically assaulted the homeowner first. You believe the homeowner deserved more than a year in jail for defending himself against a stranger punched him four times after illegally parked on his property? Everyone needs to go back to having the common sense and decency to respect other people and their property.
The fact that I got more time for getting caught with weed but this man killed someone and just gets a little slap on the hand like in daycare. The court system is a joke.
If the roles were reversed and that young black man did that to him, he would have got life without parole. He could have just let that young man leave with his vehicle and asked him not to park there again. Disgusting sentence by the judge. So sorry to this young man’s loved ones.
Generally the ambulance is already in route while dispatch is getting the information. They will forward the information to the EMT’s so they have an idea what they need when they arrive. For example if it had been a heart attack they would have brought in the defibrillator and not had to run back to the ambulance to get it.
. They ask questions to get information to the medics while they're on their way and, in cases of violence like this, to keep police updated on any threat that may be lurking. Do you not think knowing whether or not the person who stabbed him was lingering around is a good thing to know? Knowing other things like his age and where he was stabbed along with other questions allows EMS to be as prepared as possible when they get there as opposed to having to take time to size up the scene first. They don't just yeet people into an ambulance and bounce most of the time. Watch some real videos of EMS and dispatchers and you'll understand why they do the things they do. Not getting the answers to those questions is literally what delays care. It takes away precocious seconds when they have to figure it out on scene instead of knowing it ahead of time.

I have had similar incidents where at my house I have 2 separate parking pads. I noticed a mini van parked on one of them and go out to investigate. It's unlocked so I open it up and start rummaging through it when I hear my neighbor say something about he didn't have any parking available at his mom's house so he just parked his vehicle in my driveway. Another incident where a woman visiting another neighbor decides to back her car in my driveway and exits to go visit her friend while I'm at work. I call the police she comes running out the house while they're running her plates and claims the car. They ask her is this her house and she says no and they ask why did you park here? She says I thought it was okay. They inform her that her vehicle registration is expired and let her go with a warning. (All caught on my Nest camera). A common occurrence is people deliberately blocking my driveway by parking their vehicles in front of it where if I wanted to leave I couldn't. Despite plenty of spaces to park up and down the road. Needless to say I stay in the "hood" and low vibration individuals will intentionally do this to provoke and/or instigate situations that can and will escalate. I choose to ignore it and not engage in the debauchery and buffoonery since many of these individuals are mentally and financially challenged and any attention in their mind is good. I have way too much to lose in this life to let people get under my skin and become an nuisance to me and my peace of mind.

@kenneth-zk5dw If the owner had prepared all of those signs in/around their property you would think that the property owner would invest in a fence to protect their property from being trespassed on.
Very disturbing, but the fact that he had a tire deflater in his pocket is troubling bc if you know how they are shaped you also know it will be hard to contain the release of pressure (the wound in this case)..rest

All this over a parking space I understand the person had no business putting a car on someone else's property I agree have it towed. The problem I have when the young man came to get his car you scold him about being on your property he acknowledged that he said I will move my car but no you wanted the escalated further even though you're right you blew it way out of proportion even more I thought you wanted the car off your property so why did you not allow the guy to take the car off your property.
None of this would’ve happened if dude didn’t trespass and then attack the home owner. Man shouldn’t have been convicted of anything this was self defence.
All the kid did was park on the side of an alley, which as the property owner admitted was often used by people as a parking spot (because it bears more of a resemblance to the shoulder of a road than part of a yard). When he returned for the vehicle, he was being very polite and apologetic - And then the homeowner took it upon himself to physically prevent him from removing his vehicle.

Dispatcher ask to many questions that delay is for things to escalate.
I was thinking same thing. She needs a different job. That was ridiculous.

