As a long time fan of this channel, I think it really means a lot that you took our constructive feedback on the new redesigns, and managed to turn it into something great! These new models look AMAZING and I love the whole little "mini arc" type thing of how SMG4 goes insane about how the movie has to be as perfect as it can be it's just really cool
You gotta appreciate how SMG4 actually listened to the fans about the criticism about the redesigns. Boopkins got a full-on glow-up (even if he kinda looks like a chicken now, lol). Meggy still has the same appearance, just with touched up textures. I also love how we can all unanimously agree that Bob is already perfect and needs no change whatsoever.
They only listened to the critics they wanted to hear honestly If they listened fully they wouldn't have made the redesigns go from "cocomelon" to "cocomelon but slightly better"
bob's design is unchanged because he is already perfect looking forward to seeing what's in store! doesn't look like it'll be a super big arc and honestly sure that'll do, really good redesigns too! i'm hoping this still means the sm64 models will be used _(or at least, smg3's model will be updated cuz he's had the biggest change and still uses sm64)_ can't wait to see it!
I also like how SMG4’s insanity greatly reflects how most artist feel about criticism or haters. Constructive criticism is very important, but if people just down right disrespectfully hate the artist, threaten them, or slander them, then it can lead to them quitting social media life or lose motivation on their passion. I can’t wait to see how this arc! It’s gonna be a masterpiece!
New designs are looking fire and the narrative and story telling going on underneath everything is outstanding! All the years of working on here and the stuff on the Glitch channel really showcases the growth!
Gotta say, I would not be against SMG3 doing announcements its kinda cool to see it mixed up every now and again, also love the redesigns you can definitely see that work that put into them.

I dig SMG3's new look. _Not sure_ on Boopkins yet, but my mind is already appreciating the effort. Bob is based, of course. I'm also relieved that the refresh on Meggy adds rather than takes away anything from her presently. Also, SMG4 promising a *Movie? By himself?!* That would justify the crazy... and maybe using cloud assets for it (hence his anger fits when the internet is down). I'm looking forward to this
For this new Boopkins, he look ten more better than the other version. He doesn't look like those ugly chinese bootleg toys, no anymore. Glad they accept those feedbacks and the efforts to make him less bland and ugly.
I think the SMG4 team does a really good job designing characters. A lot of people don’t appreciate just how difficult it can be to create appealing designs, but SMG4 has done a good job in the past and even BETTER now!
I got to say as well that the new designs are definitely better and much more promising than the ones we got from last year. Even Fishy Boobins new design looks much better and definitely fits his character very well. Already seeing SMG4 improving so much over the years goes to show of how perfect this movie is going to be.

You know, out of all the redesigns SMG3 told us about. I was not expecting Meggy to get a refresh, I had no problems with her human look at this point but god damn they went all out to make human Meggy in her purest form. Great work
I like the re-redesigns, the original smg4/3 and boopkins redesigns were lacking some personality. Revamping the meggy model was a good choice too, I think. Her older model would kind of clash with the new, more stylized models the other re-revampees got. All around, looks great! We all really appreciate the work you guys have done on the smg4 channel and I do hope the "gotta be perfect" arc doesn't reflect how you guys are feeling about working on the channel right now. If it is though, I'm sure all the Real Ones (TM) that watch this channel wouldn't be bothered by a mental health break.
Apparently, I saw a video saying how in the Mar10 Day episode on how SMG4 was pissed felt more like he was talking to the viewers on his videos. And I agree 100% on this theory because of the new re-designs.
@@Cippois1 I didn't see that video, but I got the same vibe after this video and the Mar10 day one. I wasn't particularly bothered by the original redesigns (except maybe boopkins), but it didn't really feel like they had their own unique SMG4 style. I know it really hurts to see your fans get disappointed by something you made and maybe the criticisms of the redesigns hurt a little too much which I hope wasn't the intention of any commenters who pointed it out. I just think that if you were new to the SMG4 universe I think it would be too easy to confuse the redesigned SMG3/4 with each other. I think the re-redesign definitely makes them distinguishable and I think their facial expressions and emoting will look great given what we've seen from the new models/rigs already. And the original resdesign for boopkins was kind of just a squished orb with stubby arms and legs with some blue spikes on top which, especially compared to jub jub who is quite similar to that description and who we love, lacked a lot of the personality that the character itself has to offer. Boopkins definitely got the biggest upgrade, SMG3/4 didn't need much of a change but I think what we got was a great decision and it turned out excellently.
Love the updated designs but good lord I am never been so terrified by an SMG4 video. I’m legit nervous about what’s gonna happen in the movie but either way I’m excited

i would more prefer a character study on smg4 rather than just a monster of the week type thing, it's why i don't like the Niles theory even if there are some very good connections there it wouldn't really feel like there's any proper developement if it "Wasn't really smg4" since with something like this, you can have him develop as a character probably into someone who learns to appreciate the friends he has over his work, quite similarly to the rapper bob arc
They used a different model that someone else made and that someone else reached out to them the model is called meggy dx I know this because I use that model in gmod

