Effect of Latrunculin A on actin

Source: Weiwei Luo, Mechanobiology Institute, Singapore. Fibroblast cell devoid of myosin IIA and over-expressing EGFP- lifeact was treated with 400-800nM Latrunculin A. The actin filaments are seen to shorten upon the drug treatment and at times form aggregates. When Latrunculin is washed out, the actin network is restored in the cell.
