Hi With dremel i use diamond bits or steel bits. For me its not strong enough to use Kutzall. When i start and want to get rid of the extra wood i using my foredom. Thats way more powerful than dremel. The rpm its always different . With Foredom and Kutzall bits its almost on the maximum. 10-12000.
Hi I want to get a start in carving/power carving, is there any chance you could tell me where you get your wood for stuff like the warrior faces. I was told not to cut branches from trees as the will be green and eventually dry out causing it to shrink and even crack. Im ordering basswood blocks to start off with for practice but I'd really like to attempt some pieces like the warrior faces on similar logs. Where can I get these?
