The problem I have with those pants is they just scream “my grandkids are my joy”. Or “Me and the wife moved to Florida when I retired 15 years ago.” Idk...
I have the same problem when I’m trying to pee. I just can’t seem to get it out a breakaway Zipper would be great. Add that to your design and you have got yourself a deal.
I like this Jay guy. He seems very sincere. I just watched the video on his site, and the biggest advantage here is that you can put your hand on the gun without looking suspicous. Then only draw if you need to. You can't do that with waist carry.
Definitely a step in the right direction. Pleated slacks are a bit dated, but it's good to see more attempts are being made to accommodate to traditional business professional attire. Is it perfect? No. But it's definitely progress. It means the market is listening.
I just got mine today and they're so comfortable, almost like the weapon isn't even there. Easy to sit, no adjusting. I got the shorts and they're quality material. The skintight holster stays in place when I draw. There's no way I can appendix carry because of my gut. 3 -4 o'clock are uncomfortable as well especially sitting. And usually prints big time. These shorts solve all those issues. I'll be getting more in different colors! Thanks Jay for a great solution for the big guys! 🙏🏻
I know a guy that wore one of several different CCW Breakaways every day. I knew where to look and I could not tell he was carrying. Very covert. Very convenient. I bought two pairs.
I've had very positive experiences with the CCW Breakaways company and Jay. It's awesome to have a Kydex pocket holster option for firearm models that don't get the love they deserve from other pocket holster companies.
REALLY innovative - a great start! Wish I'd seen someone walking with a few pounds of steel in that draw pocket. My guess is that a standard stride will bounce that firearm pretty good. Even if it doesnt print, it might draw attention to the obviously big heavy thing in that pocket. Running would be even worse and most emergencies involve a bit of running.
I don't pocket carry anymore but that magazine holder looks great. Every try drawing a mag from the pocket to reload? Sure you can put it in with the baseplate facing up but it wont stay that way when you start walking around.
Might have a solution for you..take a belt clip off of one of your old holsters, glue 1-2 Strong magnets onto it. Attach your mag magnetically, clip it onto your belt in any position you want so that mag is inside the waistband (much like the firearm would be). I do this with a mag for a subcompact 9mm, holds in place all day, very concealed, and very easy to draw out. Comfortability will vary depending on the size of your mag of course.
Idk, my hooked kydex pocket holster does all 3 of the holster criteria. It keeps the gun pointed upright, and the hook snags on my pocket everytime and falls off to the floor to get the gun free. I can put my hand in my pocket and have a perfect firing grip right away. My worst fear with pocket carry is the holster not dropping free, or that my pants will be pulled too tight to get my hand in. Drawing up and backwards remedies the first concern almost entirely. The second concern isn't really addressed with this setup because it comes with the territory of all pocket carry setups. Yes, pocket carry is a compromise. In my case, I live in Southern AZ and I sweat a lot from the heat. Anything over 75* gets me sweating. Waist holsters all get sticky wet and irritate my skin. I would be really tempted to not carry 24/7/365 if I couldn't use my pocket. I carry either a Sig P238 with extended mag for 7+1, or a Ruger LC9S with standard mag for 7+1. It works wonderfully for me. In the winter, I'll carry my Glock 19 OWB under a light coat in addition to my pocket gun. No sweat in winter and a coat hides every handgun you can possibly carry. 😄 I love innovation and new products. It's great to have options and this appeals to many people. The mag pouch is the real attraction for me.
I pocket carry the Beretta APX centurion. I use an AlienGear shell, Raw Dog leather back trimmed as close to the gun as i could go, then cut down the kydex belt loop to look like a hook and attached it to the retention screws of the holster are so it can hook into the pocket. I also only wear Wrangler cargo pants so they already have huge pockets. As it is now the mag shows about an inch out of the pocket but it's a work in progress. I just cover it with my shirt and i still feel better about it than what i was doing before which was 4 o'clock. I'm not even going to consider appendix because i like having my "member" only having 1 hole in it. I've never had a nd but if i ever do I'll be a fully functioning male. That's for sure.
The reason I pocket carry is because some of my shirts are too short. I worry that reaching up will reveal an appendix firearm. If I was gonna buy a new wardrobe, I'd buy more shirts, not pants.

They do have some commentary on the website about how to tailor for a more tapered leg, which I appreciate. I'm assuming the pleated front is necessary for the draw, but I do feel like a flat front would provide a cleaner look. The denim looks like an ok mid-wash. All in all, this seems to be one of the better attempts at discreet carry pants that I've seen. The fact that they advocate the Saf-T Block is a little off-putting to me, but all in all it feels like a step in the right direction. It means the market is understanding that not all of us can live in 5.11 and Crye
