Cloward H20 Glenwood Hot Springs

The owners of Glenwood Hot Springs wanted to update their resort into something that fitted in with the setting of the geothermal springs around Glenwood but also attracted the modern traveler. CLOWARD H2O, along with DHM Design, were tasked to bring new life and excitement to this historic wellness resort that has been in operation for more than a hundred years. Taking inspiration from the Colorado river, a white-water river experience was then purposed for Glenwood Hot Springs by CLOWARD H2O. CLOWARD H2O designed a downhill rapids river for the project that utilized nature’s gravitational force. Taking advantage of the slope in the Northwest corner of the property the river is full of twists and turns, for an exciting Colorado whitewater experience. Younger audiences have fun splashing around in Hanging Lake: a wade-in pool fed by a waterfall, as well as a fountain and spray pad that is a show piece at night.
