- Princess Diana Wedaga Ayongo says that “the northern part of Ghana is undoubtedly a very beautiful place with its unique cultural heritage.” Drums are performed during many events in Northern Ghana. In this episode, Wedaga introduces you to drums that is perform during the funerals of people who have lived lives worthy of emulation. Drummers usually ascends the “vɔŋɔ’ in kasem or “gozigo” in Nankani, and drum to the hearing of communities far and near in honour of the deceased.