I personally think that Meggy’s new minor appearance change looks really good and am in love with her new design change! The animation looks so nice with her design too! Boopkins looks better than previously now, and to be honest, he actually just looked like a ball of playdough, I didn’t like it either and I actually agree with SMG3 on some of the parts of this video and Boopkins.
While I for one didn't mind the new changes, I'm astonished and pleased those who were unhappy about it were heard. It's something I definitely didn't expect out of the channel, and proves how much of a respectable youtuber SMG4 is.

This one small video solidifies you guys as the best UA-cam animation channel out there. Not only did you listen to your communities feedback, but you used it to drastically improve the designs of all your characters! They look sick! I want to say thank you. This actually means a lot more to me than most might think. By the time WOTFI 2022 rolled around, I had already been falling off this channel for a while, mostly tuning in only for major events. When I saw the character redesigns I thought that would be the final nail in the coffin and that my time with this channel had come to an end. This wasn’t because of the redesigns or the quality of the content, I just felt I had outgrown SMG4. However, now that I’ve seen that you’re willing to change something you worked hard on simply because it didn’t satisfy the fans, as well as a really interesting teaser, I can say I’ve been brought back in. This channel has served as a huge inspiration for me in the past and present, and now I know it will remain that way for the future. Thanks again to Kevin, Luke, and the whole team!
I really like the re-redesigns. I think all came out well. The only character I want to have a redesign would be Tari and Belle, but it's only cause their models are a bit old, and Belle has a really big head
Those redesigns really looked better than expected! While I understand why people want Fishy Boopkins to be re-redesigned, I don't have problems with the designs with SMG3 and SMG4 before. With that redesign, it does make it even cooler than before! Meggy's freckles has certainly gone away though and that's great! Can't wait to see what "perfection" does SMG4 make in his next video!
Being an SMG4 fan for years, ever since the Mario battle royale and who let the chomp out vids aired, seeing how much the channel has progressed and the creators have always somewhat made me smile
The content imo is SUBSTANTIALLY worse, i cant watch a single video or episode without cringing in the first minute and going to watch smth else, and the arcs are simply just stupid and cringy, i just miss the dumbshit humor they used to have. I'm actually a big fan of the small detail, that SMG3's gloves now have the Roman Numeral 3 (III) on them. Such an interesting design choice! Everyone looks amazing, and I'm happy they didn't change Bob as he's still good.
Let’s all take a moment to remember that SMG3 basically caused SMG4 to turn into this by helping him make “perfect” videos. He’s the biggest reason to why this is happening.
Bro first of all, it's not SMG3's fault, he was making videos and mrbeast ended up just collabing with him LEGITIMATELY. Second, he has the god box's power, which in result caused him to be mentally insane, just like Niles did.

It might be a minor detail that's not even on purpose But I LOVE the fact that SMG4 wasn't in the announcement leads to him still being in his old design. Really shows how this video he's working on goes up to this point.

Same here, smg3’s redesign is ok, no offense to boopkins but…. He is more cursed than before, meggy’s is definitely good, but once I saw all of them I initially had a strong feeling of cringe to this. I love their content and everything but that livestream going to this was different to say the least and unexpected. I say this a good criticism, not to bring hate towards smg4 since I still think that what he does for content is really good and still really funny.
Love the design philosophy behind the new Boopkins; instead of toning down the elements that made him resemble the Nintendo model, those details have been pushed to the extreme, making his model more detailed than the original instead of less. Also like the revised Meggy in how it better matches the art-style of the Saiko's redesign (the smoother facial structure, the darker outlines around the eyes, etc.)
Given the cosmic powers smg3 and 4 have, smg4 going on a meme fueled rampage in search of the perfect video will probably be terrifying for the world at large.
I really love the new designs. Boopkins looks a lot better, SMG3 and 4 looks good, and Meggy's upgrade design is great. And as much I like to talk about the ending of the video, but, all I can say is. Holy damn.

I had a feeling something was up as soon as I noticed SMG4's hat looking different on the livestream. But dang, even if it's small details being changed, they really enhance the models. Big fan of the pie eyes.
Originally I did not have a problem with fishy boopkins new design, but looking at the new model it’s definitely an improvement. I did not notice at first how much detail was lost in the transition between models. Now this new model looks even more detailed and just looks so much better. Still have to get used to it a little. The other three just seem to have little adjustments done to them, but it makes them look so good. Overall great redesign.

