Short Track Racing Highlights: Caraway Speedway Challenger Division Twin 20’s (6/29/24)

- The Challengers head into #CarawaySpeedway with a points battle heating up and the season at almost mid way! Will we see a new winner on 6/29/24 or will we see another 2024 repeat winner?
Race 1 Summary: The first race saw track Veteran, Champion, and 2024 winner #70 Gary Ledbetter Sr. & fellow 2024 winner #08 Brody Duggins on the front row. Despite having clutch issues throughout the day the #70 of Ledbetter got off to a great start taking the lead and holding off the field. Lap 16 is when things started going awry as #88 McKyla Spinks would clip the curb in turn 1 sending her around and bringing out the first caution. Lap 17 would see her race 1 end as #25 Christian Henderson would come down on the #88 of Spinks coming out of turn 4 sending her into the inside wall. On the restart on Lap 18 #25 Christian Henderson would lose his roof after a lose body panel caught some wind. Behind him #3 Migel Cesar Jr. and #51 Lucas Cram would come together sending #51 into the wall and out of both races. After clean up it was smooth sailing for #70 Gary Ledbetter Sr. As he collects another win at Caraway!
Race 2 Summary: The second race saw #32 Dalton Ledbetter and #25 Christian Henderson on the front row. #32 Dalton Ledbetter and his father #70 Gary Ledbetter Sr. Tried to make the caution free race the Ledbetter show but #08 Brody Duggins would try his best to spoil the party. In the end #32 Dalton Ledbetter won the race on track however a protest after the race would declare #08 Brody Duggins the winner of race 2.