@@adudewithlonghair5706 dude had a tire deflator. Idk where you got gun from. And I won’t deny that you’re right. But all I’m saying is that if someone is parked on my property, the last thing I’m going to do is block them from getting in the car and getting confrontational if I don’t want to fight like a man.
Moral of the story, respect peoples property , and this NEVER would happen!
Pure and simple!
🤡 the kid parked along the side of an alleyway. He was apologetic when he tried to move the vehicle. The POS killer decided he didn’t want to let him leave, and physically prevented it - which is false imprisonment by the way. You can’t claim self-defence when you initiate a physical confrontation.
I would say attacking a disabled veteran in the middle of the night on his own property didn't work out to well for that guy.. shouldn't have even gotten a year.

Heart breaking especially his friend begging to stay w him
Cop should be sued also tells them to get away from the victim and stand over there and he did nothing to help the cops 100% have training foe advanced life support along with cpr
It wouldn’t have changed anything. He was actively bleeding out. Surgeon’s could not even stop it. He was doomed from the moment he was stabbed. And remember the benefit of hindsight is irrelevant at this point.
He got away with it?! One year isn’t sh#% 🤬
"When keeping it real" goes awry, dude should've let him drive away
Dude shouldn’t have been parking there illegally for the 10th time and he shouldn’t have violently attacked the guy on his own property. You do realize that if he had just not parked there, this entire ordeal could’ve been avoided. People need to be held accountable. And it’s not the first time he’s parked there. He’s obviously seen the signs and knows he shouldn’t park there. Also, if someone is standing between your vehicle and you, normal people would just call the cops. Not violently attack someone. We already know the kid started the physical altercation. It’s just that after being punched several times, the bussiness owner needed to defend himself and was in fear of his life. This was a perfect example of self defense. Try to look at ALL the details and not cherry pick what helps your made up narrative sound better.
@chrisjenkins203 sorry to say this so if I parked at McDonald's to run to burger King multiple times which is next store I can have my car forcefully blocked? By store managers i mean if I try to steal from them then yes and also deserve to get my Ash beat for stealin but parking? Mmm Idk? 🤷♂️
@@mickeypros No they can’t, you call the cops, it’s that simple. Plus, McD’s parking lot doesn’t have “No parking, No trespassing” signs. You comparing foolish things that don’t make sense but keep trying. You certainly don’t physically attack the McDix employee. It’s sad that you need this explained.
@chrisjenkins203 I agree with you with calling cops but! Sadly, the Mcdonald near me has a customer parking only and a tow sign, I guess we have different McDonald's? 🤷♂️ and if you think I'm defending the 17 years old NO! I dont think this was about race. However that guy should have gotten way more time than that. He should've just let the kid take his car. This young man got killed over parking somewhere he wasnt supposed to. Ridiculous
That killer did AJ dirty then after securing a successful conviction, the judge also does AJ dirty and stays nearly the entire sentence (which i thought was already low at 12 years). Why? This is an outrage and i feel for AJ's family. They receive no justice whatsoever.
1 year for hatefully stabbing a another man is crasssyyy but y’all always remember there is evil in this world but Jesus Christ loves us all very , very much get as close as you can to him and stay prayed up
yes he parked on his property but he was trying to move his car while the guy harassed him. he even admitted he wouldnt let him get his car cuz he wanted it to get towed. fist fight turned into stabbing( with a tire deflator that he was probably going to use to let the guys air out). he deserved longer than a year becuase he escalated the situation on purpose.
Nuff said
That guy should have gotten minimum 15 years. He is a menace. He’s not right in the head. Why was he still saying “You’re trespassing”. Then stop shouting at him and let him leave! He was about to move his car! What a m o r o n! Disgusting sentence!
or the kid could have accepted the consiquences, not sprinted at a stranger on his own property, assaulted someone...
lessons could have been learned and a life could have been lived, gut instinct could have avoided this but they were BOTH hot headed children.
just let him tow the car, get off his property, end of story, its america, you are not entitled to do whatever you want.
then post ur address so that people can come over and start punching you cause you dont want them on your property! Disgusting comment!
@@Heavymetalspirit710 "its america, you are not entitled to do whatever you want."
Doesn't seem that way.
It’s his property he should of known not to park there if any that’s self defense
it's nice knowing there are people like you allowing strangers to trespass into your property without knowing who they are. Even though you'll have a shorter life than most, I hope stabbing isn't where you'll meet your end.
And he gets away with a year in jail? 🤔🤬🏴
Are cops treated in chest seals or first aid techniques? Im not calling it a hate crime but first aid training techniques need to be stepped up
People need to learn to stay off of other peoples property and to keep their hands to themselves. I don’t agree with this man in any way and killing someone for parking their car on your property does not justify using deadly force. You call the police and let them handle it and if the person shows up in the mean time you let them have their vehicle but let them know that you will have it towed next time it happens. He clearly stood in the way of this man trying to get into his vehicle and initiated contact. I am truly sorry to hear that he did not make it and even more disappointed in our legal system for giving him such a minor sentence. Our legal system is broken and it seems to benefit criminals more and more and the victims tend to get the short end of the stick and suffer far more than the perpetrator. I used to be hot headed but I taught myself to avoid any situations like this and step aside and let law enforcement handle it. Some people like this man aren’t dealing with a full deck so you have to assume your luck will run out eventually and you might run into someone just like this man the next time you decide to take the law into your own hands. RIP and condolences to his friends and family.
@@Dr.LongMonkey Did you even read my comment? I don’t think did. I never said I was annoyed nor do I agree with the property owner killing someone for parking on his driveway. Absolutely horrific, what that family are going through is stuff of our worst nightmares, the police had to be told by his brother to apply pressure to the wound and he died from losing too much blood, honestly that officer is trash and is far from worthy to have the honour to protect and serve the people, prayers and positive energy to the friends and family.

