This man had tons of signs sating by the property. He did he the right thing. By calling the police and a tow truck. Then, when the young man shows up to pick up his car , he assaults the man punching in four times in the head. I can't blame them. I would want to protect myself, too. It's sad that he passed away. But these days, people are crazy.I understand being afraid. And he should have respected the property and not park there. Young guy should have used some common sense and self-control. And not start punching people in their head. He was wrong . He was in the wrong.why did he keep parking there? And not understand respect the man property? The owner of the house man being is a veteran with mental problems being afraid. For his life. Either way, people must have more respect for one another.

I think they do understand that.. and I think that’s why they talk the way that they do with people.. can’t show emotions Cuzz I think that would intensify the problem. They try and keep asking questions to kinda distract somewhat the person from the issue so they can gather information.

@@evanabt8578 This is correct, what a dispatcher is trained to do is keep calm, no emotion, be firm and get as much information from the caller as they can so the responders on scene are prepared and to remain safe. The redirection the dispatcher attempts while not effective due to the caller not listening and being as stressed as he was. How a dispatcher is trained to handle this call,
"911 what's the address of the emergency?"
      *gets address*
"What is the nature of the emergency?"
*caller is panicked and garbles something about a stabbing*
"Sir, remain calm. I need to know what happened. You said something about a stabbing. Has someone been stabbed?"
      *caller repeats, somewhat more calm*
      "Is the person breathing?"
      *Screams of nothing useful*
"Sir, I need you to calm down. Is the person breathing?"
*caller says no, continues screaming incoherently*
"Sir, I need you to remain calm and follow my instructions. Where are the person's injuries?"
      *tells dispatcher*
"Okay, now I need you to (insert life saving measures). You need to do this now!"
Something along those lines, you continue to repeat instructions firmly but calmly until the caller is able to follow your instructions. You are the calm voice in an otherwise stressful environment.
My mother was a dispatcher for something like 20 years, all I've learned about how to handle an emergency situation is from her. The one time I've had to call for a medical emergency I remained calm, despite the adrenaline and stress, I managed to give the dispatcher all the relevant information to get medical aid to the injured person. She had broken her shoulder after falling down and was unable to give anything really intelligible.

My only issue is dispatchers often wait too long to explain that help is already on the way.
I've seen too many calls where the first minute is spent talking past one another because the caller doesn't know that and they view the questions as a hurdle to getting help rolling, instead of as a way to make sure they get the best possible help.
As soon as they are told help has been dispatched, you can hear the caller relax and start answering questions clearly and following first aid instructions.

This whole situation is outrageous! Why did the guy just let him take his car. I get it if the guy continuously does it and kind of thumbs his nose up at him. But jeez and the ring camera is so grainy, it's hard to tell if the dead person was the aggressor like the other guy said he was.
But from what I heard, it seems like the guy kept saying, this is my car, and then get away from my car what are you doing to my car. I think maybe the guy was probably going to flatten his tire.

Well I've personally experienced people doing this living in downtown Minneapolis and they'll keep coming back flipping you off. IME the only thing to teach them is to tow but getting a truck there fast enough is often the problem. I was waiting for a truck once for a guy who'd repeatedly ignore my warnings and decided to square off on me with a arrogant grin on his face with a 'what you going to do about it' line. Pepper sprayed him and he couldn't get out of there fast enough. NEVER CAME BACK. The stuff was literally dripping off his face. Bet it was a fun drive. The apology is just a brush off. They know those spaces are rented or owned. They know the signs are there. They don't care.

No, the questions they ask determine the priority level and assist in sending the appropriate care. There are a lot of important questions and if we don''t have the answers we send minimal resources because we aren't sure. Someone screaming for help at our dispatcher and never answering a question so we send minimal units because there are true confirmed emergencies going on elsewhere. Answer the questions. Most of the time the people screaming and freaking out calls turn out to be nothing about 90% of the time in my career. If we sent 5 cops, an ambulance, and a fire truck, to every call where someone was screaming for help, we would not have enough resources to be used. Additionally, that dispatcher is an EMD and MUST follow a STRICT scipt on what to say and when. Not following it can result in a reprimand and leave them liable as well

They ignore them because they get tired of looking for spots on the street and they'll take advantage cause they're 'just running in for a minute'. It's a line I heard way too many times when I lived in the cities and confronted violators. But a minute is often 20, an hour, overnight. Tenants come back, aren't authorized to call the tow truck so they typically are out of luck unless you have someone on site like I was to deal with it. A tow gives a victim in this situation satisfaction and a monetary consequence to the offender.

But my question is…. Why did he have the tire deflated on him in the first place ? Was he planning on puncturing the tires before the tow truck took it ? They don't just yeet people into an ambulance and bounce most of the time. Watch some real videos of EMS and dispatchers and you'll understand why they do the things they do.
Not getting the answers to those questions is literally what delays care. It takes away precocious seconds when they have to figure it out on scene instead of knowing it ahead of time.

It's unlocked so I open it up and start rummaging through it when I hear my neighbor say something about he didn't have any parking available at his mom's house so he just parked his vehicle in my driveway. Another incident where a woman visiting another neighbor decides to back her car in my driveway and exits to go visit her friend while I'm at work. I call the police she comes running out the house while they're running her plates and claims the car. They ask her is this her house and she says no and they ask why did you park here? She says I thought it was okay. They inform her that her vehicle registration is expired and let her go with a warning. (All caught on my Nest camera).
A common occurrence is people deliberately blocking my driveway by parking their vehicles in front of it where if I wanted to leave I couldn't. Despite plenty of spaces to park up and down the road. Needless to say I stay in the "hood" and low vibration individuals will intentionally do this to provoke and/or instigate situations that can and will escalate. I choose to ignore it and not engage in the debauchery and buffoonery since many of these individuals are mentally and financially challenged and any attention in their mind is good. I have way too much to lose in this life to let people get under my skin and become an nuisance to me and my peace of mind.

I don’t agree with this man in any way and killing someone for parking their car on your property does not justify using deadly force. You call the police and let them handle it and if the person shows up in the mean time you let them have their vehicle but let them know that you will have it towed next time it happens. He clearly stood in the way of this man trying to get into his vehicle and initiated contact. I am truly sorry to hear that he did not make it and even more disappointed in our legal system for giving him such a minor sentence. Our legal system is broken and it seems to benefit criminals more and more and the victims tend to get the short end of the stick and suffer far more than the perpetrator. I used to be hot headed but I taught myself to avoid any situations like this and step aside and let law enforcement handle it. Some people like this man aren’t dealing with a full deck so you have to assume your luck will run out eventually and you might run into someone just like this man the next time you decide to take the law into your own hands. True and the victim could have not lost his temper and attacked the owner, when he was told to leave his property. Has the property owner had this happen time and time again and he was sick of it, maybe? Maybe he's let many leave with a warning in the past. Since he had the signs out, makes me think that this was an ongoing problem.

Could have all been avoided if the dude would have parked at the house he ran into. The lack of respect in the country has gotten out of hand . RESPECT PEOPLE AND THERE PROPERTY .

Deflating tires for parking in your lot? That’s a bit much:( like come on:( I don’t think he was going anywhere.. he saw a car parked “on his property” and went out to stab the tires and have it towed.. the whole incident could have been avoided by just being decent! Decent.. and patient..
