Again I am very impressed by the work that you and Christy do. The 2038 with the 6' tiller did a great job and then to finish and grade with Vinny was perfect. Paul did a great job with editing, it looks like Christy has a good mentor to glean information and tips from. Great work and thanks for doing these for us viewers.

I liked how this video flowed more like a deliberate story. On another great channel I watch, Seth's Bike Hacks, he explains that you tell a story with audio and support the story with video. That's opposite of what a lot of people do. Anyway, I love all your tractor videos. I've learned soooo much from you, and you're why I bought my own 1025r.

    • @TractorTimewithTim
      @TractorTimewithTim  4 роки тому +1

Congrats on the 1025r. We try to focus on the story, but sometimes we just focus on showing ‘what happened’. Many times that is the story itself.
      Thanks for your comment!

Paul did a good job with the video and it was nice to see Christy and Tim working at the same time. I think I'd rather continue to see Tim and Christy do their videos. One thing about UA-cam is that in addition to great content, knowing that a You Tuber shot and edited their own videos give it the personal touch and adds value.

Slo-mo shots were a nice touch. Also seeing husband and wife working together with something that is obviously a shared passion is awesome! The one thing that I'm glad didn't change was the overall feel of the video. Tim and Christy's personality still comes through, and it feels like you are watching/interacting with a life long neighbor or family friend. Great job :) Looking forward to seeing what nuances this experience brings to your clips in future.

When the initial drone shots came in of that lawn all burned up, I nearly fainted. I can only imagine how Paul must have felt initially when he realized he burned the grass. Glad you guys came in and got him fixed up! That's a beautiful wide open expanse, plenty of opportunity to enjoy the mow, bro!

Paul did a fantastic job on the filming and editing. You could definitely "feel" the difference in the camera work and in the editing. It is like replacing your favorite chair. The first time you sit in the new one it feels different. Some things feel better and others don't feel quite right. Not that the feeling is worse or bad, but the familiarity is not there. I loved the graphics and the myriad of different shots. I hope Christy was able to pick his brain and learn from his experience.

Paul did a real nice job, the video seemed more like a documentary and it was cool to see Tim and Christy both running the machines at the same time. That being said I think Christy does a phenomenal job of filming and editing the videos and it seems more like watching friends share their experiences doing these various jobs. As for the yard it does look great, I'm not sure why Paul didn't have you use Vinnie to seed the lawn, to me that would be a no brainer. @Tim, Cristy, and Katriel, sharing my personal opinion only.
I am a subscriber and fan of your UA-cam channel because of the three of you, your words of wisdom, your integrity, and the lessons I learn from your videos.
As a family based UA-cam channel without the mega-budget of a Hollywood studio, I understand you have limited resources you can put into a video.
If you need to make a decision between your traditional editing style with all the wisdom, integrity, and lessons we viewers have come to value, or reducing those things so you can put more of your resources toward fancy production and editing, please keep it the way it is.
As Billy Joel sings, I love you just the way you are.

I don't believe you were trying to sell anything. My thoughts on this are. A lot of the shots in this video were the standard shots that are in most commercials. School trained people learn about what is considered the most informative and appealing shots to sell an item. (Not that this is wrong, I'm sure statistics show they are. Being self taught the 2 of you, bring a different perspective to your videos. A less " canned" (stock) approach. Our brains see the canned approach and relate it to commercials. The TTWT approach as being different. My opinion more personal. Either way both are very good, just different.

I like the opening and closing footage of you coming and going. Like others, the slow motion just added to the production. The moving graphic at the end was a very special touch. It takes a lot of time to edit out these videos and Christy does a great job, but sometimes it takes a different skill set to just make these videos pop. Slow motion, drone shots, talking and even eating cheeseburgers (or pizza) add to the production. Maybe have these moving graphics with the attachments that you use in the making of the video. Sounds like this guy has opened up a lot of extra work for Christy...... Every video that you have produced has been labor of love for all of us..... Better production means more subscribers...... Thank you taking us along......

I have to agree with Brian B about preferring your style of editing. This felt more like an expose of Tractor Time With Tim than a TTWT video. It was like watching your friends on the Six O’clock News versus chatting with them about their day.

I do filming and editing work, so I know how much effort goes into making videos. Christy does a great job. The top and tail shots with the drone was a nice touch. The slo-mo was very nice. The B-roll matched the subject being talked about at that point. The VO parts with customer mixed with Tim and Christy was good as well. The Customer's voice was EQed a bit brighter than Tim / Christy-could've been the room he used for his VO. All in all, it was good.

Do you think our typical audio levels are acceptable? We try to get the peaks just above -6

Tractor Time with Tim Your audio levels sound good from what I hear. Your target of -6db is a good goal to shoot for. Digital is very unforgiving. I say again, Miss Christy does a great job. You're sharing your stories with us and it takes time to squeeeeeze them into good content. If you didn't have good audio.....I wouldn't hang with you.

      Be patient with tomorrow’s episode!
Got so frustrated that we have placed an order for $3300+ of new audio equipment!!
Tired of these mics giving us trouble!!!

The video was very good. I think one of the main difference is more B-roll shots. The drone video was a nice touch. The edit was very much in a documentary style when you have narration from a third party. Id say the only thing that seemed weird is watching two people talk back and forth without cutting back and forth between them. By cutting back and forth is seem more like a personal conversation showing each others reaction. Yes it takes longer to do that unless your using two cameras. Personally i enjoy Christy's style in editing. Keep up the good work

Soil pulverizer does it work well for the price or should one brake the pig bank and get the power rake??? Thanks for the video!

Pulverizer works fine if no sod. It drags up sod pretty badly.

Well done, looks great. Of course I always enjoy your videos, and I’m certainly no critic of video editing. I can’t even edit my IPhone videos. I can appreciate the work that must go into producing your videos. It would be kind of neat to see a “behind the scenes” video to see the process of actually editing. I’ve heard it is quite a job to do. Of course you’d have to edit that also! 😉. Mother’s Day blessings to Christy!