In 11 years smg4 has changed a lot getting better and better, both in the story telling and visual graphic. The whole team as grown so much , and I think that this is just the begging of something incredible amazing and terrifying at the same time
I like how this was a lead up to the design upgrade but then left us on a cliffhanger. SMG4 and crew really love presentation. Also, my theory is that SMG4 wanted to make the best present for MAR10 Day, but look at the toll it takes.
Guy looks more better than smg4. They could've at least added a moustache for the smg4 redesign like giving it more personality and a little nod to the original design
For the SMGs redesigns: I don’t see too much change (other than SMG3’s extra details, but the model still looks mostly the same), but tbh, I actually got used to their newer designs anyway. Boopkins redesign: much better, definitely the one that needed an reupgrade. Meggy’s upgrade: I say upgrade instead of redesign because she doesn’t look too different, but the HD style upgrade to her model does make the model look a little better. If Tari does get an upgraded model, simple: Meta runner look. You’ve already got an alternate skin essentially right there. Also interested to see what’ll happen on Saturday.
I always make the joke of "if someone wants Tari to have the Meta Runner design, then we just kill off Tari altogether, because that's basically all we need to do."
Firstly, major props to SMG4 and the crew. Making this content for over 10 years now and constantly trying their best. I respect it. And secondly, the redesigns are fire I like em better than the other ones honestly and Boopkins really got an upgrade. And seeing meggy’s model improved is a good thing too! I never had a problem with the new models, but they all actually improved drastically. And the smaller details on Meggy make her model way better as well. And keeping Bob's was the right decision, he reminds me of play-doh and I love it. This arc I know is gonna be absolutely incredible no matter what Luke and Kevin do with it. The moment that SMG3 is one of the biggest protaganists in more than 3 consecutive episodes is when you know this is serious crap. I think it can go ANYWHERE and I'll be happy. With the trust I have in them I know this will be fun.. even if the movie does end the arc. Good work 👍❤

You gotta appreciate how SMG4 actually listened to the fans about the criticism about the redesigns. Boopkins got a full-on glow-up (even if he kinda looks like a chicken now, lol). Meggy still has the same appearance, just with touched up textures. I also love how we can all unanimously agree that Bob is already perfect and needs no change whatsoever.

I also like how SMG4’s insanity greatly reflects how most artist feel about criticism or haters. Constructive criticism is very important, but if people just down right disrespectfully hate the artist, threaten them, or slander them, then it can lead to them quitting social media life or lose motivation on their passion. I think the SMG4 team does a really good job designing characters. A lot of people don’t appreciate just how difficult it can be to create appealing designs, but SMG4 has done a good job in the past and even BETTER now!

I got to say as well that the new designs are definitely better and much more promising than the ones we got from last year. Even Fishy Boobins new design looks much better and definitely fits his character very well. I like the re-redesigns, the original smg4/3 and boopkins redesigns were lacking some personality. Revamping the meggy model was a good choice too, I think. Her older model would kind of clash with the new, more stylized models the other re-revampees got. All around, looks great! We all really appreciate the work you guys have done on the smg4 channel and I do hope the "gotta be perfect" arc doesn't reflect how you guys are feeling about working on the channel right now. If it is though, I'm sure all the Real Ones (TM) that watch this channel wouldn't be bothered by a mental health break.
Apparently, I saw a video saying how in the Mar10 Day episode on how SMG4 was pissed felt more like he was talking to the viewers on his videos. And I agree 100% on this theory because of the new re-designs.
@@Cippois1 I didn't see that video, but I got the same vibe after this video and the Mar10 day one. I wasn't particularly bothered by the original redesigns (except maybe boopkins), but it didn't really feel like they had their own unique SMG4 style. I know it really hurts to see your fans get disappointed by something you made and maybe the criticisms of the redesigns hurt a little too much which I hope wasn't the intention of any commenters who pointed it out. I just think that if you were new to the SMG4 universe I think it would be too easy to confuse the redesigned SMG3/4 with each other. I think the re-redesign definitely makes them distinguishable and I think their facial expressions and emoting will look great given what we've seen from the new models/rigs already. And the original resdesign for boopkins was kind of just a squished orb with stubby arms and legs with some blue spikes on top which, especially compared to jub jub who is quite similar to that description and who we love, lacked a lot of the personality that the character itself has to offer. Boopkins definitely got the biggest upgrade, SMG3/4 didn't need much of a change but I think what we got was a great decision and it turned out excellently.

I personally think that Meggy’s new minor appearance change looks really good and am in love with her new design change! The animation looks so nice with her design too! Boopkins looks better than previously now, and to be honest, he actually just looked like a ball of playdough, I didn’t like it either and I actually agree with SMG3 on some of the parts of this video and Boopkins.

