Sometimes you make more money by not moving. Wear and tear, fuel and the chance of an accident are all avoided if rates are below your cost.

Hey Smitty. I not only love your vids I love your love for your dogs.
I'm not a trucker but I was a long distance bus operator. I traveled in and out of most of the states you post in and out of but carried precious cargo, humans.
I started when I lived in Massachusetts and carried mostly seniors across country on anywhere from 2 day to 6 week trips.
Back then we had no GPS and I had to use maps. Imagine that, maps lol.
I did it for about 10 years then went to line runs.
Even with my precious cargo I still got tired after awhile and was very tired of being away from home.
Would I ever give up those days? Not a chance. 46 states, hundreds of cities thousands of wonderful people, many whom I still remember today, 30 years later.
You remind me of me, personality wise and love for animals.

Same problem herein California with the lumber. I even had a clerk step up and tell me I cannot sort the lumber, he won’t do that again I don’t think. I told HIM to sort and what to look out for. He wasn’t happy. This is the same store that ran out of sacks of concrete on the aisle. They told me they would get some more down with the fork lift, waited 15 minutes, no fork lift. Wandered around and found a bundled order going out the next day with about 20 bags. I tore the plastic wrap off and helped myself to the bags of concrete, told the clerk on my way out to replace them on the order when they get the pallet down off the top shelf. He was a little pissed. I did not care!
Seems a though things change when you replace the word “we” with the word “you” in regards to the purchase of the tux. LOL Stay safe!
You take the same approach to landscaping that my husband does. That's why I just spent the last two hours weeding my large front bed. If you get the weed centered, it's just going to grow the other direction. You make a good compactor. God bless.

Stop with the gardening. My mowers in the shop and I have withdrawal symptoms because I can't stripe the lawn. lol

I've been riding with you for a while now, but today I lost it, when you where going from I-65 to Iowa. I drove for a few years, I owned my own and drive for a company. I had to load in Chicago with a dry box for General Mills. I never went to Chicago if I did not have too. Sending you a e-mail for a good route. Going from I 65 to west
I like beards, gray hair does its own thing specially when is windy, the shorter the more manageable
I'm sure you may have seen it, cardboard that piles up taking space can be hosed down and gets very tiny and easy to handle and fold down and dispose into the recycling bin

When we were first married and had a nice sized yard. I planted vegetables towards the back of the yard .
My husband was cutting the grass he went over everything and destroyed my plants I was quite upset

A few years back….during January-February it was minus 30 to minus 40 like everyday. So I parked my truck and trailer….left it idling refilled said truck several times never moved further than that. Shop where I parked never left the truckstop (they did not need to-they were busy just fixing jelled up trucks and jumpstarts). Weather finally broke I went back to work. Best not working idea I’ve had in a loooong time.

Or you and wife could have a yard like my dad Hw has stone and flowers front and back but he put in his deck was all brick. An rest has flowers over the rest of the yard.

Yep I understand the flowerbed deal. I am the same way only it is ornaments and those stupid curled things that hold bird feeders. We have trees to put feeders in but no we need those post for me to mow around. Oh well such is life. Enjoy your work week lol. Tell those kids to be safe after prom and have a great time. Land scape timbers and lumber in general, it is VERY hard to find average quality lumber anywhere! And stupid price too.

Its that time of the year mowing, trimming, sewing grass seed and hang in there it will get better for you soon
You guys don’t have subterranean termites do you? Our termite and bug guy said leave a clear zone so you can see foundation cement so you can easily inspect when you want. (And when they want) We put a spacer to keep dirt off cement and house/garage/ shed etc. we have to clear it out now and then because skunks, loose cats etc will root around planters and kick dirt and bark over the barrier.
Mite want to rethink having that dirt up against the siding of the garage, it will damage it over time.
Careful with those e-bikes - battery fires are an issue

HA ! You mentioned Maynard's for nasty stick ! Used to haul bunks of cheep stick for the Eau Claire DC way back in the mid 90's-picked them up in some pretty sketchy-for the day anyway-in railyards in & around Chicago. Bunks sitting in puddles, etc.

Many many moons ago, I remember my one of my Proms. I think it was the senior prom. I rented a light blue jacket and black pants and all the trim. I was sharp that night. Shoes shined so you could see your face in them. Kids don't know how to shine shoes these day. They look stupid wearing tennis shoe with a Tux. Later on that evening while dancing on the big dance floor with a huge crowd, I made a wrong move and split the A out of my pants. The rest of the evening I had my jacket tied around my waste. So, no matter how the tux looks, most likely is it old as hell and been used many many times. lol

Coke and aluminum foil will clean your rusty chrome without scratching. Just crunch up the foil and dip it in the cola and rub away the rust

Whoever installed the siding on the garage put it on backwards. When you look at it the seems all show. Started in front overlapped back. If they started in back and overlapped to the front the seems wouldn't be visible from the house. Not hatin, just Staten..
