    Just got one of these at a house sale. So far this is the best how to video I’ve watched. Thanks 👍

    I still have two old 600 jr's I use for 16 and 20 gauge loads. Pretty much bomb proof.

    Great video and demonstration on how to load shotshell on a mec. I've done some on my Lee Loadall 2 in 12ga but decided to upgrade to a mec and found a used one I could afford a few days ago but haven't done any loading with it yet. Probably this weekend when I have a bit more free time. Thanks for the great video!

      Thank you for watching, and commenting on my video! I also started out on a Lee Loadall, but after about 1,000 rounds (I was shooting skeet at the time), I decided to try a MEC. I still have the Loadall for small batches of shells, and it works just fine, but I think you'll like the MEC.

    Great video on basic operation of the 600Jr, thank you. Hope you can do a follow-on video of the importance of and how to use a powder scale to verify powder and shot charge weights.

      Thanks for watching! It’s funny you mention the follow on. I shot video yesterday for using a Lee Load All, and half the video is going to be changing bushings and measuring powder weights!

    Very useful video. I've been reloading for over 40 years and have owned several makes of reloaders. In my opinion the MEC is the best for the money. I wanted to watch this video to see if there was any BS such as using a cheerio to fill space. Or substituting Black Powder for smokless. I glad to say that you kept on track and didn't do anything stupid or dangerous.
    I actually saw on another reloading video a man seating a primer with a wooden mallet.😵🥴 Thanks for the informative video.

    Just got a sizemaster in 410 for Christmas. Looking forward to cranking out some pinky rounds. Been loading 1 ounce gun club 12 gauge on the 9000. Grandpa taught me on the "jr" more than 50 years ago. Where did you find the WW 209 primers?

    • @hannibal61577
      @hannibal61577  9 місяців тому

      I've had those Winchester 209s for several years now. I was buying them at a local gun shop before everything went stupid again. Currently, I'm saving my last Winchesters for my STS hulls and using Cheddite 209s for the Gun Clubs because I heard the Cheddites will stretch the primer pocket. Haven't tested that theory myself yet. Thanks for watching!

      Sunset Distributing for any loading supplies

      Hey danthurman, do you have a web address for sunset distributors? I'm not finding anything specific.

      @@jimwhite9483 I have been researching, I find out they have closed the Main building, changed names, and no longer have components for sale because of the shortages. They still sell semi loads of White Flyer targets. Sad day in the shooting world in Iowa.

    I got to get me one of these as I do a lot of hunting with shotgun more than any other firearm. How long can you make that 25lb bag of shot last?

    • @hannibal61577
      @hannibal61577  4 місяці тому

      these are 1 oz loads for trap and skeet, so, if I did the math right, I'll get about 400 shells out of the 25 pound bag. If you're shooting heavier loads for hunting, then you'll get less.

    Where/how do you check the powder charge for accuracy? Same question for shot? Cheers!

    • @hannibal61577
      @hannibal61577  9 місяців тому

      Yes, definitely recommended to check for accuracy! I recently put out another video on using the Lee Load All 2 where I spend a great deal of time checking the powder accuracy. I used an electronic scale in that video. You could use that to check both powder and shot, just remember to change it from grains to ounces. Any scale that you trust will do the trick.

    Does that manual have cheddite component data?

      Yes, it does have some. Seems to be pretty limited though.