I want to say thank you. This actually means a lot more to me than most might think. By the time WOTFI 2022 rolled around, I had already been falling off this channel for a while, mostly tuning in only for major events. When I saw the character redesigns I thought that would be the final nail in the coffin and that my time with this channel had come to an end. This wasn’t because of the redesigns or the quality of the content, I just felt I had outgrown SMG4. However, now that I’ve seen that you’re willing to change something you worked hard on simply because it didn’t satisfy the fans, as well as a really interesting teaser, I can say I’ve been brought back in. This channel has served as a huge inspiration for me in the past and present, and now I know it will remain that way for the future. Thanks again to Kevin, Luke, and the whole team!

I really like the re-redesigns. I think all came out well. The only character I want to have a redesign would be Tari and Belle, but it's only cause their models are a bit old, and Belle has a really big head

Same here, smg3’s redesign is ok, no offense to boopkins but…. He is more cursed than before, meggy’s is definitely good, but once I saw all of them I initially had a strong feeling of cringe to this. I love their content and everything but that livestream going to this was different to say the least and unexpected. I say this a good criticism, not to bring hate towards smg4 since I still think that what he does for content is really good and still really funny.

Love the design philosophy behind the new Boopkins; instead of toning down the elements that made him resemble the Nintendo model, those details have been pushed to the extreme, making his model more detailed than the original instead of less. Also like the revised Meggy in how it better matches the art-style of the Saiko's redesign (the smoother facial structure, the darker outlines around the eyes, etc.)

I had a feeling something was up as soon as I noticed SMG4's hat looking different on the livestream. But dang, even if it's small details being changed, they really enhance the models. Big fan of the pie eyes.

Originally I did not have a problem with fishy boopkins new design, but looking at the new model it’s definitely an improvement. I did not notice at first how much detail was lost in the transition between models. Now this new model looks even more detailed and just looks so much better. Still have to get used to it a little.
The other three just seem to have little adjustments done to them, but it makes them look so good. Overall great redesign.
Man, SMG4 is being kinda hated for doing "perfection" but can we at least appreciate how much work SMG4 does in real life and in the series of the "it's gotta be perfect " arc. Good job man

In 11 years smg4 has changed a lot getting better and better, both in the story telling and visual graphic. The whole team as grown so much , and I think that this is just the begging of something incredible amazing and terrifying at the same time

I like how this was a lead up to the design upgrade but then left us on a cliffhanger. SMG4 and crew really love presentation. Also, my theory is that SMG4 wanted to make the best present for MAR10 Day, but look at the toll it takes.

Loving SMG3 as one of the main protagonists, it’s nice to see more smg3 after the cosmology arc.
Smg3 makes a better host then SMG4
Guy looks more better than smg4. They could've at least added a moustache for the smg4 redesign like giving it more personality and a little nod to the original design
For the SMGs redesigns: I don’t see too much change (other than SMG3’s extra details, but the model still looks mostly the same), but tbh, I actually got used to their newer designs anyway.
Boopkins redesign: much better, definitely the one that needed an reupgrade.
Meggy’s upgrade: I say upgrade instead of redesign because she doesn’t look too different, but the HD style upgrade to her model does make the model look a little better.
If Tari does get an upgraded model, simple: Meta runner look. You’ve already got an alternate skin essentially right there.
Also interested to see what’ll happen on Saturday.
I always make the joke of "if someone wants Tari to have the Meta Runner design, then we just kill off Tari altogether, because that's basically all we need to do."

I love the new character design
Firstly, major props to SMG4 and the crew. Making this content for over 10 years now and constantly trying their best. I respect it. And secondly, the redesigns are fire I like em better than the other ones honestly and Boopkins really got an upgrade. And seeing meggy’s model improved is a good thing too! I’m glad that the fans had been listened too and it’s cool to see more detail in the models

I never had a problem with the new models, but they all actually improved drastically. And the smaller details on Meggy make her model way better as well. And keeping Bob's was the right decision, he reminds me of play-doh and I love it. This arc I know is gonna be absolutely incredible no matter what Luke and Kevin do with it. The moment that SMG3 is one of the biggest protaganists in more than 3 consecutive episodes is when you know this is serious crap. I think it can go ANYWHERE and I'll be happy. With the trust I have in them I know this will be fun.. even if the movie does end the arc. Good work 👍❤

My thoughts on some of these newer looks:
SMG4 - Literally a graphic upgrade, you still need facial hair my guy
SMG3 - Ngl, he kinda looks hot… 😳
Fishy Boopkins - Hey, not half bad, though I feel like it would still need some work
Meggy - RTX has been turned on and I love it!
The Boopkins re-redesign is definitely gonna take some time to get used to, but I think I'm gonna love it soon enough.
