My father and I were part of the initial cruise from tarlton into Preston docks (pre all the development works) to make the case for the ribble link. The docks were derelict and access limited. But we did it, and the result was this link. Very proud of my father and the team of people that worked to make this happen.

I don't think it's awesome at all! When you get divorced you are GONE from each other's lives! That's what it means and or should be...yet I have to admit, I know some couples up here in the hills that are divorced and live together. Awww...so cute! Just like me sleeping with my pet Rattlesnake!
Some work better as friends or roommates. I am still friends with all my ex girlfriends except one. If my wife and me break up, i can live in her house but pay rent and help out.

Phew! now that was some trip. Meet some folks from Lancaster last summer. They had arranged to their boat to be taken through the Ribble Link for them, don't know whether it was a paid service or by friends. You've done it, well done all of you.
I've had a yearning the last couple of years and discovered I love boats, but feel being mid forties I missed the boat so to speak :). I started looking for travel and blogs that had anything to do with being afloat. I came came across your Travels by Narrowboat. I got drawn in for sure and like to say thank you for showing that as long as there's a spark a passion can be found. Going to enjoy catching up with your travels and beyond.

I started watching series 1 on Amazon last week. It's addictive. So relaxing to get absorbed in nature and Aslan chugging. We did Whitchurch to Llangollen on holiday when I was a child and I will never forget the aqueduct or the tunnel afterwards! Thank you for some really enjoyable TV.

I think it's wonderful that you and your ex-wife are friendly! My wife and I actually got divorced and remarried again! Been together 18 yrs all together. Regardless of what sort of relationship you have, I believe if you cared enough for a person to marry them, there is or should be room for friendship even if it didn't work out. Of course, there are circumstances that could make it otherwise. Just saying I think it's nice. Really enjoy your channel!

Phew! now that was some trip. Meet some folks from Lancaster last summer. They had arranged to their boat to be taken through the Ribble Link for them, don't know whether it was a paid service or by friends. You've done it, well done all of you.

I've had a yearning the last couple of years and discovered I love boats, but feel being mid forties I missed the boat so to speak :). I started looking for travel and blogs that had anything to do with being afloat. I came came across your Travels by Narrowboat. I got drawn in for sure and like to say thank you for showing that as long as there's a spark a passion can be found. Going to enjoy catching up with your travels and beyond.

I started watching series 1 on Amazon last week. It's addictive. So relaxing to get absorbed in nature and Aslan chugging. We did Whitchurch to Llangollen on holiday when I was a child and I will never forget the aqueduct or the tunnel afterwards! Thank you for some really enjoyable TV.

A really enjoyable video, and I look forard to watching more of your journeys on our wonderful canal system. It was especially interesting to me being a once member of the "Ribble Link Trust" campaign to create that new canal. Never been a boat owner myself, but it brought back good memories of those times and I'm happy to see it being used. Well done lad!

I think it's wonderful that you and your ex-wife are friendly! My wife and I actually got divorced and remarried again! Been together 18 yrs all together. Regardless of what sort of relationship you have, I believe if you cared enough for a person to marry them, there is or should be room for friendship even if it didn't work out. Of course, there are circumstances that could make it otherwise. Just saying I think it's nice. Really enjoy your channel!
