It was the OG cast in the crowd that helped make it feel so special, I could feel the crowd following their lead. I was too shy to cheer for every part I wanted (Stop the World in particular, highly underrated), but as soon as I heard them start I went wild with them BECAUSE THEY DESERVE IT
I'm blubbing!!! Thank you so much for capturing this incredibly special experience for those of us who were not able to be there. And yes, hopefully it will return to the West End in this sensational version of the show. And I just got to say how I LOVED them mentioning the tech's - by name - who couldn't make it to the stage at the end. It is indeed a cruel world where we say farewell to Come From Away and Mary Poppins within 24 hours.
I was there last night with a friend. We were expecting it to be a good night, but it surpassed all our expectations and then some. The audience atmosphere was like nothing I have experienced before. I am beyond grateful that we got to be part of such a amazing evening of live theatre. 💛💙🌎
Alice was just next level during MATS and 28 Planes (Reprise). Jenna has been optioning up Titanic all week and it is perfect. Robert's voice cracking when Nick says "all good things, right?" broke me down into a million tiny pieces. This cast are so perfect, this show is perfect. I am honoured to have seen them 31 times. I can't wait to go on tour.
Thank you for sharing . There is something about this musical that just hits differently , it never fails to bring me to tears . Can't wait for the tour !
I'm glad we have a filmed version of the show when so many never get that chance. I was never able to see the show in person & for the sake of my emotional state I'm glad I can just cry at home instead.
I live in Atlantic Canada. One of the provinces I have never been to is Newfoundland but proud of the fact that we (Canadians) and mostly the people of Gander, Gambo, St. John's and the rest of the province are being recognized for their generosity.
I am so grateful you made this video! I feel as you all do about the show. I have been in love with it for years. I live in Oregon so don't get to Broadway often. I am a big fan of Jenn Colella's. I have 14 special Cameo videos from her that got me through Covid. I didn't want to fly to NYC to see the show without her so I got a touring ticket but it was cancelled due to Covid. I did fly to NYC to see her in Suffs (Which I believe will be on Broadway soon!!). Then I saw she was coming back to be in CFA during the summer. I flew out for that! I was there only one day and saw the matinee and evening performances. For the first performance, I had to pinch myself to know I was actually seeing it and not the movie! Had I known she would also come back for the final show, I would have done that! My budget couldn't afford another tirp!! I cried just watching this video and knowing it would be gone. I went into a depression after it left Broadway!! Luckily I can watch the movie as much as I want! I totally related to Ellie's reaction. I felt Broadway is still missing something special because it is gone. One good thing, I am a big animal person and I am thrilled The Life of Pi will be playing in the Schoenfield Theatre where CFA was!
I am french and I am a big fan of musical theatre. We came to London last year with one of my best friends and did a musical marathon during our three days stay. The three musicals I saw during this trip were my first ever onstage musicals! And Come from away was one of them. It was an amazing and emotional moment that will forever hold a special place in my heart ! I love this show so much. Thank you for sharing the closing with us. ❤
Was there last night with my family, my partner, and one of my best friends - what a special, special night. I sobbed through most of it!! Thanks so much for such a great video to help me remember & relive it all!
That room yesterday was something else. It was so electric, it was so fun, it was so sad. Probably one of the best theatre going experience i've ever had cause there was so much love for this Show in the room. When the show was starting and closing and we said no! And Stop the World really broke me And Beverly Bass sat one seat away from me and i was too stunned to speak.
I went to the final Broadway show, and we also clapped at the end of Me and the Sky. We also cheered/clapped every time someone had their first line, for the end of most songs, and for a lot of the best lines and jokes. It was so bittersweet to be there. Best and worst Broadway experience i ever had, LOL.
It’s my very stagey daughter’s 13th Birthday- she thinks she’s jinxed all the shows as they all seem to be finishing on her birthday 😢. Looking forward to the tour of Come From Away. Thanks, as always, for taking us along!
I just watched the HD of this show last night knowing nothing about it. It was amazing. So naturally I'm now in a youtube rabbit hole watching all the videos of.
I've been here for 15 minutes smiling and sobbing at the same time. It's so emotional and I can't wait for the tour because I reeeeaaaaally want to see it again.
Loved that I got to see this in December, so sad that they have closed. When I saw it we had a few standbys playing Kevin J, Janice, Bob, Buela. They were all amazing and wonderful. 100% seeing it when it tours!!!
So glad I managed to grab a ticket for the last Friday and matinee shows, it was so special 💙 so sad that the London show has closed, and even though I’ll definitely be there for the tour, I love this cast and have loved getting to see all their little quirks. I noticed the animal noises for the first time too! 😂 thanks for sharing these clips of the final speeches 😊
What an experience, I feel so lucky to have gone to this! Massive thanks to All That Dazzles (Daz) as their announcement of the final show date is the reason we managed to get tickets
Saw it on broadway in july before it closed, 7 or 8 out of 12 of the cast were the ones I knew from the proshot, and now i'm seeing it on tour in a month. It's a great show and I can't wait.
So glad I got to meet you briefly last night outside the theatre before the show started … big fan of your videos ! Was such a beautiful and emotional day. x
I love this show so much. Will definitely see it again when it tours. So glad my stagey friend Megan suggested we watch it - I never would've even thought to watch it otherwise, and it's my favourite show I've seen in years.
I saw this show during its pre-Broadway run in Toronto with the OBC and that is a theatre experience I'll never forget. There was this energy in the theatre like everyone knew they were seeing the beginning of something special, like we were let in on a secret before everyone else was. I was a little worried it would have trouble finding success being so uncynical and optimistic but I am so happy it's found the success it has.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the speeches! I was there for the matinee, which was incredible! The day was made even more special having queued at the box office in the morning to try to get a ticket and I made some wonderful stagey friends in the process! David Hind and various other people came out and had a chat with us all, gave us those awesome goodie bags and timbits! I'm so sad it's over, but so happy to have been there for the final matinee and loitering in the returns queue to try and get in for the evening, which sadly didn't happen. Cannot wait for the tour!
Sounds great. Having been to the closing night of Dear Evan Hansen (beyond incredible), and having also seen Come From Away, congratulations to everyone that had a ticket for final show !
Ellie! Seeing her pop in with Aeron made me so happy. This show sounded absolutely brilliant and I am sad it's closed but really appreciate*edit: it going on tour! (brilliant)
David and the real Beverly was there!!! how lucky. Saw it in Denver 2018, Sacramento Calif Sept 2022 and supposed to usher all 8 shows when it tours Reno Nevada March 2023. Sadly, helping during a family surgery out of town will limit me to just 3 shows. (and of course the apple tv film numerous times) I doubt anything will ever replace this as my #1 favorite musical, tho Wicked is a strong #2.
The other thing with Me and the Sky is that Beverley leaves the stage right after the song. which meant we were all going crazy for Alice (because she is/was AMAZING) and she wasn't on the stage!
Im super grateful this show was recorded on Broadway, Such an incredible show.
Same. What a masterpiece
Meh. It was ok, the cast charming. But deserving fuss. Meh . I am afraid once was enough for this avid theatre goer

