Thank goodness my dad got me ps1 and showed me this car specifically. Such a hidden gem, I barely know about cars and bring this beast up and almost no one ever knows what I’m talking about.
Crazy! My dad got me that game, and would tell me about how insane this car was, he even got me a folder with the car on it for school 😂😂 This insane piece of machinery will always be the reason to push myself forward in life, BECAUSE I NEED MY OWN
The styling is very unique on this car. Not many cars these days have the "wedge," styling anymore. The engine also sounds unique. It isn't a smooth sounding V12 like most V12s of today, but a raspy, bold sound.
I really like the sound of those 12 cilinders, when the video is in 06:19 you can hear clearely how the revolutions rises, he might be in 3rd and at 60 or 70kmh at the beguining and then just accelerate, but if only mr. Needell shut his mouth for some seconds we could hear the lovely sound of those revo
yes lister storm was one of the biggest supercars... it was bigger and wider than a lambo... and features a 7 litre jaguar v12... means its the largest v12 to be fitted in a car
i saw this exact car at Croft, it was in the pit garage with its backend off, and when they started it, it turned my pants brown !! and NUFC - - - Toooon Army !!
yup worked on and driven one of those. but only the 7litre v12 twin supercharged one.very impressive .the guy who owned it took me out for a spin in it ,what a cool guy:-) flames came out of the exhausts just moving it around the workshop at tick over LOL!! was just a lad at the time ,but had read up on it b4 it came to our work,so the guy was impressed someone know all about the specs.
No. It ran a small handful of FIA GT races in 2005, and one in 2006, and it was hopelessly off the pace. Its best years were 2000-2003, and '98-'99 for the nicer-looking Storm GTL. The car in this video is from the 2000 season, although Tiff didn't race it very often. I saw him win at Donington that year, though, in the wet.
Yeap. It was a real "dinosaur" of 90's it was even old then, it was BIG and less power then Viper's that where comming, Ferraris .... and it was STILL WINNING till 2005 .... that is real GT LEGEND car :-)
@kareemcool2007 In GTR and GTR2 ... I race ONLY Lister in GT Class... I know that I would win easy with Salen or 575 but ... GOD, that is a real race machine. Love it ...
You don't see many Lister storms on the track in some of the highly competative Gt series in europe and North America. I think it would still be a competitor.
HOW AWKWARD that this car has a Jaguar V12, and the XJ-220 doesn't. XP lol. I can't believe I keep forgetting about this car and its awesomeness. It needs more awareness. Someone should find one of the super rare road car version of this and review it. *COUGH*TOPGEAR*COUGH*.
storm was my fav car in Gran turismo 2.. cuz it was much cheaper than the other Speical cars... and if u tune it and all it would still cost u less than even the rally cars...and it had the nicest acceleration and handling.. STORM FTW!
ooh iremeber watching british gt this month.and when the lister was destroying the mclaren f-1 gtr long tail even though the f-1 bmw engine is better then the jaguar in terms of compression ratio...........etc
I don't get this "car review"... I mean, Tiff - as ex-professional driver... then he's just going down the straight again and again then doing doughnuts for an hour or something... It can't be that fun :D
I love his enthusiasm!
One of my favorite cars from when i was younger v12 lister storm bad ass car! Reminds me of playing playstation 1 early 90s.
Gran turismo!
Thank goodness my dad got me ps1 and showed me this car specifically. Such a hidden gem, I barely know about cars and bring this beast up and almost no one ever knows what I’m talking about.
Lister Storm - a very fine racecar in the 90's. I've seen (and HEARD) it live at Hockenheim, Germany - unforgetable!!!
lovely car. the sound is awesome.. and love the gearshifts...
oh what a car!, memories from gran turismo 2
Crazy! My dad got me that game, and would tell me about how insane this car was, he even got me a folder with the car on it for school 😂😂
This insane piece of machinery will always be the reason to push myself forward in life, BECAUSE I NEED MY OWN
This was a crazy monster with a BIG, 12 CYLINDER engine in the front! This defied all other supercars who's engines are mid mounted!
background music has a mission impossible feel
Tiff is a legend
The styling is very unique on this car. Not many cars these days have the "wedge," styling anymore. The engine also sounds unique. It isn't a smooth sounding V12 like most V12s of today, but a raspy, bold sound.
leylandcarsloverslea IIRC it was a TWR Jaguar V12 derived from TWR Jaguar's Group C program.
Amazing car

This is what race cars should sound like.......
Such a wonderful sound....
yes lister storm was one of the biggest supercars... it was bigger and wider than a lambo... and features a 7 litre jaguar v12... means its the largest v12 to be fitted in a car
The last shot is legendary.
Insane car, i love it.
seriously good looking car!
Has Audi 90 Tail lights too...
I love the mission impossible theme knock off at the start
nope, it's a jaguar v12, and at almost 7000cc is one of the largest V12 fittend in a car.
Raul T I know some one that has a 8L jag engine in his car bored it out his self
The beast drives a beast! Superb!
tiff is the best
that is badass
V12. Take that green peace. Love me some carbon footprint.
I agree so much =)
He's great
i like it.a race car that looks like a race car:)
i saw this exact car at Croft, it was in the pit garage with its backend off, and when they started it, it turned my pants brown !! and NUFC - - - Toooon Army !!
thats one sexy machine
yup worked on and driven one of those. but only the 7litre v12 twin supercharged one.very impressive .the guy who owned it took me out for a spin in it ,what a cool guy:-) flames came out of the exhausts just moving it around the workshop at tick over LOL!! was just a lad at the time ,but had read up on it b4 it came to our work,so the guy was impressed someone know all about the specs.
No supercharger. N/A

