- Hello Friends, more noise coming from my Bat Cave. This time it's the Proco FAT RAT distortion pedal. I've owned a regular Proco Rat pedal for a while. This pedal seemed like it would be fun to play through so I purchased one. I like the fact that it can adjusted for a touch of heat or go thermal-nutz for ya. I think this one is a very good find. Rock on everyone!

Hello my friend, thank you for checking out my noise. Yeah, the PROCO FAT RAT is so much fun to play through. I don't usually go for the doom sound but it's there if you need it. Of course, the sound each person gets also depends on they amp and guitar they are using. So, please keep your music rolling and play often! rock on.

Hello Keith, thank you for the kind words. Pedals and gadgets can be a lot of fun. I don't go nuts with that stuff on a live show but plugging in a bunch of strange stuff at home is fine. Everyone has certain needs to create their own sound. Miles Davis would tell you to create your own signature sound and roll with it. Of course, we all learn from a variety of sources. We just have to put our own soul into what we want to do. So, rock steady and stay healthy. The would needs more good musicians! peace.

Hey Riley, Thank you for the kind words. Enthusiasm? hahaha. I'm more likely to be in the school of 'hard headedness' . hahaha. I hope that your music is good in 2023. Buying the FAT RAT was an impulse purchase but it was cool. I was in Chicago at the Chicago Music Exchange. Wow. What a place. Loaded with so many guitars, amps and gear. I had to hold myself back from buying something that wasn't in my budget, but I had to get something. I purchased the FAT RAT and a guitar strap. That made me feel better. CME is a great store. Not contaminated by investment sharks. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The cleanliness of the store was cool, not sterile. I live in the Detroit area. Getting over to Chicago is easy and fun. In the meantime. please play your music as often as you can. EARTH NEEDS MUSIC!!! so, rock on!!!

Oh.... my fake Gilmore Strat is doing well. I put the SchnorBerg pickups in it so it's been great. SchnorBerg is made by a personal friend of mine. He likes to do small custom projects. Glad to see you with the new equipment! Gibson with FatRat sounds amazing! Last time I am working with my vintage stuff, but maybe I will get it too. For now I am using Heavy Metal pedal with Corg processor. But maybe its time to replace something. The main problem is my addiction to weapons, but I have 9 guitars, and all them I love. Hey Siegfried !!!! It's good to hear from you. It's still cold in Detroit. Our winters are a little like Siberia. hahaha. In the meantime, I'm hanging out down in my Bat Cave, staying warm and playing a little music. I think that everyone goes through the 'pedal' stage in their life. haha. I don't take a bunch of pedals to my gigs. usually just the wah-wah and one overdrive pedal. I use a Eventide H9 for effects. I keep it simple because we play at places with terrible acoustics. So, no need to add reverb. Are you still working with that music project from last year? That was some great stuff my brother. Well, Detroit is going to thaw out sometime soon I hope. Lots of festivals in Michigan. My band did not get booked at any of them but that's the way it goes. I still like playing guitar so I'm happy with that. Hang tough my friend. Keep playing!! peace.

Hahhahaha. THANK YOU for checking out my channel. I think I'm more like 'chitlin' king than a BB K type. hahaha. This RAT pedal is kind of nasty and I love it. It's not the nastiest but it can put that 'stank' on your sound when you need it. I hope that all of your music is going good in 2023. Never stop playing your music my friend. ROCK ON!!! peace.
