- For anyone looking for FREE THINGS TO DO AND PLACES TO SEE IN ATHENS, GREECE, I would highly recommend the MARS and FILOPAPPOU hills. Both hills are very close to each other and are perfect for WALKS, CITY VIEWS and SUNSETS.
MARS HILL also known as Areopagus Hill once served as the High Court of appeal for judicial cases in Ancient Greece.
FILOPAPPOU HILL is another hill rich in history. On there you will find ruins of ancient cities, monuments and a lot of olive trees.
