One thing I absolutely love about horology is the collision of beauty, expression, precision, and history; simultaneously connecting past, present and future.

I almost literally never comment on ANYTHING on UA-cam. I preface with that to apply emphasis to the magnitude of my respect and admiration for the production of this video.

I've always felt that the goal of educating anyone about anything is to get them inspired enough so they'll want to discover more about it on their own.
In this case, it's mission accomplished.

A absolute jewel of a documentary.
Imagine a time when you used your pulse as a standard to measure something else by, instead of the other way around. And then all they way up to the thousandths-of-a-second atomic clock. And in the intervening hundreds of years, the same shapes--the balance wheel, the pallet fork, the mainspring in its barrel--were all there, in different sizes, made of different materials, doing the same job, using the same principle.
It couldn't have been illustrated better. Thanks, Oisín.

You just keep producing better and better videos. The way you make use of history, art, culture, music, science, architecture, scenery, food, drink etc and wrap it all in a watch or time related theme is absolutely incredible and so compelling. Terrific video, Oisin ! ....It is really amazing to reflect on how your watch channel has evolved over these few years into a channel very often about watches, yes...but also so much more: cultural, historical, scientific, musical and even philosophical elements are often mixed into the equation. The photography is worthy of awards, in my humble opinion.
These added layers make your channel quite unique, highly entertaining... and actually "timeless".
Someone watching these videos 10, 15 or 20 years later will certainly be as entertained as we are now.
Not a bad legacy to add to your achievements as a musician and producer. Nice job.
