A friend of mine suggested me listening to this masterpiece. He is younger than me a few years, he taught me French language and he also plays piano passionately. Now he is on the journey of becoming a monk of Carthusian in some monastery on Alps mountains. I know I can't see him anymore but everytime I listen to this piece, it reminds me of him so much ! What a good friend !

Imagine reaching such a height that anything else not only pales in comparison but leaves you empty. I'm always grateful for these masters who went through the hero's journey, suffered through so much pain periods in order to bequeath us with gems such as this

Totally agree! Images and scenes of the film still haunt me. I lived in Rome during the mid 70's to early 80's. Hearing this music I relive the thrill of witnessing the drama and intensity of life in Rome during those times. Wonderful film amazing music.