I hope to see the show at some point.

I’ve only just seen this video and it brings me back so so so much amazing memories!!! Thank you for recording this special night 😊
Thanks for sharing this. I can confirm that Newfoundland is an absolutely wonderful to visit.
I'm glad we have a filmed version of the show when so many never get that chance. I was never able to see the show in person & for the sake of my emotional state I'm glad I can just cry at home instead.
Yes, please go to Newfoundland! It is a beautiful place with warm people :) And visit the rest of Atlantic Canada while you're at it. ;)

Really hoping they come to Dublin on tour so I can see this show again. I only got to see it once but it was the most incredible show!

This show closing on Broadway and the West End is one of the greatest theatre losses of 2022/2023

Thanks for this video Mickey-Jo. You have made my weekend as I was unable to get down to see the closing
The best show 🙌
Not me crying my little eyes at watching this video. 😭 such a wonderful show and one I always suggested to people who weren’t usually “stagey”
I've been here for 15 minutes smiling and sobbing at the same time. It's so emotional and I can't wait for the tour because I reeeeaaaaally want to see it again.

I loved this show, one of my favourites
My biggest regret not getting around to seeing it. Will definitely be first in queue for tickets for the tour

I saw the Afternoon Matinee! The best day ever!
It was something special and great to meet you in the theatre cafe and see you again today at CFA
Are you still going to do a spoiler review of Matilda?🥺
I was there last Thursday, fourth to last show, it was absolutely incredible
I’m very sad it’s gone but my friend going to be one of the understudies for Noise off which is next show going into that theatre.
I sadly couldn't make it to the final show but it's so lovely to be able to experience it through this video!
Wow what an emotional evening at the rock again! Wish I could’ve been there with you guys for this night 💛💛
Thanks for that. Appreciate you sharing it. Thanks.

So glad CFA won the Olivier - they were robbed of a Tony!
Saw this recently based on your recommendation and loved it!

"yay that we had it here." And so say all of us...
Who was the guy in the photo that was walked on stage?

I liked this show, but I think it would work SO much better in a smaller venue - much more intimate.
It closing time in the west end.
