金城学院大学ハンドベルクワイア卒業コンサート2010 パッフェルベルのカノン グリフィン編曲 Kinjo Gakuin University Handbell Choir Graduation Concert 2010 Pachelbe's Canon (Arranged by William H. Griffin)
I used to do handbells back when I was in high school. Took it for two years and this song was one of the ones we did, and it's my absolute favorite. So beautiful to listen to
this is the best version of a handbell choir playing this piece I have ever heard. And, it ranks right up there with the best few versions of this piece performed on any instruments. VERY sweet sounds
One time I tried to get tired of this song... Two and a half days on repeat on the CD player.. nope, not sick of it!.. I don't think I ever will, either.
So beautiful! Please help me find the sheet music. It says that it is not in print anymore. I would love to pay for the sheet music so that my handbell choir can perform this. THANK YOU!
What is the age limit one must be to become a student at Gakuin University? Some of these musicians look no more than six or seven years old! I realize many children in Japan are smarter than most adults in most countries are, but how many of these students are actually the age of children?
Pach's Canon in D is an interesting piece. However it is also a boring piece to those of us that have to play it. It's the same eight notes over and over and over and over and over and over for the lower base. You almost follow sleep if you're stuck playing it whether it's handbells or cello or anything else. So it becomes kind of a 'funny' yet beautiful piece.. it's pretty easy not to screw it up actually. And yes I played clarinet for ever. And I've played handbells for 10 years now. So my compliments to the execution. It's just the piece is sadly is not not very challenging.
I played handbells in school. We all loved this one. Someday I hope to have it at my own wedding.

I used to play the handbells but nothing like this. Those big one on the end can get quit heavy. Well done.

Nice sound - that hall leaves much to be desired aesthetically - looks like a dead leek in the middle of that back wall :D

Composers love it. There's so many variations on it that give us a lot to work with when we're composing our versions.