@strangerdanger4167 dude…I came in with an open mind, I’m actually trying to get into law enforcement and am not on with people breaking the laws I thought at first I would be supporting the parking owner but after watching this it was clear murder, 1. The parking space is kind of ambiguous it’s not like it’s a house and he pulled right into his drive way 2. He clearly was trying to diffuse the situation and leave as soon as he realized the guy was upset 3. The guy was in no way in fear for his life he came with a weapon and used it without provocation, don’t be so bias and tribal, if you don’t like the left being such hypocrites and bias then you can’t be either this is clear murder

Operators all over the world. Don't get it. Just send a ------- ambulance!!
When the operator talking to you ambulance already in route she just keeping you on the phone until they arrive
Being a 911 operator is the most useless position in all of government. A robot could do it more effectively, efficiently and economically
The operator is trying to give ylthem instructions which could dave the victims life
To think.. all he had to do was let the kid leave with his car. Curse him yeah sure. But let him leave. And his sentence was absolutely garbage
Why the dispatcher keep asking if he was stabbed when he sajd it in the first place
This is sooo messed up! None that is right letting someone die like that.
He got mad and started punching the guy in the face
That's an absolute disgrace.
Lol
Used to be if you called 911, address and name was enough to get a dispatch. Now the operators, unfortunately, ask questions and appear to be looking for a reason to disconnect. To anyone who is looking to work as a 911 operator or currently is, please put yourself in the shoes, mentally, of the caller. If something was happening to your family members how would you want a dispatcher to respond? Thank you to the ones that get it right. ❤

Okay property owner has a continuous problem with people trespassing so he needs to put a fence up to protect that area from being used by unauthorized people.
Right. Could've just let him leave in his car. The end.
It was 6 months ago how is that a continuous problem

If the owner had prepared all of those signs in/around their property you would think that the property owner would invest in a fence to protect their property from being trespassed on.

The cops tell the people trying to help to stand to the side, while the police just stand there and wait for a paramedic. SMH....

Not shocking at all! You cannot put your hands on someone and expect nothing to happen
You don’t get to start a physical confrontation and then pretend you’re the victim
