My Finn!!! My FurFur!!! 😂😂 I cracked up when you said you almost run into people! I bet that was so different for you brother!! I know it was awesome though!
Oh there were so many ridiculous moments! Driving Maud was a very different experience as she was much more powerful and it took me a while to get the hang of not crashing into poor people!! We had such a wonderful time, it really surpassed every single Glastonbury!
This is really helpful to see because I’ve not been able to think about going to Glastonbury again since my last one back in 2008/9 because of my disability and not sure how I’d do it again especially on my own so thinking maybe when I have a van again and a scooter that can handle the terrain! Xx 😊 the new normal 😎✨
This looks amazing! I'm happy you're showing how to navigate with disabilities, and knowing they even accommodate in the first place! With the heat, I don't think I would have survived the wait in queue though YIKES! I can't wait to see more of your smiling faces and the fun stuff you got to do 🤩👍😃🎉🦄
Hello lovely man! Yes the heat was one of the biggest issues but I went prepared with plenty of water , electrolytes and a fan! I'm looking forward to sharing more!
@@FinnTheInfinncible I wish I could help with the heat, up here in Minnesota we hit record highs for the past week as well! If I had cooler air I'd send some your way 😁
Awesome that you can go to your fave Glastonbury again this year and that you’re sharing it with Chris 🥰 I’ve been following you since just before you went to Glastonbury in 2019 and I was so thrilled that you were seeing our little Aussie wonder Kylie 💗💗💗 This year I’m so jealous you got to see legend of legends Sir Paul McCartney 🤩 Tell me about the John Peel tent - he’s so cool 😎 and the awesome unicorn on a stick lol 😝 🦄
Ah how wonderful that you've been travelling with me for so long! To be able to return despite being chronically ill was amazing, but to be able to return with Chris, well that was just blooming wonderful! Seeing Paul McCartney was out of this world! I'm just editing Fridays Glasto footage now so you should have that by tommoro eve! Oh and John Peel.....problematic now. He did such amazing things for music, but is yet another one who abused his power and took advantage of vulnerable people. I think they will be renaming the stage soon. In better news....unicorn on a stick!!! I saw lots of people with these inflatables, so next year I think I shall get a whole zoo for the scooter 🤣🤣
OMG 😱 I didn’t know about John Peel else I wouldn’t have mentioned him (I’ll have to google it), all I know are the John Peel sessions albums of so many of my fave 80s artists but from your comment now I feel sick 🤮 😡
I’ve just read his Wiki page - Why why why why do people do that??? Sick sick sick 😡🤬 I honestly don’t remember hearing anything about that here in Australia because I would never have mentioned him in my comment if I knew - I’m so sorry Finn 😣
@@jennya2439 no need to say sorry, you didn't know! It's awfu isn't it. So many of the greats we grew up with and loved are now forever tainted by the atrocities they've committed.
Thanks Finn 🙏 yes it’s terrible and very sad and very wrong. I’m older than you (56yrs) so the 80s was my peak party time lol 😝. It really is atrocious my poor late Mum went to teachers college here in Perth with Rolf Harris and was very shocked and disillusioned when he was charged/jailed for abuse. John Peel’s Wiki said he was raped by an older boy at boarding school - that’s no excuse but seems to be a consistent occurrence with paedophiles, sexual offenders, serial killers etc. (though some are born predators. - as a society we need be more open about abuse so that victims feel they can speak up and we need to do more to support and care for young victims to break the horrific circle. But as you said - it makes me wonder why they still have the John Peel tent at Glastonbury???
Oh wow that would be hard good on you for being able to handle it and happy happy birthday to Furr Furr 🥳🥳🥳. I spent my birthday 4 years ago in hospital with my Dad, sitting by his bedside knowing he was dying so my birthday has never been the same since, though this year wasn’t as bad. I’m doing pretty good thanks ☺️ I was homeless for a month or so earlier this year as we’re having a rental crisis but I found a lovely share home and I’ve settled in really well after living alone for more than 20 years, it’s actually been a lot better than I expected (like you I have depression/anxiety)
Oh that's a hard birthday to overcome. It takes time doesn't it? I'm so glad you've found the house share positive, I can understand the challenge that must have posted with anxiety!
I love chris hat! (BTW my wife's name is Chris🙂) Companion passes are so lovely aren't they? I don't know that I could get out nearly as much as I do with out them. Maud is amazing, the unicorn is so fitting! Thanks for sharing the festival with us
Ah Chris's are the best in any version!!! And oh my goodness, it's incredible that Glastonbury offer this option, there is no way I could have managed to go without having Chris as my PA. I look forward to sharing the rest of these with you!
Hey! I also have ME, I attended glasto this year and it nearly killed me! How did you find hiring the mobility scooter? How did you charge it? I have tickets for next year but I’m really worried about all the walking again! I ended up missing out on so much this year bc I just was not well enough to go to places! Also, random but you were sat right next to my car at the 5:21 mark, small world! ❤
Was I really! That's so funny! And yes it wore me out too! We loved it, I'm glad I got to go back despite having ME, but I've decided not to return this year, the paypack was just too much! We are doing a smaller festivals instead. The mobility scooter hire was fantastic. You can hire direct from event mobility. You just put it in their lock up overnight and they charge it for you. Or, if you take your own scooter, you ask for a pitch with electric hook up
Yayyyyy! And oh my god emoji tastic!!!!!!! LOVE that now I finally am getting videos up you get to use these! And yes, no words for how being back there felt! I waffle on about it in the next 5 videos
21 is a great age to start with going to festivals. Gives you at least 40 years of partying to come. 'cause once you went to one it definitely won't be your last. 😄
We didn't find it cold at night at all but we did also have a camp bed so we were sleeping off the floor which helped. Making sure to carry around a warm jumper for when the sun goes down is a good idea though. I noticed the difference because I was sat on a mobility scooter this year. The campsite is lovely and chilled out and safe. But still of course be careful .
@@geekafreak happy to help. The accessibility team and campsite team were amazing, no way I could have managed the festival without them. The folks that stay on camp and use the platforms are a fab community, I had an absolute ball and I'm so glad I did it, it did my mental health the power of good! Done slowly and managing expectations it's doable!
