This is a great project, printed the mk1 and and controlled it with a Raspberry Pi Pico, my neighbour and I took it to a couple of scout troops so they could try a bit of programming, many thanks for sharing. Will definitely be having a go with this one!! ❤

Probably this is the most beautiful mini robot on UA-cam.
I made the first model for children.
My 3D printer is not so good and the model did not work out well.
But my horizontal-milling boring makes a very accurate hole.
I can change the model and milling and boring the right places.
And can you share your 3D model cad?
Your version MK3 by far the easiest for me. Fits perfectly within my budget and parts readily available here. Going to attempt to build it, hopefully the coding (newbie) not that difficult to wrap my head around. Thank you

did you use the standard GRBL firmware for arduino or go you directly have your own code in arduino to drive the stepper motors ?

I will make this fantastic robot arm, too. But why you doesn`t use the original three ULN2003-Boards? Does the Arduino UNO doesn`t have enough PINS for them?
There is enough PINS for mk3 in arduino uno.... 2,3,4,5 - 6,7,8,9 and 10,11,12,13...
My steppers run hot and strip the gear key. How can I keep my steppers cooler? I'm running them at 12v should I drop the voltage?
What driver are you using? I think you should drop the current. It's probably runinng with a higher current than recommended. Verify the model of you're motor and search for its datasheet for more information about it.