I see it at brands beat the tvr speed 12 please say you see that car if you did were very lucky
I used to drive a Lister Storm back in the 90s.
On Need For Speed
Gran Turismo 2 for me, and still playing it today.
Yeap. It was a real "dinosaur" of 90's it was even old then, it was BIG and less power then Viper's that where comming, Ferraris .... and it was STILL WINNING till 2005 .... that is real GT LEGEND car :-)
@direbloodraven
Yeah its a shame racing cars get retired after one season, makes me very sad :(
Listening to this violent animal screaming down the road you soon understand why they called it a Storm!
The lister storm was the reason I beat Gran Turismo 2. :D
Hell of a car. I have a certain fondness for the Mazda 787B though.
beautiful
Brian Lister.
@kareemcool2007
In GTR and GTR2 ... I race ONLY Lister in GT Class... I know that I would win easy with Salen or 575 but ... GOD, that is a real race machine. Love it ...
Beautiful car
Wheres the "A GTR Skyline would beat that' guy? LOL
This was not an attractive car to me, but to the wind and the track it was beautiful. It was a winner.
BAR Livery
it uses a Jaguar V12
That Jag V12
I'd love to have a gearbox like this.
@TripleZ89 The problem is that the Lister is too rare. Only 4 road versions were produced and only 3 still survive
You don't see many Lister storms on the track in some of the highly competative Gt series in europe and North America. I think it would still be a competitor.
Brunout time
the american le mans series is quite popular although the gt1 class is dead
So agricultural, but what a beast
@djbowza its a rare car.. and the highlight of this segment was to show the inline gearbox, what better way than in a straight line?
What is the song?
Better things to do.. like watching Tiffs office.
The song is Mission Impossible... Remix? I think so!
thumbs up if you stooped at 0:14 to find where they cut the scene
i'm sure it's not hard to get a couple of new ones

@dan4oslav2 So what? People take ordinary cars up the strip all the time so what's the difference between that or anything else?
The music at the start is a complete rip off of "Take a Look Around" by Limp Bizkit
Lister should have used this engine in there lmp900
scenario: if I won the lottery I'd buy full on ex LeMans racecars and use them regularly as my daily drivers.
At about 8m 50s in the 'doughnut' stunt, there is a church spire briefly visible --- was the Lord listening?
whats the name of the song in the beginning
great british car, i do believe they only ever made 20 road cars. never seen one but i would soooo cream :-p
Did he race this lister in the 97 le mans when the mclarens debuted?
It sounds like a remix of the Mission Impossible theme.
i just love that wow haaa ferraris wath that is a lister dudes that car is the master of the gt cars
At Speed it sounds like a TVR Speed 12
Sounds mean!
grand turismo 4!!!!
storm was my fav car in Gran turismo 2.. cuz it was much cheaper than the other Speical cars... and if u tune it and all it would still cost u less than even the rally cars...and it had the nicest acceleration and handling.. STORM FTW!
nice office !!! lol
What's the music in the beginning?
The V12 is the only music you need here!
Anyone know the song?
@singleblankscreen yeah i noticed that too
I worked for listers and built the chassis for that car tiff was slow in it julian bailey could really pedal it!
stormgt2 I’m trying find a video of the lister lmp900
what's the intro music?
limp bizkit)
Hey, thanks. Great service!
ooh iremeber watching british gt this month.and when the lister was destroying the mclaren f-1 gtr long tail even though the f-1 bmw engine is better then the jaguar in terms of compression ratio...........etc
This car is so underpowered in Gran Turismo 2
That is odd, even without engine or exhaust modifications I can still win races, especially in GT World League.
Its actually very competitive especially when fully tuned however the handling is a bit tricky.
8 year old comment but you may have been thinking about GT3
@tastybuilder23 so do i i have that tape also
nope, that would be a Lamborghini V12
Leonidae jag v12 😂
They could've at least timed it on the quarter mile. It's a disused runway ffs!
Coz it's impossible, sir.
3:47
@xBurninRubberx lol like jeremy would let that happen haha
yeah...it really is... ugh
Best front engined car of all time :)
I don't get this "car review"... I mean, Tiff - as ex-professional driver... then he's just going down the straight again and again then doing doughnuts for an hour or something... It can't be that fun :D
totally stole the limp bizkit song n played it in different order to avoid copyright
will it kill a gtr omega 12?
in a circuit race yes
i still find him annoying
Tiff Needell talks WAY too much.
